Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Last week we asked you guys if you were planning on nuking your Springfield. This week we wanted to share those results with you, but also have a little fun with a new poll!
We’ll get to the results of the nuke poll shortly, but first let’s have a little fun. We all know Fox already has two mobile games based off of their Animation Domination, TSTO & TQFS. Here’s what the Addicts what to know…what OTHER shows from Animation Domination (current or over) would you most like to see a game based off of? If you don’t see your answer in the poll, feel free to mention it down in the comments below:
Make sure you let us know why you picked what you did in the comments below 🙂
Now let’s get to the results about nuking Springfield….
First, a big THANK YOU for all of you who took the time to participate in our nuclear option poll! Next, I’ve got to say I’m a bit surprised by the results!
Are You Taking Advantage of the Lull & Redesigning Your Springfield?35%- Heck No! My Springfield is perfect just the way it is!
32%- Yes, but I love my Springfield too much to nuke it. Just redesigning one section at a time
19%- Heck Yes! I’ve completely nuke’d it and I’m starting from scratch!
14%- Lull? What lull? I’m still trying to make it to Level 42!
From the looks of it it looks like the majority of you are either REALLY happy with your Springfield just how it is, or the thought of nuking the whole thing scares you (just a little bit). In any event 19% of you have nuke’d your town and are LOVING the redesign possibilities!
What show would YOU most like to see become a game? What are some features you’d like to see? What are your thoughts on the results of the nuking poll? Have you nuked your Springfield? Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

My pick was futurama. Then I would bobs burgers and then American Dad. I’m not much of a fan of American Dad, however I do like Roger and I think it would really funny if he showed up in Quahog and had a storyline with Stewie.
I’m tempted to push the nuke button on my Krustyland, but don’t want to nuke my Springfield — are the two connected? Can I nuke one without also nuking the other?
Yes, you can nuke K-land with out touching Springfield. Not connected 🙂
Futurama hands down, I love that show!!!! And I am redesigning certain areas, like getting rid of multiple houses, Krustyburgers. Need to make room if EA isn’t going to give us more land. Also wish EA would give us a dirt option to make a desert area for the Mount Calrmore and the Devils anvil.
I’m still holding off on the nuke option. Should have the Vulgari store finished tonight, but the questlines for the last few levels have been so long that I don’t think I’ve even finished level 35’s questline yet. (it’s getting hard to keep track).
I would love to see a Futurama game, even if it’s not TSTO style.
King of the Hill would be cool, too. I don’t watch a lot of the shows on Fox, so I can’t really say anything about Bob’s Burgers or American Dad.
A non-Fox animated show that I would absolutely love to see in a TSTO fashion is Phineas and Ferb. I can just imagine all the different buildings, characters, etc. Aspirational buildings would be like the world’s tallest skyscraper, and their fort (10-story addition hidden in the ground underneath a dinky little ode to the typical kid’s fort).
Another animated show worthy of a TSTO type game would be The Fairly Oddparents. Build your own Dimmsdale. I can almost see it now…
Okay, off to catch up on tapping for the night while I edit some videos for my media server.
Absolutely are addictively tapped out on your web site – well done guys – keep up the good work!!
Oh, and no King of the Hill option on the poll? 🙁
There were a million options. We tried to keep it to the animation domination shows and limited to a few. Too many choice become too difficult to pinpoint an overall thought. Make sense?
I’ve been wanting to rebuild, but with no way to have a ‘backup’ in case you screw up or change your mind, and the hours it would take to make things just right makes me chicken out every time I consider it.
Been wanting to doomsday my Krustyland too but have also been extremely hesitant, even though it’s much smaller and I don’t really care about it as much as my Springfield.
Doesn’t help that I haven’t had a lot of free time lately either.
Out of those 3, Futurama, hands down. I agree with the South Park wild. I’d like to offer another one if I may: Venture Bros. An absolutely epic show.
Must agree here that Futurama has the biggest potential for a new game, but imho it would be great to make some kind of expansion for TSTO (perhaps shuttle to some space station involving there Kodos & Kang as well). On the other hand, I would really like to play American Dad game, think it would be epic with humor.
