Just popping in to quickly let you know the Grem-Alien glitch has been fixed! You’ll now properly earn probes for leaving Grem-Aliens in your neighbors towns!
So what are you waiting for?! Go out and send those Grem-Aliens to invade your neighbors towns and bring you back Probes! Remember…you’ll earn 2 probes each if your neighbor squishes them before 4hrs, if they last the full 4 hrs you’ll earn 4 Probes (and your neighbor will earn none)! So get to squishing!

Hi all once again. I did try the move menu for the water and it worked..thank you. Still such a bizzare thing…it was like someone had gone to water menu and put it everywhere…some places i had to go to the same spot numerous times to get all the water…was a long water but like made in different steps. I even had bridges on streets without any water near them..had to remove the pavement and then replace it to get rid of the bridge. One spot i cant get rid of though is on the beach..was under a palm tree…cant get it to go even when i moved the tree..just wont highlite to allow me to delete. Wish there was a way to remove things witbout cycling thru everything around them..very tedious!. Thank you so much for the suggestion. Have a tappy day!

Hi all. Ive got a odd thing going on in my town,havent seen it mentioned anywhere. I have “puddles” of water all over town that i didnt put there. Look like i put a water in random spots but i didnt. Its even under trees. It started a few days ago and i tried the uninstall and reinstall but didnt fix it. Any idea what could be causing this? BTW you guys are doing a great job..dont know that i would have figured out many, many things without your help. Appreciate it “hugh-a-mongously”!
hmmm try going to the move menu and tapping on them. See if that allows you to delete them.

Homer should start part 3….does he have any other tasks in your task bar that might be holding it up?
No tasks for Homer although Bart has a random sleepover task that I have been holding up on due to TOT

Hey Tim….we just uninstalled the game on my iPad and then completely reinstalled it, and it is now counting the probes in two of my towns….not all….but at least it is working in two towns….also my daughter has a galaxy phone and she said she had to go into the game cache?? And clear it out of unnecessary stuff before her game would tally the probes from other towns..so not knowing what you have, I thought. I’d let you know both of these things….and now I will work out what to do in my main town to get them adding in there!

Its been pretty glitchy for me since the update crashing out randomly and now im not recieving any probes when I visit my friends and complete the 3 squishing actions I get the xp fp and money but not the probes anymore I dont know why anyone else had this and how do I report it?

How the hell did you people get anything from EA?? I just contacted them as the grem alien drama is still NOT fixed for me and I got offered a paltry 8 donuts to replace the $100 worth I bought at the start of the event, then they told me to watch their forums and report any problems there from now on?????. WHOOPIE BLOODY DOOOOO!!!!
I know I should be thankful for 8 wee donuts, but I wanted the problem fixed!! Not get told, we’re very sorry to inform you that you have a known problem! Bahhhhhhh humbug!! Crotchety more than ever now,! Oh and those 8 donuts were for only ONE of the three towns I have lost out on! So cranky I’d kicked the wall if it didn’t bite me back!! NOT cheerful, Julie.
Did you spend $100 on Grem-Alien eggs? They’re not going to refund you everything for an issue like this. The problem should be fixed now however. I haven’t seen any reports, aside from this one, of it not working.
Hey Alissa…no I spent the money on donuts to buy eggs for each neighbour in all three of my towns…well my two and my son’s town..I didn’t expect them to refund for any of that, and definitely not all of it, but they said the problem has NOT been fixed for everyone and that they would give me 8 donuts which haven’t been given 24 hours later!..I wanted a proper answer about them fixing the problem not get fobbed off with a lousy 8 donuts and get told to watch their forums! I just feel like I was given a bandaid that has lost its stickiness! Appears to be doing its job but more work than it is worth. I’m not worried about trying to get the points now cos I can’t see how it is that they can fix a glitch for some, but not all. That doesn’t equate for me. Obviously it is a problem they can’t sort out, or it would be fixed for everyone. As to no one else having the problem now??….well I am not getting half the amount of grem eggs I had been and I return to each neighbour what they give, with the exception of two really generous neighbours whom I simply cannot afford to match. I would hazard a guess and say that a lot more people are withholding their eggs now waiting for it to be sorted properly. The gloss has lost a little sheen for me….still glossy, but a tad dusty! I will keep atap tap tapping away tho!

