I think EA’s timing with the release of new friendship prizes is perfect! It’s never been easier to be a freemium player. With this event in full swing, I’m earning FP for actions I’m completing anyway and at the rate my neighbors are visiting I’ll have the first prize by the end of today. The second prize should be reachable in 5 to 6 days. I can’t even be mad at the donuts I’m not earning there with all the pie collecting going on. I’ve already earned 12 donuts in the last few days. Shooting for 3 more before issue 3 drops. If they would have waited till after the event it may not have been this easy so good looking out EA. 😉
Anyone know why the bookmobile has a tree as part of its “package”? I’m finding that it’s making it much harder for me to figure out how/where to place it.
I believe it has to do with the episode it came from. It is odd though that they added that element as a permanent fixture on it.
The tree hides the word “burning”.
I kinda like it, like the “DIE-T” sign… I figured it would be perfect near the playground of my “education” area 😉

It’s not clear to me if this glitch is related to the new level update or the superhero event and it’s pretty minor but I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this. While tapping away at criminals that escaped from a clown/funky 70s planet, I accidentally tapped Bart’s castle from the Clash event. To my surprise it said Goblin Bart was only level 1. I honestly have no clue what it used to be but with Homer at 98 I know Bart was higher than level 1. As I said, the glitch is minor and I’m not sure I care at all but I am curious if it’s just me.
Have you stored it recently? When you store it it resets the level
Nope. I don’t think I’ve ever stored it but maybe once awhile ago and I’ve forgotten. Doesn’t that still seem like a glitch? They advertised advertiser that we should keep going because level status would be visible to friends after the event. Why would it reset when you temporarily store it? I wonder if that’s what happened to mine.

Mine comes and goes. Regardless what YOU see when you tap it, what do your neighbors see when they do? Have you tried? I ask as it may something only on your side that is impacted and your neighbor may still see that higher level.
Yes, it’s happened to at least a couple of us here…for me it was Bart also, but for the other person I know of, it was Witch Marge.
That’d be me (cheers for the anon Sandra ;)… noticed it a while ago, and storing for me didn’t help…
With our “Golden Age” of level 50, I do appreciate the similar year / style of our Heroes and Villains (the 1950’s/60’s being the formative years of early Marvel / DC 🙂
More Felons are needed, but doing the math a minimum 4 hour tap should ensure our latest highrise (still dark at EA over the whole “Claus-Co-Gate” 😉 is populated in my new lil’ future-ville.
The catch to all of this is the F.li.P.pin’ points, now we have 8000 ASP to achieve 🙁

My “harp freeze” at login problem has been solved…somehow.
I tried logging in, this time it worked. All back to normal.
No reply from ea (after I left a message) yet, but either it was a random fix overall for everyone with the issue, or they saw my message and fixed it(I left my login details) but didn’t let me know,…but thats okay, Im in now and catching up on some pie bombs!

I’ve cycled thru Level 49 three times , so a new Level 50 is a great surprise. Thank you EA for the Freemium Municipal House of Pancakes + Helen Lovejoy (aka the Gossip Queen) + Book Burning Mobile (parked mine next to House of Pancakes) 🙂
I won’t buy donuts for Premium content (if you got the $? I’m sure you will appreciate the latest items available), but I will take my time on getting Friendship Level 14 items (It Blows Building + Canyonero Car) as I want to concentrate on our Current Super Heroes / Villians Quest ! 😉
Canyonero! Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts, Canyonero, Canyonero! We still sing that whenever we see a behemoth of that ilk.
I was hoping to get more donut drops from neighbours. The new friend point items will set me back at least 2 weeks. Nevertheless, new content to be gotten is not to be scorned at, especially as there are so few vehicles that a freemium player can obtain.
I’m still getting stuck/frozen game on login screen, then harp/chime sounds over and over forever until either the game crashes or I close it.

