  1. Love seeing all these comments the past few days. Stinks this game is coming to an end after all these years. I’ve been playing almost everyday since summer of 2013. Logged into my game one last time while ago and nuked my town but left the core Simpson family on animated tasks.
Thanks to the addicts on this site and the Family Guy site as well for all the information you provided all of us!
That name again is Mr. Plow…… lol

  2. I hope this isn’t the final goodbye to the little community we’ve built here. Some who have been here since I started right before the THOH event in 2014. Looking at you, Sandra. Thanks to all the Mods for all you’ve done. I hope the YT spoiler videos stay up for nostalgia. I’ll enjoy the videos of your town, still recording my own, thanks to Patric’s post- I wouldn’t have known. Now off to record some Monorail rides. Smell ya Later! – Sarah Gibbs

    • 💜💜 Back at ya, Sarah! I’ll stick around here for as long as Alissa keeps the site running. Also, if you’re of a mind to send one, I’d he happy to accept a Facebook friend request from you… I’m the Sandra Shill with the orange flowers. I treasure all of my longtime neighbors…just sorry that some left and never came back, like tapebelt and Cube3Dex. I also worry about lambwafflex, who was practically living at the hospital and disappeared from the game a while ago…I hope she’s still alive and well. I really wanted to remember my dear neighbors, so I took a video of a scroll through my neighbors list!

      • If I had another day with the recorder I would have gone in and recorded tapebelts, Ebron’s and some of my other long defunct, but really cool, neighbor’s towns. Sadly, it did not work out that way. I’m glad for what I did manage to capture though.
I’ll look for you on FBm but truth be told I’m not on there much. I haven’t found another game I’m interested in either. Over Christmas I got a smokin’ deal on Ancestry all access to resubscribe, so I’m doing that.

  3. Many thanks TSTO addics, for all your passion, efforts and love you put in this website for so many years! I really loved the game and this website gave me so many tipps, tricks and informations on updates and how to master the game. It was very helpful and a great resource of knowledge. Thank you all!

  4. Bye Bye the only game i’ve consistently played since i phone 2 ~ finally got 500 characters and never spent money on tapped out !

  5. It’s been a pleasure everyone!
Thanks again to all my faithful friends. It was always a treat seeing your towns and I appreciated your many visits to my town.
    Take care 🙂

Still putting characters on favorite tasks and will keep playing tonight till the server is turned off.

Thank you to everyone, it’s been a blast, I will miss this.

    • I don’t think we were neighboreeno’s but I’ve seen your name around here a long time and I think your town is on Alyissa’s video list. I can’t wait to see it. I was too late to see the post to record and publish my own pocket size town, but, as a long time fellow addict, I look forward to seeing yours. <3 Sarah B Gibbs

  7. Bye everyone!
Sending 24 hrs task for ever….
371 characters love the game since day 1.

  8. Does anyone have a favourite animated task? Just trying to rewatch all the great tasks we have had before Mr Burns pulls the power on the server.

    • KRoon64/ Keith Rooney

Super hero event, train for future conflict and anyone with a motorbike.

    • Taking videos and screenshots of the B Sharps, Pin Pals, Stonecutters, Moe’s Express, Donut Head and MooMoo Homer. Lisa tackling the Eliminator and Playing on sax on the Memorial Bridge. Demon Technician processing backlog of souls, Cthulu dreaming of Annihilating all life…

      • I left the B-Sharps singing on the stagr for eternity. I’ll never forgot the first time I saw them in someone else’s town and immediately wanted them SO badly!

  9. Thank you for all your help over the years! You will be so missed.

It is fair to end the game without convenient warning ⚠️
Ending the ” The Simpsons game Tapped Out its the same to end the episodes of The Simpsons
Really sad EA doesn’t worry about the players

      • They told us back on the 27th of September 2024, to give plenty of warning, rather than the minimum 30 days notice.

        More than fair.
Would have been a real blow finding out at Christmas !!

      • Without warning?!? They gave us a three-month warning! How much more did you want??

  10. So long everyone, it’s been fun…..

  11. Thank you to this team more than anyone as you have made playing this game so much more enjoyable by your posts, videos, hard work at giving us intel for the game, etc. You are simply the BEST!! Let’s all try and focus on the positive and celebrate our memories with fondness. It has been such a fun ride over the years and I’m grateful for the friends and laughs along the way. Thanks for everything!!! xo

  12. This is really it then. Feels weird after all this time, this silly, brilliant little game helped me through som rough patches

I’ve sent the Simpsons home to be with each other
I’ve taken more screenshots and suchlike than I care to admit
I’ve visited my neighbours one last time; to elaine_hall2, zaismas, beachy75 and the others, it has been a genuine pleasure watching your towns grow
Huge thanks to the TSTO team and community for, well, everything over the last more than a decade

Goodbye, little town. I’ll miss you x

  13. Good bye. I set various people to a few of my favorite jobs. Rewarded others with rest or fun stuff to do. In my mind they are now doing that forever. I deleted the game yesterday.

