I just got back into a service area and am going through to try and pick out all the new changes. I will Update here as I can.
NEGATIVE TASKS
It looks like the -xx issue many of us had is now resolved and the tasks should be working properly again. So those that were stuck should be able to progress normally again.
If you are STILL having this issue, try to restart your device and check App Market to ensure you are fully updated. Then contact EA if still issues.
BRANDINE BIRTHING
Lots of reports from Players that a New Spuckler just joined the game for them. So check to see if you also got yours in your game. (You may have to check inventory storage in the Characters Icon Section.)
If you are STILL having this issue, try to restart your device and check App Market to ensure you are fully updated. Then contact EA if still issues.
Brandine Spuckler: 100 Donuts. For those of you wondering if Brandine is worth 100 Donuts, here is her Original Should I Buy. Add to that her tasks this Event.
KRUSTY STATION
We have 4 New Pieces now to add on to the Krusty Station. These are similar to the Platforms for the Main Monorail Station. They are here for a Limited Time (Less than 12days now on timer).
Drive-Thru Awning: 25 Donuts, +0.25% Bonus to xp & $$$
Drive-Thru Extension: 25 Donuts, +0.25% Bonus to xp & $$$
Drive-Thru Stairs: 50 Donuts. +0.50% Bonus to xp & $$$
Drive-Thru Platform: 10 Donuts, +0.25% Bonus to xp & $$$
PLACE PROJECT BOARD GLITCH
As this glitch did not impact me personally, I am flying blind on that one. For those that had the issue that you could NOT place the Project Board as the “DO IT” Option never even showed up for you, please let us know if this helped to patch the issue. If not, I need to bug EA some more. 😉
CRASHING/LAGGING
I have placed this all over in the comments as well as noted on it since… well… for as long as I can remember, but with this Event there is an additional cause.
Memory Drain. It is a big issue in highly outside animated Events. This is why keeping 4500 items in game helps among other things. Help your device when this hits really hard, like this Event.
- Disable Monorail. Pull the track pieces away from the station to prevent it from moving around your game or when Neighbors Visit.
- Store NPC’S and any other animated items not in use.
- Don’t push the 4500 limit. If you do, expect the game to slow and more “texture” glitches to name a few things
- Keep non essential Characters on indoor tasks or store them in your inventory.
- Play ONLY this App. In other words kill all other Apps that are running BEFORE launching this one. Anything in the background while this is going (Facebook, SnapChat, Twitter, etc) will take Memory away from the app as they fight over the availability.
- Give it space, LOTS of space. Like 2-3GB of empty space on your device. Insane I know, but highly active Events take a lot.
- Run on highest stable internet connection as possible. WiFi usually works best, and also doesn’t wipe out your Data Plan
Remember, if you are having trouble getting in your game… so might your neighbors. Memory Drain impacts more than just you. So help you and your Neighbors or they may not visit if your town crashes their game each time.
Outside of that. EA knows how big this one is pulling on the Memory Drain. Hopefully they can make some cuts to help combat it too. Until then, try the tips to see if it helps. In the meantime, keep reporting to EA the Crash Issues.
There you have it. Some additions to this really cool Event, some patches, and some Spucklers. Lol.

I blew up my Springfield just before the event started. I’ve been placing buildings constantly for the past week! I actually think that I was sleep tapping last night.
I got the little update in my game when I went to clear out my trash collectors.
A bonsai was placed in my inventory – Akira had been on his last task on getting the bonsai at least 5 times in the last few days. So whatever glitch that was, it was fixed with this patch.
I also got a new Spuckler kid even though I never rushed Brandine on her pregnancy. She still has a month to go. Happy reward glitch.
That’s all I really noticed.
I done see any update that patches. My game switched to offering Brandine and all the new stuff, but nothing has changed for the negative number task glitch. I didn’t see an app store update nor was I aware that I was forced to download a patch. Did I misread? (I haven’t seen anything about these issues being fixed from elsewhere…)
It was an in game update. Wasn’t that big of a file so it’s possible you missed it…
But I have the sloooowest internet… how could I possibly miss it? Alrighty, though.
FYI, it later got fixed. I still don’t recall an update happening later, but something must have intervened…
I’m sure it is, but just to check, this is an in-game update isn’t it? Because I don’t have anything in the Google Play Store and I still can’t get in. I hope they can fix this soon and make it easy for me to get what I missed, this is an event that I really wanted to play. I enjoyed the others but this is much more appealing to me.

My guess is they’ll fix it once the monorail event is over. Right now they’re focused on that…
The “can’t store them”? If so… still bugging them but I doubt they will remove it til they patch the more than 10 issue it’ll stop as storing allowed it. It’s not priority most likely. Event is.

