Terwilliger Event Calendar Act One

Hey there Hoppereenos!

The Terwilliger’s have taken over our towns and our game along with the Company Sideshow Bob helped out to make some questionable GMO products. Monsarno. Now we have all sorts of New Items to earn for in the game. How on earth will we keep up? A Calendar of course! (Except for Sandra, she can’t have one… not til next week… so close your eyes Sandra and walk away…  😛monsarnofounderstatue

As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER Act One releases so you can factor in time you will need to send Characters on tasks, get Buildings, and fully launch the Event. I will also be stopping it the night BEFORE the event ends, as the new one starts REALLY early in the AM for the USA.

Here we go…

Now before you see this Calendar and PANIC!!! Don’t! Remember, the more you progress… the more things Unlock. The more things Unlock… the more Spades and other items you will earn. You will keep getting more and more and more. This is just an overall look. So if you are not in sync with the Calendar right away, don’t worry. It is the end result that is where you want to focus. 😉 Terwilliger Spade Calendar Act One

Now you have a basic daily breakdown for 13 days based off of approximately 1235 Spades a day.

DIGGING DEEP BONUS

Don’t stop collecting Spades once you hit 16050, because you WILL have that extra chance at the 3 Donut Mystery Boxes. Word of caution on this one, if you are NOT in your town when you hit the bonus, any additional Spades collected may not count towards the 3000 (they will your main total). So be careful. If you are close, you may want to go back to your Springfield just before you hit it. This is due to once it triggers the final prize, it will take a few minutes to go through all the pop ups for it. This causes the Bonus Round Pop Up to delay as you tap through them. That means any additional beyond the 16050 earned when you hit it will NOT count to the Digging Deep until you see the Pop Up. For instance if you earn 16150, the extra 100 will go to your total, but nothing will add to the Bonus until THIS pops up. So the counts may be slightly off. Digging Deep Bonus

For every Additional 3000 Spades you collect, you will get the chance at tapping on one of 3 Mystery Boxes with 1, 2, or 3 Donuts inside. Digging Deep Super Bonus 3 Donut Boxes

If you miss your chance the first time or even second, you can retry for $150,000. So make sure you have some cash set aside if you want to buy your donuts. (I intentionally did NOT use my trick on this one so you can see how much it costs to try again. The 3 donuts were in the center box on this one without the trick.)Digging Deep Super Bonus 50 50 Chance

Digging Deep Super Bonus 3 Donuts Won

Now… the shortcut trick I use for these and the Level Up Bonus boxes you can try in your games. This is completely up to YOU to try it.  Just press and hold down on the box on the far right. Do not let go, keep pressing down. Watch the lights. They will cycle through around, back and forth, and flashing. Once they cycle all the way through one time, let go. (Usually as the lights are cycling to meet up at the top.) It is how I have usually avoided paying any extra cash for my 3 Donuts. My luck has been pretty good with it, but for many… it is still just another fun way to play. You may or may not get the 3. Use at your OWN risk. 😉

There you have the Act One Calendar for collecting Spades and the Prizes you can win with them.

What do you think of Act One so far? How is your Spade Collectiong going? How many do you have? Looking forward to a specific prize? Let us know.

  1. What you have to realise is that with these calandra you are getting a sort of worst case scenario in that in the last day you want to be hitting the final prize. From all my previous experience they have simply taken the final total needed for the final prize and divided this by 1-2 days less than the actual amount of days to give you an idea of where to be. It is 18/4/15 and I am over 5000 – I didn’t have any spades when the event landed on 14/4/15 and yet I was supposed to have 1250! I am ahead of schedule with mild effort. Use this as a guide only unless you start on 25/4/15 then you are probably fudged.

  2. Does anyone know anything about the pet mutant plant yet? Is he going to walk around my town, maybe have jobs or tasks to do? He’s adorable, lol. I was finding this whole upgrade confusing at first but now that I’m a couple days into it, it’s much better I feel, it’s moving along nicely. I’m still a little confused, but not half as much anymore.

  3. Have to admit, you three were correct, its remotely easy to play catch up in this event. I started out a day or so behind, according to the calendar, now I’m a day ahead of schedule.

  4. This event is going to make my hair fall out. I started one day late, was utterly confused so I just spent donuts to speed through the first days tasks, am now informed thanks to you Addicts- but I wish I hadn’t seen the calendar. Despite my diligence, I’ve fewer than 2000 spades and haven’t reached the 2nd prize, let alone the 6th! My neighbors are all over the place too, they range from zero spades (like my daughter who just finished the research center) to 6000+ spades. Just when I thought I was out (side planting real plants instead of 2D ones) EA pulls me back in!