I’m still having issues, not releasing now because they’re not all getting counted. I once again released and nothing Saturday daytime. I’m frustrated and my game has crashed so much since this new Halloween update.
All we can suggest is to let EA know.

Man, I need 1300 more probes to get donut torture machine in less than 2 days. Any tips out there? I see people with 10,000 probes. Im like how do you do that?!
Log in 3 times a day and squish everything you see…it’s completely doable 🙂
My game crashed about 1minute after signing in. It said my account had been logged in to another device. I had gotten 2 treat bags from aliens, one that contained spooky walls. When I logged back in the items were gone. I’m just bummed because I know the walls are rare in the treat bags. Do you think I could get them back from ea?
All you can do is ask them. 😉
As for the error message. It is standard. I get it all the time. Just means you left the game too fast and it didn’t sync up. Thinks you are still in there. Just play anyway and continue on to your game.
Anyone encountering game crashing when visiting towns after crushing aliens? It keeps crashing for me when I select next town over?
It could be that neighbors town is too full and kicking you and then out constantly. Or you could be close to maximizing your memory for the game and causing a lag. Also signal issues.
I have a friend who’s playing on a galaxy 4 and has not seen a spaceship for 4 days. He is a pretty frequent player and has 14 rounds of ammo but nothing to shoot. Any suggestions?
Try uninstall and reinstall the game. If not, Contact EA. I play on GS4 and so does Alissa. No problems with ours.
I released 7 eggs and 10 minutes later I had 6 probes and never recieved anymore. Released just before bedtime and thought I’d wake to find I’d received more but nothing…..what’s going on? I’m not releasing anymore now and I’m at 7000 probes and I’m ticked at all the probes I’m out. Not ticked at you guys….😊
It depends on your neighbor and when they tap or let them run out. Some are right away. Some take time. If they are still not counting. Let EA know.
I’m close to getting the DTD but don’t want to spend donuts if I don’t make it. Any idea what happens to the 7000 probes I’ve accumulated? I’ve seen a mini Krusty in neighbors towns. When he is tapped, hearts come out. Where did he come from? Thank you

I haven’t been able to connect to the servers in 3 days now. I keep getting the Bart screen. I’ve even reinstalled and nothing works.
Check your connection…it’s not widespread so it could be your wifi or 4G
Since the next stage of the game involves collecting what look like Rayguns, will probes even matter in two days?
After the 20th…no Probes won’t matter.
I finally got to chat with a guy at EA yesterday, he suggested deleting and reinstalling the app. At that point, I had to leave so I dropped a few eggs and wrote down my number of probes. Four hours later, when I checked back into the game, the update launched, 52 probes were added to my total, but I didn’t have definitive proof that the deleting had anything to do with it (I strongly suspected the update was the fix). Thanks for the info. Now back to planting Grem-aliens!
I had about 20+ probes that I was missing – contacted EA…they knew I had dealt with missing items at the end of CoC…got my probes AND gave me 30 donuts. Riding on a cloud today…ha!