I’ve been wondering how to do this for a while now!
Every time I try to remove stink lines from the retirement home or elementary school the game will freeze then crash. Started doing it yesterday and now I just have to leave them all smelly.

OMG, thank you SO much. Removing the tracks and making the monorail not move fixed my freezing/crashing issue. Now I can finally play!!!

I have the same problem on my Kindle
I bought Brandine way back when she came out and birthed the original three Spucklers. Not seeing a fourth Spuckler if that what this article implies. I checked the character inventor list and my iOS game only shows three Spuckler kids for that character group. Am I missing a fourth kid? Thanks for the help as always
No new Spucklers. Just a fix for people who rushed Brandine for the monorail event and didn’t get their kiddos.
Not a fix for me. Had 13 days left until spuckler #2 and rushed it. EA refunded my donuts but still no spuckler. 🙁 I’ll contact EA again tomorrow and hopefully they can fix.
I am going to contact EA on Monday. My game crashes after every 2 neighbor visits. Trying to visit neighbors is pretty much impossible. I’ve tried all your tips. I honestly think there’s something wrong with the game. But I’ll call EA tomorrow. Thanks for the tips though 👍🏽
But is it on specific Neighbors it is crashing? Or different one each time? If it is the same… issue I listed here.
Different ones. I can pick random neighbors and it will happen after 2-3 visits to other neighbors.

Yeah it’s weird. I’ve deleted the game and re-downloaded it 3 times just in case it’s had a bad file.
So I talked to EA and they said they were aware of the crashing issue and that they are working on a fix 😐
Running fine but still the weird -97/1 task and Akira still can’t make Bonsais properly. Just an fyi.

Re: The updated section – How can I find out how many items I have placed in my town?
I often get visual glitches (which are sometimes amusing), so this may be a reason for my issues… I’ll follow your tips from above, but it’d be handy to be able to keep an eye on how many items I have out so I can try not to go over in future. Is there an easy way to check, or would I have to manually count?
Sadly…manual count, or nuke your town… total it up… then count as you place it down. o.O
manual count?? lol masochistic…. just continue to add objects to your town until an object warning pops up. if i’m not mistaken, it warns you every 150 objects after you hit 4500.
Thanks for this tip, I’ve never had a warning, so perhaps that’s not my issue.
For now I just stored the buildings that were causing the crashes, went to Krustyland so it synced, came back and put them back out. So far so good…
As a completionist this is gonna be hard. Not that I’m excited about the Krusty station add ons but I always buy at least one of everything. Now I’m out of work due to a fractured Shoulder bone. Cool that I have more time for tapping, uncool that I have no income for premiums and I’d rather miss these add ons than what I’m sure is to follow in acts 2 and 3.
I too have a -357 for grandpa to tell stories on the couch. I’ll see how it is tomorrow, Meanwhile, since I did a factory reset, my game is much better. (Also did everything Bunny suggested, store NPC’s, etc.) Ok, back to tapping.
So would you suggest speeding up Bradibe now? I’m on the third Spunkler kid but she has 33 days left. So she will completely miss the event. Cost 12 donuts to complete it. I’m mostly freemium but got 123 sprinkles.
Also I noticed the other day, the earth donuts tasks went away. Did I complete all that’s available? I thought there may have been more
It’s up to you how desperately you need her for the monorail tasks… just lnpw it’d be at your own risk. We don’t know what would happen if you sped her up. If it was me, I’d wait the 33 days. There were only 3 donut earning tasks to complete. Hopefully more will come in Act II.
You can store her. Bring pregnant is an outdoor task. I wouldn’t blue donuts on it because she is probably not going to do much in act two or three, and in act one all she does is make extra garbage (75 per 30 seconds).
I have brandine, were I you I wouldn’t store her, just wait.

A lot of folks, myself included, don’t have Brandine and have been playing this event just fine. So, if in were you, I definitely would NOT post with precious sprinklies to rush her.
I stored Brandine instead of rushing her, and just got the third Buckler. Win!
Let everyone know this: I did contact EA and I was told that the “waste decorations”, the ones you get when buying land, do count towards the total number of buildings/decorations in the town. I did have most of them tucked away behind buildings in case I wanted to decorate with them in the future but now I have been sending Homer and Lisa to “clean up the town”.
I get that you all have a vested interest in the success and usage of this game, but you’re response to the constant crashing since the last update is useless. I’ve tried restarting, reinstalling, storing every animated building/decoration, storing non-essential characters – and none of this is stopping the crashing every time I tap on a building a neighbor has dumped on. Instead of repeating and repeating and repeating the same ‘advice’, why don’t you admit that this latest storyline is causing some major issues?
Instead of taking it out on those just trying to help… you know the ADDICTS, the ones that do NOT make this game… and offering tips that DO help a lot of players, please take that frustration and anger to those that make the game and ask them to make changes to THEIR game to help. You know, EA. 😉
In the meantime the ADDICTS will keep offering help to our Readers with Tips that DO help out. Just sayin. 😉

