Act 2 of The Van Houtens is upon us. Time to get cool with Milhouse…
The Van Houtens Event follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it. This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting just over a week (10 days) and taking us through a new part of the event!
For Act 2 we’re tasked with collecting Sunglasses! Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the second part of the story. So let’s take a look at the details behind Act 2 and the Turbo Tappin’ Version for Sidekicked Aside…
If You’re Having Issues Collecting Sunglasses, Note: Some of you are having issues earning sunglasses. The task to earn the Sunglasses has to take place at the Springfield Heights Theater. The files do indicate that the backup location, in case you haven’t yet unlocked the theater, is the Brown House. Unfortunately, there must be an issue with the coding because even with a Brown House and no Theater it’s not working. So, unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do about it right now but contact EA or wait until they correct it with a patch. Odds are they’ll release a patch shortly once folks complain about it.

Who’s ready for more Van Houten fun? Act 2 of the Van Houtens has arrived!
Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on September 16th. However, Act 3 will start on August 30th (note the Sunday start date).
Things kick off for Act 2 with some dialogue between the kids of Springfield Elementary, Milhouse and Annika…
Nelson: Whoa. Is that…Van Houten? With a girl? Sherri and Terri: She’s pretty. And so mature looking. Janey: Wait, which one of you said which part of that? Sherri and Terri: I said she’s pretty. And I said she’s mature looking. Milhouse: It looks like my plan is working. Everyone is smitten with envy at the sight of such a power couple. Annika: Fine. Just don’t touch me. Milhouse: Yes, milady! Annika: That includes with your eyes.
This triggers the Act 2 questline, Sidekicked Aside,and is followed by 4hr tasks for Milhouse and Annika, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (115). Sidekicked Aside is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.