    • Don’t let the calendar discourage you… It’s set up linearly, but, as you continue in the event, your earnings increase at a far more than linear rate. So, I’m willing to bet you’ll be caught up too where you need to be, calendar-wise, within a few days (and before this chapter of the event ends).

    • In the long run, the real plants you are planting probably have more value than a bunch of 1s and 0s 🙂

    • TY, I’m more on track now, IDK how much I’d be invested in the game without the community surrounding it. @etamni, I like your posts, I’d like to add you as Neighbor. Hopefully you have room. (You have no idea how many times I had to go back to recorrect auto-correct on this post)

  5. Don’t think I’ll be getting many prizes; I’m only on 500 spades 🙁

  6. Oops, never mind, I didn’t unlock it, I thought i did by mistake 🙂

  7. I just unlocked the Simpsons farm but can’t find it in my inventory to build it, can you please help?

  8. thanks for sharing bro

  9. I see an outfit for Krusty in the store and it’s free and there is an questline. He is named Opera Krusty.

  10. Great Event Calendar, Bunny (Tappers should take the time to review the Calendar in order to keep up with this Event) …

Old Simpsons Farm takes 24 hours to build 🙂

  11. I just updated it today and i cant tap on Cecil after his first task. Does it take a day to get going?

  12. I’m a long way behind my spade count – 1700 at the end of April 17th. I’m not sure how or why though as I’ve done all the tasks and things. Will I be able to catch up? Do you know if this will be like the superheroes where if you haven’t completed part one when part two starts, you have to finish that first?

  13. The craft items seem so expensive. Especially with upgrading the building. Should i focus on crafting or building upgrades?

  14. Is there a task associated with the Simpson farm? Almost got it and am just curious

  15. I’m on schedule. Currently at 5700 🙂

  16. I’m sure this was asked. Sorry in advance. I couldn’t access my origin account and started playing anonymously. After some time I did get access to origin and do not want the saved town. How am I supposed to save this anonymous iPad town to my origin account and definitely overwrite the older one? Usually in games there’s a pop up and shows you the difference and you choose which one you want. I don’t see anything like that whatsoever. Thank you

    • You’ll need to create a new origin id (with email) if you want to save your current (anonymous game) to Origin. Just go to the friend screen on that game, tap the handshake and you’ll see login with Origin. Just tap that and create a new account

  17. Hi first great job keeping us updated. You guys are awesome and I can’t imagine how you have lives with all the time you guys spend figuring out TSTO for us. I’m very confused. I have seen some things in a couple of my neighbors towns that I haven’t seen you guys post about and feel I have missed some big part of your post but I can’t find it anywhere. There is a character that looks like SSB but has grey hair and is in a blue dress; SSB has a skin that looks like Paliaci ( sad opera clown thingy) ; and an outdoor amphitheater. The other one already has the farmers market and some spotlight thing. I tap often (OK I’m probably bordering on OCD) and I just can’t figure out how the math will work for me to get the farmers market before the first round of prizes is over much less ALREADY have it. What am I doing wrong? Is anybody else worried about the numbers not working out? Its a fun update but maybe too much going on at once.

    • You’re not doing anything wrong. Those neighbors are most likely hacking the game (ie cheating). They’ve unlocked characters not even in the game yet, that’s a surefire way to see that they’re cheating.

Farmer’s market is another story. They could have used donuts to purchase it..

Don’t worry, you’re not doing anything wrong. Just play at your pace and don’t worry about what neighbors have unlocked yet. Especially if they’re cheating, it’ll just frustrate you.

  18. OK, something weird happened.

My iPad’s battery died. So a little later I started playing on my iPhone (yes, I’m addicted right?). Got the message saying I’m on another device and I need to save or lose my progress. I just clicked “continue” to lose my progress so far, thinking I can just catch up.

As soon as the game started up, it awarded me the Simpsons Farm.

But I already HAVE the Simpsons Farm. It’s still building, but I already had it. So now I have TWO?

    • Sometimes it glitches out, and awards a second prize. If you contact EA they should be able to remove one.

      • Thanks for the quick response!

I may just go ahead and keep the two of them (if the game lets me). I’m sure I can find the space. I am just concerned that it might cause problems if I have two of these things.

    • I had the luck of getting 2 Rad Mobiles during the Hero Event (:

    • This glitch (which can be replicated) has been reported to EA — I’m thinking they’ll fix it soon as the Simpson’s farm was definitely intended to be a unique item.

  19. In the event menu, it says (for both the craftable prizes AND the Spade prizes) that ‘New prizes will be added…’ Could this mean that the currently released prizes won’t go away, like during the superhero update, when you could still unlock stuff from previous phases? Thanks for the great coverage of this event guys, it’s exactly the quality I’ve come to expect from ‘Addicts!