I don’t think anyone is trying to take it out on you guys, and certainly no one is blaming you. I honestly just think that there have been too many unresolved issues lately from a company that knows how to and has the means to do much better. I understand you guys are fans, as we all are, and I know that you don’t make millions from the blog or work for EA. However, I think at a certain point you do owe it to your loyal readers to give your honest opinions and not criticize people for making justified complaints. I think a lot of people are turned off by the unflappable optimism and lack of honest dialogue about how things are going in the game. And yeah, those people don’t have to read the blog. But don’t you guys ever just want to tell people what you REALLY think?? I love your blog but wish you were a little more honest with readers. Just sayin.
The thing is…9 times out of 10 the crashing issues don’t impact us, mostly because we have newer devices and we have loads of space available for the game. ie we follow our own advice. Every so often when they’re widespread, yes they impact us too. (heck Wookiee was locked out of his game for nearly a month) But when they do impact us we don’t freak out about it. We understand it’s the game. We contact EA see what they can do, see what’s going on. And unfortunately often times patience is the only resolution. (like when Wookiee was locked out of his game for nearly a month, there was nothing he could do but be patient and wait for it to get fixed
There are loads of apps/games out there that have similar issues. It’s just part of the giant memory suck they pull on our device. All we can do is give you suggestions of what to do..and sometimes (heck often times) it’s because the device already has a ton on it (draining the memory) and it can’t support these types of events very well. TSTO is a GIANT memory suck on your device. It takes a TON to load it and run on a regular basis, and when events hit they make the game even more bloated.
As far as lack of honest dialogue I dunno what more you want. I could sit here and say yea it sucks, EA’s the worst..but why? What good would that do if we were constantly negative about everything? Don’t you play the game for enjoyment and fun? All we can do is sit here and tell you to contact EA and be patient. Unfortunately some of the issues take time to fix…and yes it sucks.
But as far as what I really think….we give you our honest opinions. Crashing and the issues suck. They really do. But what good is stomping our feet and screaming about it going to do? All we can tell you to do is try the basic steps and if they don’t work, contact EA. If you’re calm and patient about it, you’ll feel a lot better. It’s a game…a frakkin game. Not worth getting your blood pressure up over it.
Look at how you are responding. Since when are we not honest? Because we don’t cuss and swear and incite Flame Wars? Why should we? There is nothing wrong with playing a game and having fun and being happy about it. That is what games are for. FUN.
And no… taking it out on us is NOT justified. If you have an issue, we try and help but it is up to YOU to decide how to take that advice. We don’t make the game. We can’t fix every single issue in existence, but at least we try. If it doesn’t work, don’t take it out on us… go to those that make the Game. EA. Plain and simple.
If you think we are not “Honest” you also missed many many many posts where we tell the readers EXACTLY how the game breaks down. Stuff EA will not tell players. Perfect case… Blueprint caps. Would you know that without us telling you? There are many many many other items. So I find it kind of offensive you are saying we lack honesty around here. We are pretty much nothing but honest fact based. We contact EA on behalf of readers out of our own time when there is a massive issue and tell you EXACTLY what info we find. We post about glitches. About… well… EVERYTHING. So where in there is honesty NOT included?
Let me put this another way, if you went to your Boss with an issue… which option do you think would get you results? Which one is helpful? Which one would have a positive reaction from all involved?
OPTION A: Hey Mr. Jones. I was looking over the reports you just sent to me and found a few different areas I think need to have a bit further attention. Let me explain to you just what I saw, what my thoughts are on how our customers will perceive it, the issues we are running into, and what we can do to change it for the better.

OPTION B: OH MY FRAKKIN FRAK! What kind of frakkin idiot are you? Are you so frakkin stupid that you didn’t bother to even try? I can’t believe how Frakkin retarded you are and how frakkin badly you frakked up! WHAT THE FRAKK IS WRONG WITH YOU??!!! This is just a frakkin distaster!!
Now, tell me… if that was your Boss or… if that was YOU hearing those options… how would YOU react? Which one would YOU prefer? There is always a RIGHT way and WRONG way to handle an “issue” and find a resolution. I think what we do here is working just fine. Just sayin. 😉
Honestly, all I mean by honest dialogue is I’d really like to hear what you guys think in regards to the game. Like, “The monorail is awesome, but I wish they would’ve included X or changed Y.” Or “The Terwilligers event was pretty lame.” Or what you’d like to see in future updates. And I agree about crashing. They usually don’t affect me either, and they do suck for those that do. Which is why people complain, because they know you guys will listen and understand just how frustrating they are. That’s all.
And we do say that. Seriously. EVERYWHERE in comments many times in posts. This event just launched. I’ve already voiced my want of more tracks. I’ve voiced my want to put SH items in storage. We say it, in our own way. Just look.
So many times we voice our thoughts. But we won’t drag a site down for “common things” we see every Event with Every game we play. Not just TSTO. Just look at the Glitch pages.. I’m always telling readers “light it up to get EA’S attention” on forum posts I created on EA’S site or others have.