I love Futurama, it has the best potential for a town-building game. And an easy story to start: Fry mistakes one of the professors doomsday devices for a new game, and accidentally nukes New New York.
At the same time, I’m sure when the Simpsons/ Futurama “Simpsorama” comes out, there will be some neat tie-in content, as will the Simpsons/ Family Guy cross-over.
Futurama, as much as I love it, strikes me as a tricky ip to create such a game for. Whereas The Simpsons/Family Guy/American Dad etc. are all based around a single city and very rarely leave it’s confines, Futurama frequently heads out of New New York and much of the exciting stuff appears on distant planets or even space stations. It would seem strange to me if that stuff began appearing in New New York and yet too segmented (and desolate) for their to be a separate area for each significant planet. Futurama is a pass purely because it doesn’t suit the type of game we expect from a TSTO clone.
Bob’s Burgers is better suited than Futurama but lacks both the prestige and the backlog of characters. It has a great supporting cast but there’s not enough to sustain the game over a long period of time. It needs a few more seasons under its belt before it starts thinking about branching out.
American Dad then is my choice. Langley Falls is a great setting with lots of hilarious locations and characters. Roger provides ample opportunity for costumes and the other characters are always getting in on the act. I think it’s a no-brainer between these three.
However, I’d also like to throw a bit of a wild card out there. It’s not a Fox series but I remain convinced that South Park would make for a pretty great TSTO style game. I don’t know that Matt or Trey would ever be interested in such a game (it’s probably a bit too money grubbing for their tastes) but the town of South Park has a huge back catalogue of characters, settings and scenarios to draw from. Personally, I think it outranks even American Dad in terms of ips that deserve a TSTO style game.
I highly doubt that anyone could have a better answer than yours. I could also see Matt Stone and Trey Parker not being too crazy about the idea, even though it would be successful (hell, even Kim Kardashian’s new game is a hit, and she’s a boring idiot!). That was very well said and I totally agree with you. 🙂
I picked Futurama, Bob’s burgers is a funny show but to new to deserve a game, American Dad is ok but I think they can incorporate them & the Cleavland show into Family Guy like thy did with the Star Wars episodes.
Now the one that would really work great would be a South Park version of TSTO!!! Also a Star Wars version would be cool
I agree that Futurama has the best potential for a game, but geez-o, two Springfields and a Quahog takes up sooooo much time already, lol- I’d never see daylight.
Since we seem to have some downtime, I think it’s finally time to nuke Krustyland (I dread the thought of re-doing a whole Springfield)
It is a lil daunting..but oh so refreshing to start a new and create…or is that just me? Lol 😉
Of the options, I’d take Futurama, since it’d be the most “different” – while I like American Dad, the art style and everything would be too similar to TQfS to warrant it being the next inclusion, in my opinion.
I do not like Bob’s Burgers at all, so it not having a game doesn’t bother me in the least.
My top pick, which I highly doubt would ever happen, would be for King of the Hill. Easily, in my opinion, the best Fox animated show ever, overall. It never had a seasons-long slump like The Simpsons did through the early-mid ’00s.
I nuked mine last week at around level 13 or so. Early on I placed what i could where it would go and wanted a more logical set-up than what i had. I bought too much land early on and had plenty of space so i planned for future buildings within districts and know what land to expand to as i need the space. basically i am a total geek with too much time on my hands. i planned everything out on paper (that’s all i am willing to admit to right now) and hopefully will be ok until i reach the last levels and may need to rethink things then. it did take most of a day and about $40k to place it all and add trees, bushes, benches and such as i wanted.
i had 1 burning bush i found in one of the land expansions and after nuking, i had 3 of them in my inventory so even got a bonus for doing it.
I’ve seen a lot of both Springfield’s, some designed and some clumped. Mine is clumped lol. I had to decide to spend game cash on land expansions or new buildings as I progressed. I chose to get to lvl 43 ( just yesterday finally) and now I’m saving for more land. Once once I can afford a good amount I’ll prob nuke the clump and start designing. This is also a great opportunity to send characters to KL and earn some real tickets. While I was leveling up I only collected what was there from KL. So big things coming for me!