I tried logging in on a friends iphone and then moms ipad…same issue with my account there.
I left a message with ea, no reply yet but it was recent..
I did level up to lvl. 50, and got the pancake house starting to be built, aswell as spent donuts on jessica lovejoy(long story but basically I love houses for my residential area), closed the game for a bit,,,,then when tried to get back on after that — this ‘harp freeze’ issue began.
Just had to say what I purchased, incase anyone else has the same/similar issue…could it be something due to buying the lovejoy’s house? I dont know.. hopefully it’s fixed soon! worst timing, during an event… 🙁
It actually is just a random and rare anomaly that happened in great numbers in 2012/2013. Only seeing it just recently pop up and you are the 2nd person I have seen report it in 4 months. At this point… waiting on EA is the only option. My suggestion is to initiate a callback from them if you can.

Waiting on Helen’s building to be built…does she have any interaction with Luann? I am a freemium player, don’t have the cracker factory, and am considering getting it, though it would take up the rest of the donuts I have now. More likely to do it if there are some additional quests with Helen if Luann is present, given the whole “investorettes” thing…(great episode)
Yup, there’s a whole new investorettes questline. So if you have Luann she’ll get involved 🙂

Love the new friendship prizes, but I admit I miss the $40,000+ I made visiting friends while maxed out on FP!!
Interesting to launch an new level of Friendship Prizes at a time when we already visit each other as often as we can.
New Friendship Prizes means they don’t have to give out as many free donuts with everyone visiting each other as often as we can.
Jessica was one of my favourite Bart love interests and it would be nice to get her but I know she won’t give much pleasure after her quest is done. I think I’ll be saving my sprinklies for voiced characters.
It’s a personal thing but I get much more enjoyment if the wee folk make some kind of noise when i tap them.
The house looks good but at 180 donuts it’s about 40 too many to be really tempting.
Gotta laugh at the Canyonero. The cars are already disproportionately big compared to houses, the Canyonero’s gonna be ginormous! It’ll be the only ‘proper’ sized car in the game 😀
As a freemium player and strictly speaking about the content that came from lvl 50, it seems a bit underwhelming to me. Or maybe I was expecting too much and lvl50 is just another level and not actually a milestone level.
They’ve got to bring Maggie in as a character in her own right at some point (probably with monobrow as a premium). I wonder when they think it’ll be a good time to do that. If you’re talking milestone levels, unless they’re waiting for level 100 (how far away is that going to be?), level 50 seemed a good time. They’ve got to keep something back, I suppose, I just wonder what their long-term plans for the game are. It’s a safe bet we’re going to see some very peripheral characters brought in on the next few levels.
You would have thought 50 was a good time, but I guess not. As for when 100 is coming.. It might take several more years to get to that point as evidenced by the first 50.. But I personally don’t mind the speed at which we get new levels. I think its just right. I actually don’t see us getting Maggie tbh.
*sigh while I’m happy to see the Lovejoy’s, I too was really hoping to see Maggie as a playable character for level 50. And just where is Troy McClure?!? We can have such minor characters as the real creator of Itchy and Scratchy, Janey etc., but still no Troy. Where/when is Troy???
SBGIBBS – I suspect we don’t have Troy McClure because Phil Hartman is dead, although I think it would be nice to have his legacy live on by having him in our game.

It does work…could have just been an issue with your game. Try contacting EA and see if they’ll give you the donuts you should have gotten. 🙂

Was SO excited when I logged in at lunch today and saw that with the completed build of a Purple House I had finally earned five stars for Indolence, which has been stubbornly hovering at 4.5 for, it seems, ever. And that last rating actually gave me a five star town, woohoo! Happy dance and carry on!
Then I logged in this evening and DRAT! New level, and now my Gluttony rating has dropped from a long-standing 5 stars to 4.5, so I’m back to a 4.5 star town. *sigh* Just when I was starting to feel good about myself and all my time spent…
Buy a few klav kalash stand and hide them behind buildings. They’re the cheapest and quickest way to increase gluttony.
Got level 50, took a break and now I can’t log in – the game freezes loading on the login screen and makes “chime” or “harp” sounds. I read online this was a major bug back during 2013 level 26 or so…weird that it’s hit me now… so far no luck logging in…will wait a day or two before true panic sets in. For now I just contacted EA on their forum….
wondering if anyone else has this issue. Hopefully not, as worst timing during the event! luckily I got dr collosus already at least.
Grab a buddy or friend and use their device to see if they can log in to your game (usually opposite brand of your device)
Once in…have them clear all houses. Then go to Krustyland and clear stuf . Then neighbors And clear stuff. Then back to Springfield and log out. Meanwhile uninstall and Reinstall app on your device. When they’re done…try to log back in. Let us know how it goes.

