Turbo Tappin’ Krusty’s Last Grasp: Main Questline and Prizes

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The long teased Krusty event has finally hit our games!  I feel like a clown college, clown-like, teaser came out years ago.  And FINALLY EA put it in our games!  Better late than never, huh?  So what will happen in the new update?  Will Krusty get a little coin?  Will he live to scheme another day?  Will he take advantage of people trying to help him? Well you’ll have to read the dialogue to find out! (of course, we know the answer to the last question is of course.  Krusty ALWAYS takes advantage!)

Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes.  As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini-event is your typical standard mini-event.  Follow the questline to unlock prizes and call it a day…until the next event.

So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all-new prizes…

The Man Who Prices The Premium Items for EA Revealed

Note from Alissa: With the downtime right now, we thought it would be fun to revisit some of Patric’s old posts from “back in the day” (circa 2014), when he was much angrier at TSTO/EA. Hopefully, they make you chuckle as much as they make us chuckle.   Here’s a look back at one of those posts…

It’s not often that one gets an “insider’s look” at what goes on behind the curtain at EA. I was lucky enough to find out for myself, and have one of my biggest questions finally answered. Namely, “Who Sets the Prices for Premium Items In TSTO?”

The fact is…it always seemed random to me. I never understood how they differentiated between “Premium,” “Freemium”and “Community Prizes” that were earned back in the day by visiting  neighbors.

Now…I know…

Friday Filler – New Land, New Questions, and the Future of TSTO

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

First of all…yes…the snow is still hanging around.  Not happy. But, that’s life…right?  Something pretty, turns ugly, and dangerous, and then won’t leave.  Sounds like my first wife.  (*snare drum/kick drum- Ba Dum!*).

This has been a very odd mini-event. It was ridiculously EAsy…even by today’s mini-event, mini-expectations. I finished the whole thing on Tuesday. As in, more than a week ahead of schedule. And, I didn’t even tap regularly.

I was so busy ignoring the game in my downtime, with a couple of exceptions, that I wasn’t even aware of a HUGE SOMETHING that transpired…that may not just be a Game Changer, but could also be… (Gasp!!) The End Of TSTO as we know it!

Friday Filler – Killing Three Geese With One Stone

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

I can’t believe how many questions the addition of the Golden Goose Real Estate building opened up!  Three HUGE questions, or “goose chases,” that really forced me to do some serious research, math, and some additional Goose Guessing!

The Questions?
1. How Many Land Sections Are There, and how many do I have left?
2. Does it make sense for me to hoard my Free GGR land certificates, or should I move ahead and turn them in for Free Donuts?
3. Where in the heck is “True North” in TSTO?

Well…as much as it seems to be an impossible task to answer all of these in one single post, I am just the tapper to take it on!

Let’s start with Goose Guess Number One…

Friday Filler – When EA Gets it Right…

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

I’m not going to go so far as to say that EA/Gracie always get it right. Far from it.

HOWEVER… this game continues to evolve…EA continues to listen…and the best part of it all (when compared to other mobile games), it JUST KEEPS KEEPIN’ ON!

I’m really not sure how many of you play other Mobile Device games.  I admit to being pretty limited.  Mostly because almost none of them hold my attention.  I’m not into “Shoot ’em up” games, or games that require loads of time each session.  But, more important, I am not a fan of games that get “stuck” in one mode…and bore me.

I am going to ask a very specific question…and I am asking the good folks at Gracie Films/Fox, and specifically Matt Groening… “Why In The Hell Did You NOT Choose EA for your Futurama game?”  I get it for Family Guy. After all…Seth McFarland likes to “be different” (while mostly copying other shows for his content).  But, Matt…you have a good thing going with EA and Tapped Out…what made you flip to Tiny Co for Futurama??

I can’t imagine it was the answer to that question might be. But the much touted, “Futurama Worlds of Tomorrow” should be renamed to “Futurama…not much future tomorrow.”

But, this isn’t about piling on to Tiny Co.  This is a post about the recent things that EA has done, to prove that they still care about the game, and the best choice for Tapped Out. Even if they make us nuts once in a while!