There should have been an option that we’ll nuke it later. I’m not nuking until I buy out all the land and that could take a while! I’ve only been playing since December. Once I do buy all the land though I’m nuking it! How many plots are there? I think I’ve just finished a row and made it 11 by 12.
A map of all available land, and it’s costs, can be found here 🙂

Bob’s Burgers all the way!!!!
With the right writers, any of their shows would make good games, but I don’t even have time for the Family Guy game, so I’ll stick with TSTO. Heck, I don’t even have time to use the nuke option on my Springfield.
I want to nuke my Springfield at times but I can’t bring myself to do it lol I did nuke my Krustyland though!
As for other shows having games, I’d love a Bob’s Burgers game & a Futurama game. I enjoy American Dad, but I feel like it’d be similar to the Family Guy game. I could be wrong.
With the Futurama crossover next season I wouldn’t be too surprised if Bender didn’t become an episode tie-in character, if nothing else. 🙂
Think you should have added a ‘I don’t need another mobile game’ to your poll. TSTO is all I need 🙂
I wish there was an option to nuke sections of my town. I will nuke Krustyland though once I get my hands on the Tooth Chipper. I can’t wait to completely redesign it.
lol…well i more wanted to see what thoughts were IF there was another game.
Be sure to take before and after photos and share with us! 🙂
Futurama for me, it’s the only one of the three options that I’ve actually watched.
As for nuking my Springfield, I did it about a month ago and happy with how it is now. Took me about 3 days to re-design though.
That might be some people’s hesitation about pushing the button…the time it takes to rebuild. Thanks for sharing your nuke experience! 🙂
I love American dad. Roger is the best. I’d really like to see a king of the hill game. Loved that show. Hank Hill can have happy hank (I tell ya what) and angry hank (bwaaaaaa).
I didn’t vote because I don’t want a new game Tapped Out already takes up too much of my time. I downloaded Family Guy but uninstalled it as it was during the Easter event and just couldn’t do both.
Well that makes complete sense 🙂
Futurama is the only option here. Neither Bob’s Burger’s nor American Dad have the character or storyline depth to make a good, long game. A Futurama game could totally rival TSTO in terms of enjoyability.
Ha! Totally false. Could you imagine Roger’s Ricky Spanish skin or a premium Stelio Contos? These days AD is better than FG.
Would LOVE a Futurama game !!
KISS MY SHINY METAL A@@ !!!!
Woooooooooooo Bender !!
I just couldn’t nuke mine. I had a few areas that I really liked. So I have been spending most of my time reworking things around to get the feel I prefer. I am not surprised about the poll. I think I had only two of my neighbors used that function. But I know that several of them should. Its hard to go to some of my neighbors towns and everything is all just clumped together with no direction or planning. I guess I just like things to have some order to it. i guess I feel the whole purpose of this game is to have fun and building a town. I am just a total addict for sure.
I know what you mean about the just dumping with no order. Building your own Springfield is the BEST part of this game 🙂
Some of my neighbors:
They have every premium item they can buy, but have minimal land with everything jammed together.
Why do they play?
Prob a “feeder” town. Some people have alt towns to help themselves on events. So like if they need items tapped, they dont have to rely on others. Just do it themselves.
But why would they buy every premium item?
Some folks are just weird. There could be many reasons. My best advice is just to make sure your neighbors have towns that make you happy.
I’m surprised more people didnt nuke their Springfield. I nuked krustyland after level 43 came out, it had been a while since I had redesigned. Actually before level 43 it had been a while since I went in krustyland. Still waiting to nuke Springfield, but hopefully late auagust- early September will create a nice lull.
I was pretty surprised too. I figured more people would have “pushed the red button”…but I like that many players were happy with their town just the way it is. I’m in that boat myself. 🙂
Futurama must have the best potential for interesting buildings and animations. It’s a no-brainer for me.