What device do you use? If it is iOS… try on an Android.
Got the level 50 splash screen, but Milhouse was wrapping up a task so I just let that play out. Now Milhouse is free…. and…. nothing. I’ve exited and restarted. I’ve logged out and logged in. I’ve stored the Van Houten house and placed it again. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. Right now, all of my peeps are on tasks except for Milhouse, who is just wandering around aimlessly.
Any suggestions as to how to kick-start the Level 50 questline?
(Note: I had the same issue with Level 49 and Agnes – the “Baking Bread Pt. 1” questline still hasn’t started even though that update was weeks ago – so no Abandoned Warehouse, no D’Amico Summer Home, nothing)
Where is your Level 49 Walkthrough at? XP can hit Level 50 BEFORE you Game Play actually does.
I think I figured it out. I never completed the Level 48 questline because I was waiting for Gold Navy’s price to drop to below a half million Cronkites. Seems to make sense that with 48 unfinished, neither 49 nor 50 would kick-off, eh?

I think it’s sneaky how they add in the extra level during an event, almost to keep us from getting those extra donuts for friend visit. I would prefer the new levels between events to keep things moving along. Of course, there’s no rule that I have to start the new level’s questline during the event, but I’m an addict, after all. 😉
It has quite become routine for EA to drop a new level in the middle of a long running event. I kinda even expected it for yesterday or today… and still sent everyone off on 24h jobs 🙁
I’ve noticed it, too. I still think they’re tricksy for doing it. Tricksy programerers. (Hmmm… That’s not as nice as Hobittses)
Tapping homer is not causing the statue to unlock. I tried your hint from 2013 several times and that didn’t work. I tried putting the hero mask on that didn’t work. I tried having Jessica free while and tapping on homer and that didn’t work. Any other hints/suggestions?
Have Homer play on his mypad. Tap him once bringing up the countdown screen. Once that’s up tap Homer 10 times. You’ve got to tap him quickly. You can take long pauses in-between taps. That’s the only way to do it. If it’s still not working beyond that, contact EA.

Let me ask you this… are you zoomed in as close as you can get? When you first tap him and the screen pops up to “speed up” the task, do you close it each time or leave it open? (You are supposed to leave it open and ignore it). Don’t pause during each tap, just keep tapping like really quickly over n over n over n over on Homer as soon as he starts his My Pad task and that pop up appears to speed it up.

I’ll start with a good note- FINNNAAALLLY OMG WOOO.
Now, carrying on. I was kinda confused how they tied Helen in. It felt like an after thought and more like “How can we make it tied in with superheroes and Helen at the same time? I know lets do investments!” The way the first dialogue was going I was expecting Flanders of Rev. to pop up and be like “Sexualization of women? Oh dear God, won’t somebody please think of the children!” And then we’d be instructed to build to get her. Then I thought she would rally with the women of Springfield and it’d become some feminsism movent that women can be strong without being oversexualized etc etc. It’d be so fun seeing all the different women of Springfield walking around with picket signs all at once!
Also yayyy for more FP Prizes!!!!!
I am always happy about new content but I was crossing my fingers level 50 would bring Maggie. 🙁

I had a suspicion that Friend Prizes were coming back a while ago, when I started getting the “Social Butterfly” messages, even though I long ago had maxed out on FPs. I’ll miss the free donuts for now (although they’d been a bit stingy of late), but I’m always happy to get another building and have really been wanting another kind of car (besides the orange ones) to put in some driveways!
Same, was a bit shattered regarding the donuts, I had similar suspicions about the friendship points but I based it on the large amount of premium content available, they have done this before but probably not as bad as this, freezing free donuts when there are much sought after premium items available. And I’m glad it wasn’t just me noticing the sprinkly stingyness!
I may get enough for the Bartman, but Spider pig is a pipe dream…
