It was nine years ago, just after the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs bracket was complete that I thought it might be cool to do a The Simpsons Tapped Out bracket. Here we are nine years later, and it’s time for our tenth TSTO Addicts Bracket Battle!
Following a great Paris Summer Olympics, in which Canada set a record for most gold medals and most medals in a non-boycotted Summer Olympics, it’s time to think about all the different Olympic mascots The Simpsons has brought us. With that in mind, we present to you TSTO Addicts’ Favourite Olympic Mascot Bracket Battle.
Over the past 35+ seasons, we’ve seen many unnamed Olympic mascots:

However, we created a Bracket of 8 Olympic mascots specifically named in The Simpsons episodes from over the past 35 seasons.
All 8 mascots will battle each other in three rounds of head-to-head matchups, that we hope produces the most debate in the comments below. Every Saturday over summer, we’ll post that week’s matchups and your votes will determine which Olympic mascot advances to the next round, until we’ve crowned our “Favourite Olympic Mascot” on Saturday September 7th.
Quickly, some general housekeeping rules and guidelines:
– 8 Olympic mascots were selected.
– Weekly matchups will be posted on Saturday and voting will remain open for over 6 days until noon EDT the following Friday.
– The schedule of matchups is as follows:
o Saturday August 10th – Week 1 of Round 1 Quarterfinal matchups
o Saturday August 17th – Week 2 of Round 1 Quarterfinal matchups
o Saturday August 24th – The Round 2 Final Four Semifinals matchups
o Saturday August 31st – The Round 3 Championship Finals matchup
o Saturday September 7th – The winner is unveiled
Here are the results from last weeks two matchups:
Springy (87.3%) destroyed Abby the Tabby (12.7%)
Montreal Vampire (68.9%) defeated Atlanta Whazzit (31.1%)
Here’s the updated Bracket (click on image to view enlarged version):
Now without further ado, our second set of head-to-head matchups:
Ciggy versus Sochi Fatov

Vancouver Chilbert versus Chamonix Ennui

Reminder, voting is open until noon EDT Friday August 23rd.
What are your thoughts on this weeks matchups? Of the two matchups above, which was the easiest decision and which was the hardest? What do you think of last weeks results? What do you think of the Bracket? Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you.

I prefer Abby the Tabby over Springy, so I’m disappointed that the cat did not win in the first round.
Go Ciggy! It’s been 4 years but I still miss you..it was so hard to quit you baby, after so long as a great team, even though you hurt me, I forgive you .if I close my eyes..I swear I can still smell you.
Graham, is it worth it for me to buy all the extra donut boxes every single time? I’m at level 939 and it takes me about 14 KEMs for a level up. I have a 700% bonus
It’s a very subjective question for KEMs, less so for Truck Farming.
Depends on the cost of your farm and how many rounds you get as well as bonus and factor extra cost and time taken.
My instinct for that bonus is yes.
My C town that I started last January has a bonus a bit over 5,000% so 32 KEMs get me 17 rounds.
I always pick the same box, so average luck should mean I get about 34 donuts each time.
Chasing 3 isn’t worth it for me. Even though I have the money to spare it’d double the time to collect.
What I do instead is one retry if it’s one donut, so maybe I get 2 donuts 10 times and 3 donuts for the other 7.
With my rotten luck it’s usually 9 or more of the 17 boxes so half as long extra to collect.
The magic number for trucks etc. is 1,416%
At that one Bloodmobile is a million XP
With average luck the first box for 100 trucks gets you 200 Ds
With average luck another 100 retries takes it to 300 Ds
The first 200 cost $9.9 mil, very slightly less than $50k a Donut
The extra 100 cost $5 mil, exactly 50k for each extra Donut.
The other factor is time, because of the delay before you can collect or try again.
You can rattle through 15 boxes a minute, but because we’re human and get tired / bored / distracted then realistically it’s more like a maximum of 800 boxes an hour.
With average luck taking the first box gets you 1,600 Ds
With average luck you do 400 rounds and 400 retries for 1,200 Ds
Not only did you get less Donuts, it cost an extra $20 mil to retry.
Ermmm …
Oooh – forgot about Fatov! I’m hoping for a Springy vs. Fatov final, but I’m not sure which I’d choose!
