Glutton for Donuts: Breaking Down the Gluttony Rating on the Conform-O-Meter

homer-simpson

Ah Springfield home of the Swanky Fish, Krusty Burger, Lard Lad, El Chemistri…wait what was I talking about?  Oh yea Springfield’s restaurants!  Not only are they home of some delicious food, they also help contribute to your Conform-O-Meter Gluttony Rating.

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

So what other items help add to your Gluttony rating? There are actually quite a few. Let’s take a look at how stuffin’ your face can help your rating…

You can open up your Conform-O-Meter and check where you’re currently sitting with your Gluttony rating by tapping the stars on the bottom left of your main screen, while your in Springfield (Krustyland has it’s own Krust-O-Meter which you can read about here). When you tap on the stars this is what opens up:
gluttony

Your Gluttony rating is impacted by how many restaurants your Springfield currently has (or as TSTO says, ‘Buy restaurants for people too lazy to cook.’)  Much like your Indolence rating, each restaurant contributes 10 points towards your Gluttony rating.

  1. when are you going to break down level 46

    • Soon. It’s usually one of the last posts for the level. But with Halloween out too we’re trying to alternate between event and level. It’ll be out soon though…

  2. I’ve been looking for information on the Coffee Kart. This excellent post appears to have information on everything else. Can anyone confirm if multiples of the Coffee Kart add to the Conform-O-Meter?
    Thanks!

    • Not sure how it was missed. Must not have transferred over from totals when we updated. +10 each time. Vary standard of Gluttony items.

    • Yes!! I maxed out my gluttony rating with 15 coffee karts. They are cheap and small, and give a great boost. You can only place them on the boardwalk, so I hid most of them behind the stores.

  3. I never got the fleet-a-pita quest line. I am level 44 currently. I have never had my gluttony rating or consumerism rating to increase past 3stars. Trying to improve all of my ratings. I am a non-premium player. Also how do I prevent my righteousness rating from plummeting. I have the highest rating and the nut dips down to 1 and half stars which then dips my overall rating. I try to clean the graffiti up quickly, I catch sideshow when I see him. I still have neighbors vandalizing me though. I’m considering kicking all my vandals loose and getting new neighbors from the no vandals list. Thanks

    • Fleet a pita will only trigger if you have Luann. You have to purchase her for it to unlock. So, even though it costs cash it’s basically a premium questline.

For righteousness the easiest (And fastest) way to improve it is to put training walls in your town. I’ve got them hidden in various places, and some in plain sight. Each wall gives you 10 points for righteousness…by having those I don’t usually worry too much about graffiti 🙂

  4. Hrrrmmmmm….! The peanut cart is for VANITY rating?!
Since when are peanuts just for show? Is this an crafty homage to Schultz or some commentary on increased reports of anaphylaxis.

On a happier note, with the Level 38 update, I’m thinking the multiple Khlav Kalash stands may be an option due to less restrictions on placement.
    — Just keep away from the Moutain Dewwwwww!
    😉

  5. Wow, I need way more restaurants. Always bums me out when I can’t seem to move my stars up. Thanks for the guide and advice.

    • Coffee Karts for Squidport, one of the best things you can do if you need to add more. Only $850 and add 10 points each to your rating 🙂

      • 🙂 That will be great when I get my squidport launched. I’ve been putting it off. Its a toss up between the Gilded Truffle and Squidport right now. Think I’m going to go Squidport. I feel so behind, but I’ve just started playing recently so I’m not ashamed. I really appreciate the community and all the help that’s out there.

        • No shame in just making tiles first and progressing in levels. If I wasn’t so far ahead in the game when it dropped, I would have waited. To each their own though.