Golden Goose Realty PSA

UPDATE: As of April 2019 the information about saving Land Tiles no longer applies.  Once you’ve earned as many tokens as available land it will convert to earning cash/xp.  No matter how many land squares you leave open.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

So a quick PSA about the Golden Goose Realty….

I know it’s super exciting to finally have the ability to get ALL of those land tiles!  Feels like we’ve been waiting forever.  And it’s even better that you can speed up the building to unlock land even quicker! However, I would caution you not to unlock ALL the land tiles.

It’s Really Important to Keep 1 Land Square Open/Unpurchased.   Once you’ve unlocked ALL the land the Golden Goose Realty will no longer earn land tiles, it will revert to cash and XP (until new land is released).

You’re better off leaving at least 1 land square open so you can continue to earn (and build up) land tokens.

And when you’re ready you can convert your land tokens to donuts.  1 land token=12 donuts. This is done via the store (once you’ve purchased all open land)…

Shoutout to Jason for the images of the donuts in the store and the cash payout of Golden Goose and kamikaze1963443 for the image of the message in-game the appears when you’ve unlocked all of the land tiles.

Which sounds great, but remember once you unlock the ability to convert land tokens to donuts you can no longer earn land tokens.

So do yourself a favor, don’t unlock all of the land and continue earning as many land tokens as you can.

Friday Filler- Using Your Own Super Powers to Maximize Your Donuts!

I am always excited when we have a “Super Hero” event…even a mini-event like this one!  You see, I too have super powers.

I’m sure many of you who have been following my posts for years already suspected as much. But, it’s true…I really do.

I can’t move things with my mind (yet), or see through walls (although I can usually figure out if someone is wearing Spanx).  And yes, I have a very clear power of intuition as to the overall human condition worldwide (you don’t want to know). And, as a result of an NDE in the 90s, often have revelations of how the universe is wired at the quantum level (you really don’t want to know).

However, my real super power, as it pertains to TSTO, is that I almost ALWAYS know where the 3-Donut tile hides when I get a chance to pick!

Call it intuition, or some sort of EDP (Extra-Donut-Perception)…but I have it. And through my ability to understand the inner workings of RDD (Random Donut Disbursement) I can help YOU become better at improving your DPP (Donut Picking Percentage)!

Friday Filler – Are We the Cooks or the Frogs In The Pot?

I woke up this morning to another email update from MoviePass, the “seems to good to be true” service that works kinda like NetFlix, but with real movies. I am hopeful that they are able to figure out a model that works, because Deb and I see a ton of movies with MoviePass, now that we are done with weddings and are true empty-nesters.

But, like so many other great deals in life, they are changing and tightening their service process, because a few (maybe a lot) of people have apparently cheated the system, and found out ways to get more advantage than they are due.  This seems to be the norm these days. Great deals, slowly defray into deals that aren’t as good, or simply flip on a dime with little warning. Sovin so many ways, TSTO is a great educator about life in general. In short…”Don’t think that this is the way it is always going to be…because we know you will adjust, as long as we do it slowly.”

As a guy who can take the time to think about such things…I started adding up the number of ways this kind of thinking has slipped into my daily life over the past few months. I was kind of shocked when I started realizing how many things in my life were changing…slowly…and not for the good. And how I was just like the frog in the pot…kind of ignoring the heat, until I reached a boiling point.

There are so many examples of this in modern society, and not surprisingly, so many of them are mirrored by the changes we have seen in TSTO.

Itchy and Scratchy Land: Event Rundown (and Act 1 Content)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well, the day has finally come…it’s time to get rid of Krustyland forever!  The newest update to hit TSTO finally axes Krustyland!

This update should autostart for you, with a 6s task for 3 Springfielders.  After that, you’ll be prompted to nuke Krustyland.  You cannot progress until you nuke Krustyland.  It’s not something you have to do immediately, but you do have to do it (or it’ll be done for you) by Monday, June 4th.

So let’s break down the newest update, shall we?