they’ve said on multiple occasions that this event is causing major issues, and the advice they have been giving is sound. you, on the other hand, sound like my six year old, trying to place blame on others instead of accepting responsibility for your situation. all the restarting/reinstalling/storing in the world is not gonna help if the device you are playing on is really old or jacked up.

Why on Earth would they have to “admit” to a fault in a game they have nothing to do with? You list all the suggestions you have tried except the one that I read all over this blog : contact EA. Feel free to blast EA if you must, but I find it inappropriate to complain about anything these people do because you are free to get advice elsewhere.
Right. So, when this started Brandine had like 18 days to go before her Spuckler would be birthed, and I held off on rushing it, and after reading what happened with other players was glad I had. Now, with 11 days left to go, one of the brood has arrived, yet my Brandine is still pregnant and stuck in her task. And the new Spuckler is currently a non playable character.
It is all very strange. I only just now thought to check to see if I received the payout for the birth-task.
Color me puzzled.
I think they forced it to patch it across the board. Let us know what happens in 11 days. 😉
I don’t know if the brood are supposed to be playable characters or not, but this one is currently running around like a feral cat. I have no idea where she is. I suppose that is pretty true to the nature of the family, though, right? 😀

If they did, it didn’t seem to affect my game. No premature spuckler birth while preggo (i didn’t rush her), and no fix for the negative task.
Mine was still there too but reduced from -144 to -1. So i just did the task twice and it cleared. Not a solution of course…but I’d contact EA and let them know you’re still having the issue..
I feel cheated by EA. I have 36 days left on Brandine and no new Spuckler. I have the first one she birthed months ago, but no new one. I also have a -50/1 task for SVT. Although, come to think of it… I’m going to hard close, and maybe restart my device, becuase I didn’t notice and update. Maybe not cheated after all…
🙁 So, I hard closed, restarted my device, un/reinstalled my game. Still have negative tasks and no Spuckler. I hadn’t rushed the birth because of the problems everyone is having, but it sounds like that’s shouldn’t have mattered. I always seem to somehow miss out on these beneficial glitches…
Except this should be the fix…I would contact EA let them know what’s going on. They may have to send the patch out again
Just got the daily bonus of 5000 blue prints for playing 5 days in a row but they didn’t load into my overall blue print count. Has anyone else seen this issue?
Try to sync up your game by going to Krustyland and/or neighbor. If still not there, try to exit out and restart device. If still not, let EA know.
Thanks! My husband was so happy to get the Spuckler kids this morning after rushing the pregnancy earlier this week. I’ve been pretty lucky in avoiding the glitches so far. My husband’s game has been lagging bad even after storing his NPCs and such. He’s thinking he needs a newer phone now 😉

Restart your device. Double check app market to make sure you are fully updated. Then let EA know what still remains if anything please.
For me in quests of level 32 the negative tasks are okay now, but in my wife’s game (Level 15) the quest “Flaw and Order” still shows -6/3 to arrest Bob.
Have her reset her device. Make sure the Update is forced into her game.
Nope I’ve been complaining about buying brandleline and her not ever being put in my inventory. Yes I contacted EA help last Wednesday which was the 12 th and they said give them 24 to 48 hours and it will be resolved nope! Now they are expecting for me to buy her all over again and of course they not answering there phones calls today ! Wow what am is oppose to do. Help me also hardly any of my neighbors that show that they have blue prints are depositing garbage in my town .why?

If an issue is not resolved, contact them back. Don’t wait on them. You have to be proactive when it comes to EA. I NEVER leave a call or convo with “it will patch later”. I want the issue patched there and then… if not… I am back on the line with another rep the very next day.
Regardless what you see in your Neighbors… that does not mean they will visit you. It could be MANY reasons. Some will stop when the actions run out (first 30 neighbors x 3 taps every 24hrs) and not keep going. So… if your name is at the end… they may not got to you. Plain and simple, if you do not like your neighbors… get new ones. 😉

Has anyone else had the issue where they don’t get blueprints for dumping trash in their neighbors’ towns? When I am in someone’s town and click on the “i” next to the number of blueprints I have the message tells me to keep dumping garbage so your friends earn bonus blueprints. Do we no longer get blueprints or is this an error? Sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere else. Thanks!
