It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Simpsons is off for the summer. Did you catch the last episode 18 season finale reminder? What did you think of the season finale? Did you ever have a pet organ? Also, as mentioned 22 weeks ago, season 35 is finally under way in the UK. Did you catch the start of season 35 if you live in the UK?
The next Act of the current major event, The Summer of our Discontent, just got underway this morning. Did you catch Graham’s rundown? How are you progressing so far in the mini event?
Did you submit your photos to Alissa for the last event’s Showoff?

I’m not so worried about getting all the building and extras for each events, but I do try and finish the “character collections” group for each one. I’m not seeing where I can get the dog, the chameleons, or the kids bushes/cacti to finish the collection. Am I missing something or not looking hard enough? Hoping maybe they’ll be in the final act of the event.
For the cactus kids, I would recommend re-watching the Spoiler Video (or wait until Act 4).
NPCs (chameleons for this event) usually become available limited time for sale after the event ends.
As for the dog, unfortunately you missed out on the Donut Day deal.
For a while now, I’ve been finding that the “find chameleons” function in the event menu dumps me way out into the water, beyond any sections I have bought, and where there are no chameleons to be seen. So it has become useless/broken for me. It won’t take me to any actual chameleons in my town, just that one spot of water. Anyone else experiencing this? And more importantly, is there a fix? I know it’s a minor thing, but it was nice when it was working. I ended up not realizing I’d met the torch goal (so could have had a jump start on the next prize track), only to realize finding chameleons was holding me back!

Chameleons might show up on the Ocean or in other weird hiding places, I had one hiding under the Beach Hideaways.
I also noticed if you tap the Do It before the animation is complete it takes you back to the one you just collected rather than on to the next one.
Try zooming right in and hit the middle of the screen as soon as it displays. If there’s one even close it should grab it for you, unless it’s one that’s moving away fast.
It might not be an answer for everyone, but it’s wort a try.
I don’t know if this has been mentioned before but; who else would love a second tab in the game, like Krustyland, but instead beable to use it to move items between the 2, and design a new town? As a player from the beginning, I’m not brave enough the blow up my town; I’ve got too much stuff! The lack of land, and the decoration limits both hinder me from being able to use all the items I have. Just think of all the amazing town(s) people could build?
I don’t know how practical/easy this would be to add, but, just saying EA….
I’d like a button that switches accounts on the device, so you don’t have to go through the process of signing in every time.
I totally agree. The lack of land and the decoration limit certainly puts a stop to creating your best town. Now I have to store items to be able to play the next challenge and I don’t want to start a second game. I want to see my whole town built from the start. Please EA consider updating the limits to land and decorations.
I purchased the Town Plaza from the current event but without bandits to catch I cannot build the missing buildings. Or is there some other way to upgrade it? Now I am stuck with the ruins.
Sadly, no way to upgrade it.
Sadly, the building can no longer be upgraded. I would recommend having it in the middle of a group of oil wells, with the yellow and black barriers around it to make it seem as if it is being removed. Any construction decorations would also help make it look better.
At last something different from EA. The Gil Deal is a must buy, I’ll let Graham fill you in in due course
