Terwilliger Prize Guide: Act 2, Prize 1…Rakes

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s Harvest Time in Springfield and the Terwilliger’s have returned to Springfield to unleash Mutant Vegetables on us! In the Second Act of the Terwilliger Event you’ll unlock Dr. Terwilliger, find Sideshow Bob & try not to go crazy collecting all sorts of stuff to craft prizes in Springfield!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the second Act you’re tasked with collecting Gas Masks! The first Act 2 prize awarded at 1,050 are 3 rakes, decorations for your Springfield…and so much more!

So let’s take a closer look at these rakes and just what happens when you unlock them in your Springfield.

The Terwilligers are making their way back into Springfield! And with Act 2 arrives Sideshow Bob’s vengeful Italian Wife! And if there’s anything you don’t wanna do is tick off Italian Female…especially when it comes to her family. Believe me…I know. 😉 ANYWAY…now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Frink’s Herbicide Squirter Upgrades

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Act 2 is upon us and it introduces a whole new swarm of Mutants to attack…Sideshow Bob Clones! (they do make an excellent soup stock!)

And it wouldn’t be a TSTO Event unless Professor Frink came up with some kind of invention to save the day…and he hasn’t let us down this time! Frink Co presents….the Herbicide Squirter!

The Herbicide Squirter is a FREE item you’ll unlock once you’ve completed The Soup Thickens Pt. 4 and started The Science of Cooking (questline walkthrough is here) that will help you clear Clone Bobs quicker! And each time you upgrade the Squirter you’ll increase your tap radius (how many Bob’s you can get in 1 tap) and some increase the payouts of crafting materials (Fertilizer, DNA and Corn) for each one you tap.

So let’s take a closer look at this squirter and what happens when you upgrade….

Showoff Reminder: Down on the Farm

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

This weekend we’ll be doing another edition of Springfield Showoff! Where we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!

With all the additional farm items that the Terwilliger Event has brought us (Willie’s Tractor, Old Simpson’s Farm House) I thought now would be a great time to show us your farms! We’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs, on Saturday (5/2). So show us what you’ve done with your TSTO Farms!

So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure it is there by about 8pm EDT Friday (5/1). Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.

Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

Terwilliger’s Guide to Leveling Up Monsarno Research: Act Two

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Cecil Terwilliger has returned to Springfield to make amends…not almonds, despite what Homer thinks. And in an effort to save himself from being ridden out of Springfield on the back of a horse he’s convinced the town to let him build a Monsarno Research Campus right in Springfield! This way the residents of Springfield can benefit from all the advantages of GMO veggies!

So, now that you have the back story let’s talk about Monsarno Research. Monsarno is basically the key to the entire event. Once you build it you’ll unlock the event in Springfield, including the ability to craft items. To craft items you’ll need Corn and Fertilizer. One way you’ll get more Corn and Fertilizer is by sending characters on various tasks for these items. And the way to unlock these character tasks? Leveling up your Monsarno Research Center! Whew! I feel like that took a really long time to get to that point…

Now that Act 2 has arrived it’s opened up a TON of Leveling up options for Monsarno…an infinite number in fact! So we gave you a quick breakdown of what each level does in the Act 2 Rundown Post. But I know you guys are all about the ~~bass~~ details…so it’s time to get more specific (before the angry mob shows up at my door for not posting this any sooner!). So let’s take a closer look at what it takes and what happens when you Level Up Monsarno during Act 2…