I’m glad they gave you probes, the guy I talked to a few days ago said they couldn’t do that but they were working on a fix for the glitch. Earlier in the Halloween update I lost 8 doughnuts so they returned those plus eight more. Even though I didn’t get probes I was happy with my EA customer service, much better than most companies, friendly, helpful, and easy to understand.
I just got the donut torture device yesterday, so I think I’m going to wait to release my stash of eggs until next week. Unless I hit a max number.
I’m glad it’s fixed! That said, I have more than 9500 probes now so I’ll hold on to those eggs (along with my ammo and candy bags) for 2 more days. Excited for the next phase~
I think I’m at the point of reinstalling now, Homer is missing (2 days now, EA contacted), I have two Data’s, which is actually a good thing as I get x2 the bags, but other character’s are in task loop hell, poor Marge has been doing her magic show now for 3 days. I click on one of the kids to end their trick-or-treat tasks, I get prizes, then select them to redo the trick-or-treat task and then if I check on them later, they always say they have nearly 8 hours left in the task, but they do end their task on original schedule, and so on and so on…. Crossing finger that I don’t lose my horde of donuts (313)
Yikes! EA is the best way on this one. did you try doing a phone call? More than likely they’ll have to roll your town back…
I did talk to EA about Homer 2 days ago and they elevated the issue to the next level IT guys. I searched the EA boards and for any other characters besides Lisa and Homer, you just need to store the building and place it back into town to restore lost characters.
I just tried to re install the game but no joy. I’m most concerned about losing the donuts… I guess I brought it about myself, I mentioned to my son the other day that, “you know, we haven’t seen any rear glitches yet”

Pity it took so long and doesn’t appear to be a retroactive fix that awards the missing probes but since I finished the prize tracker anyway guess it’s good it was at least fixed before next phase.

I’m very happy it got fixed as I was one of the many affected, but I have yet to see a reimbursement for the probes I missed. One of my hauls was 60+ (a combined total muuuuuch more than that =P), so I’m pretty bummed. It’s not much to gripe about though since I’ll have the Donut Torture Device tomorrow anyway. Still… it’d be nice if EA kept their word.
Just wondering if your awesomeness’ can report if this is also fixing the untappable runner Grem-aliens and the drooling frozen ones? Just checking in here before turning in, swear it still happened to me after update but not 100%, could just be I’ve gotten so used to it I thought it was the same old. Thanks guys!

Personally I haven’t had a single untappable grem-alien since this update…anyone else?
I’ve had a few, either i can’t tap then or they just stop still and won’t ‘pop’. It’s only been the odd few though, maybe 1 a day.
I’m with Alissa, no more frozen or untappable gremaliens since the update. Also I have to add, Homer’s dialogue re: Alex’s or rather Moog’s cod piece was hilarious. Can’t wait to see Moe in full ultraviolence gear!

First, I’m very thankful they finally fixed this bug. I already had my DTD, but it’ll be nice to use the eggs I’ve saved for the next phase.
Jordy, Yes. You can get compensated. Google EA Help, go there, log in, and open a support ticket. I chose the option for them to call me. I *JUST* got off the phone with them. I estimated how many probes I’d lost to the bug (200). Not only did they add that to my account, they refunded the donuts I spent on eggs (and small handful more for my trouble)!

Oh good – I also had the glitch, but it appeared to sometimes resolve itself so I kept sending them out anyway. I will continue to do so until I get the donut device, which will hopefully happen before the 20th (it probably will).

No. You can try contacting EA, but I’m not sure if they’ll do anything at this point. (unless you spent donuts on eggs)
Thanks. I did an initial test and that was my result as well, that it was fixed. I wanted to do further tests. Since you’re confirming it as well, I guess I won’t need to do those further tests.

I just wish they would fix my constant CRASHING issue. Happening in both games on iPad Air and iPad rMini. Doesn’t matter if I’m in my town or visiting neighbors … Crash crash crash! Getting h or risky discouraged and don’t know how to fix it.
I have an iPad 4 and my game is also constantly crashing, which has never happened until this halloween update, iOS issue? However, I keep going back for more, no crash can stop is girl…now today the gremaliens glitch is fixed and we’re getting an Alex skin for Moe. Loving it! Off to drop gremaliens in my neighbor towns!
My iPad also became extremely crashy during CoC. I turned the iPad off completely, and after I started up again it worked perfectly. It probably just needed to clear its caches and generally clean up its act. 😉
Thank you so much! I rebooted and I am now crash free. It’s funny … Years of computer use trained me to reboot when anything went wonky. I still can’t equate my iPad with a computer.
It’s crashing and hanging a lot on my Nexus 7 too, I’m quite new to the game so don’t know if this is normal or just a recent thing, or maybe just my tablet. It is frustrating though.