I’m not sure when I started but my first screenshot I see is me at level 38 in may 2014 taking a screenshot of a “Natural Faberge Egg”. 🙂

After over 11 years, I said good bye to my town. Sad day! Visited sndl498 one last time. Thanks for being a long time active friend. Thanks for all the help I found on this website. You people are the best!

  15. It’s almost midnight for me and the servers will be shutdown at 7am local time, so it’s all over for me. Everything is wrapped up, the screenshots and videos are done, and everyone is on their 24 hour tasks forever. I’m only sad when I think about the times spent with my young daughter showing her different parts of my town, especially as she always asked to see the zoo and flaming dragon time and time again. But all good things must come to an end.

So long and thanks for all the doughnuts!

  16. Well so long and thanks for all the fish…..I am now, going to a safe place and thjnk about Dohnuts.

  17. I started playing during whacking day, made it through all the server issues and nonsense. Playing today feels like the orchestra playing as the titanic went down but it’s kinda funny. Thanks to scrabblegurumark for being a great neighboreeeno, always visiting even though my town is ugly AF. I’m still buying donuts like mad just because I can…remember when they were SO hard to come by!
    Peace out yall!

  18. Playing since the first day, playing until the end.
I have discover this site just few months ago, but I feels every sorrow of this community.
My city is still there, my heart too.
A part of me is in the game and the game is (not was) part of me.
    Bye friends…see you soon…

  19. I took a screenshot but no idea where it went?? I’m on an Amazon fire but it should be this hard to locate where the saved images went, it’s doing my head in.. Lol. Any ideas?

  20. Started in Oct 1014, so I had a good run. Never thought I would get choked up over a game but here I am. It’s a sad day in Mudville…. And in Springfield as well. Farewell.

  21. Smell ya later!

    • affable37689aaba8

Wow. Not sure when I started playing. At least 12 years. My kids were little then and now in university. lol. I recorded a voice memo of the music yesterday. Actually really noticed how calming it has been to me lately. OMG. Seems so strange talking this way about a game!! Gonna miss the embarrassment of Homer talking randomly when my phone isn’t on silent. Safe tapping my friends in your other games. Gonna miss this more than I think I would. 😢💦

  22. Deleted the game yesterday afternoon after a thorough nuking. Almost 12 years ago I found a game that helped me through the death of my parents, two deployments for the husband and countless trainings and events. I’m not sure Tapped Out will ever be replaced. Thanks to the TSTO folks that kept us informed, and thanks to all my neighbors. I vandalized every one of them for the first time ever yesterday 😜

  23. Last night I sent all my characters on 24 hr tasks and tried to visit all my neighbors one last time but kept getting kicked out.

  24. Tried to get a confirmed time for the servers to end –
    no news on that, sorry

    • My guess it is the same time the store sections Taps run out.

      • There’s a slim chance the servers will stay working for a little while after that, or they pull the plug early. Depends on who’s actually doing that and where they are in the world if it’s not a pre-programmed server access page update.

The only people that know aren’t saying anything

  25. Au revoir, dear friend. What hours we wiled away together, what laughs we had. Pictures of you will have to do for moments when I’m missing you. 💋

  26. I was going to blow the town up, but I just couldn’t do it. I’ve taken Klingons idea and sent everyone off on a never ending task.

Thanks for being here over the years, and good luck with the future.

    Rick

  27. Thank you Alyssa, Safi, Graham, Wookie and all that have contributed to this, the time youve taken out of your days, for every time youve picked the ball up where EA have dropped it and for sustaining the game through previewing events, workthroughs, workarounds and adding competitive commentary on your forums. Now, much like Lionel Hutz imagining a world without lawyers, i imagine us all joining hands digitally and bidding a final farewell to a game that has brought us all much enjoyment.

    Take care friends x

  28. Well, that’s 707 characters sent on the 24 hour tasks they’ll never finish…

It’s been fun over the years, and this has been a really good site too.

I would, though, like to say thanks to EA for how they’ve handled the shutdown.

(prepares to duck loads of abuse :-))

The terms we signed up to said they could close the game down with 30 days notice, but instead they gave us 120 days warning, and some tweaks to help people complete as much as possible.

I’ll probably try and log into the game tomorrow, just to see the shut-down message, but then I’ll finally free up some space on my phone.

    • I agree with you about how EA handled this, actually. They did a lot of things they didn’t have to do (and other companies wouldn’t bother to do), from making will of the content available and affordable, to giving us some great final dialog, to giving us a really long time to wrap stuff up. I’m on your side on this one, for sure!

  29. I played from August 2012 right up to the end. I just went in and said my goodbyes. I cleared out all final daily tasks, and all characters are roaming freely. The last thing I did was to go to the news station and put the weather report to forever sunny.

Thank you Alyssa, Safi, Graham, Wookie (and even Bunny) for all the guidance, enthusiasm, and good cheer over the years. Good luck to you, wherever your paths may lead.