  20. I don’t see any veggies anywhere. I am at building level 4 and there is nothing in my neighbours either? Help

    • Just because you’re at Level 4 does not mean the veggies start to spawn. You have more questline you need to complete in order for them to start spawning. Once you’ve upgraded HOMER needs to be free to trigger the next part, which is a task for Lisa. Then LISA needs to be free to free the veggies. Once she frees the veggies you’ll start to see them in your town. It’s all detailed in the walkthrough post…

      http://tstoaddicts.com/2015/04/14/turbo-tappin-terwilligers-act-one/

  21. I was kind of hoping this event would be a free donut bonanza, like the early stages in Superheroes – it doesn’t look like that’s going to be the case – man, I’m so greedy, lol!
I’m ahead of the game and will be fine, but I don’t expect to get more than 1 or 2 goes at the free sprinkles – 3000 spades won’t be super-easy to collect.

But… I have a plan, which I’ll test and if it works I’ll let you all know

    • It looks like my plan IS working. The first two days I was barely keeping up with the calendar, now at 14:00 on Saturday UK time I’m at 8250 trowels without spending any donuts. I’ve also upgraded the research place to level 7 as of about 14 hours ago.

The plan is simply to stagger sending people to collect crops. So, I have 5 gluttons that can do a 16hr task – so they go out 1 at a time every 3 hours. I have 11 seniors for a 2 hr task, they get sent 1 at a time every 10 minutes, etc for each of the 6 groups.

This helps complete lots of those random tasks which each give 100 trowels.
It’s quite time consuming and labour intensive but I’m hoping it’ll help me collect lots of free donuts – it’s looking like it might.

      • In 3 days since the last post I’ve earned another 9000 trowels which means I should now get 5 or 6 goes at free sprinkles. Nice! Much more along the lines of what I was hoping for.

  22. Did anybody else get two statues? I got one on my iPhone then logged in later on my iPad and they awarded me another!

  23. I’m a tad confused (usually my natural state) but I have a neighbor who has spades already, yet clicked on my buildings. I assumed the mutants I tap in my own town don’t affect my visiting neighbors’.

    • You unlock the spades when you build Monsarno, and you don’t unlock neighbor actions until you upgrade and do those quests. So those neighbors probably are in the process of upgrading, so they’re earning spades, they just haven’t unlocked the neighbor actions yet.

  24. Bunny, regarding your trick, when do you press down on the rightmost box (where are the lights), and how many light cycles (when they meet at the top) pass before you release to earn the 3 donuts?
Can I hold down on the box, let it cycle through a few times, then let go when the lights meet at the top, or do I have to release the very first time the lights meet at the top?
(I have been trying this trick without much luck).

    • I haven’t had a chance to play with it too much this event. Just once as the Event JUST was released and getting another 3000 is a lot of work and donuts.

In the past. I waited and watched the cycle. Started tapping it once the new cycle started (lights met and touched at top), let it cycle all through again until the lights were about to touch again… then let go.

  25. So many of my neighbours aren’t updated yet! I hope they update soon, I’ve got veggies to tap! I’ll give them to the weekend before I start going through and removing people, I think…

  26. I’ve noticed it before in other events but the same is happening here.
‘things’ don’t spawn while you’re visiting neighbours.

I just did my visits to upgraded towns, it took me about 40 minutes, I come back and 10 minutes later I see a mutant plant, click on it and up come the “Your town is clear” message.

Do you think the 4 or so that would have spawned during my visits are queued up somewhere or are they lost in the ether? I’m not too bothered, just curious – mainly because it confirms what I’ve suspected in past (and presumably therefore future) events and maybe it will affect my strategy (if you can call it that!)

    • You have to wait for the sync for the game to recognize you are back. Usually within a few minutes it catches up and more may have appeared without you knowing. Similar to at times the payouts from items your neighbors send you (in this Event the items you get for Seedlings) can be delayed as the info catches up to you.

  27. Well, it’s about time, Bunny!

    Hehehehehe 😉

  28. Could somebody please tell me at what point in the quest line you can start collecting event items by visiting towns? I still can’t do it. I’ve leveled up my Monsarno building once and I’m on Scientogaphy pt. 2. Any ideas? Thanks!

  29. Hey, would you be able to make a calendar of how much fertilizer/corn we need to earn in order to craft one of each prize and also upgrade to Level 7? Just an idea…

    • It’s possible. Trying to get out as many details as we can about math and other basics first….then we’ll see what we can do 🙂

  30. just got back away for awhile cant download the updates 🙁
