Ok, that’s wierd. My Monsarno Research building is at level 7 and the upgrade symbol has just appeared over it but there are no more upgrade levels left on this act.
Yes, mine, too! When you tap on it, the message says there is an upgrade available, but when you tap on that, it says to wait for Act 2. I have tried going to neighbors & closing & re-opening the game, to no avail. Will this cause a problem going forward?

Wait, so you dismissed them because you had to tap a building to remove a tag? Wow. I wasn’t aware that a basic feature of the game had been deemed offensive.
Not sure how many, but too many offenses in a town (grafitti) and it lowers your overall star rating. So a few, like myself shun on it.

I’m glad you posted that response, Alissa, because I was just going to ask Craig why he thought Mike’s response too be a “personal attack,” as I didn’t see it that way either.
I don’t want this thread to be discontinued. This thread is such a wonderful place to get information and connect with the other players of the game. I want people to put their thoughts out there. I am very much a live and let live type of person. I don’t want anyone to feel put down.
Open thread won’t be discontinued. I was referring to the vandalism thread when I talked about stopping it. But there are no put downs on this thread at the moment.
Don’t know if this has been addressed but is Mrs Bouvier not available as part of the senior group for tasks? Seems unfortunate for those who have her. Thanks in advance for any input.
No, she’s not. (I don’t have her, personally, but I’ve seen the Addicts answer this question several times before, so that’s how I know! 🙂 )
There are a few characters that don’t belong to any group.
Some like Mrs Bouvier, although having obvious designations, may have been too new. That’s my excuse for characters from the Superhero Event. There are still others where classification may be less determinate, like Mindy.
They are in groups… just none that are commonly used for events.
I wonder if there’s something we can do to help with the Weekly Open Thread. You 3 do a wonderful job and everyone realises you need at least one day off per week. Nobody is questioning either of those things – at least I most certainly am not.
Is there any way perhaps 2 or 3 of your most trusted readers could help moderate some posts? I was thinking…
a) only posts to the Weekly Open Thread are in scope
b) only posts that do not require a reply (i.e. nothing asking for TSTO advice or info)
c) only posts that are not in the least bit contentious
If it’s a complete non-starter, please say so – and maybe don’t even publish this post!
It’s just that we love this site and maybe Sunday is the time when many would like to exchange a bit of ‘chat’ on the forum. Maybe a couple of people in Europe and a couple in N. America could moderate posts to enable that?
Is it something you think could be trialled for a couple of weeks or would you not want to delegate rights to people you do not really know?
It’s just a thought, what do you think?
There’s no way to give someone access to moderate 1 post without giving them access to the entire site.
We do try to get in here, it’s just some days are harder than others. For me today it was so nice out we decided to get some yard work completed. But we’re inside now 🙂

I’m keeping Kang on his 20-hr Drink Hilarium task so that I don’t mistake him for a mutant. He’s easy enough to recognize when he’s alone, but in a crowd, the top of his head is close enough to the right color green to make me think there is a mutant in there!
Yep, this time I’ve been tapping away at Kang and P-rex, wondering why they won’t smoosh. And on a semi-related note..
I’m starting to hate the sound the slow mutants make when you squish them, even as a horror movie fan, it’s a little too “death rattle-y” for me to hear over and over! Kinda gross! I know, I know, volume off = problem solved! 😉
I wish I could task the mutant frog prince the same way! The amount of times patiently waiting for it to vomit…
Hello everyone, a few minutes a a huge majority of my buildings just turned on out of nowhere. I was decorating then the haunted house came on. I don’t mind but does anyone know what’s going on?
It just happens occasionally for no particular reason…just enjoy it when it does! 🙂

My Daily play Mystery Box Contained the Blue Haired Laywer this week!
Congrats! Mine too! I was feeling unlucky because everyone was talking wonderfull things about the new mystery box. I was really glad I got Squeaky Voice Teen with the first one, but then… Bomb Shelter (I didn’t need more of those, tyvm!)… and then… Khlav Kalash Stand (same thing; it’s the cheapest prize in the box). I was very happy I got BHL this week. BHL, SVT and the Lemon Tree (this one still in the old box) are the only good things I got in the mystery boxes until today!

The mystery box has been very kind to me, too…it was definitely worth spending since donuts on (especially since only one of my free ones yielded a premium item).
Is anyone stil having the glitch when they tap the character icon in the upper left corner the task list disappears immediately? I know it was addressed in the past, but I still have the issue. Is it something

Still happening on my aspect. I think it’s related to how many NPCs are active.
It occurs whenever something finishes in your town, and the dollar sign appears. If you are sending tasks just as your blue houses start cashing in (disaster for house-farmers like me), then the window will disappear at the rate the $ appear. It seems to be the same with the thumbs up icon for characters finishing stuff as well. I was able to test and verify this with brown-houses, but I havent tested it with character completions.
EA has been told about this issue; but not sure what, if anything, they plan to do about it.
Very common, mostly frustrating, almost autocompleted a task (about to press the task, it disappearred and I selected the kwikemart, almost pressed yes!)…
Yup! Very frustrating, especially when I’m trying to rush through the tasks. I think Nelson Muntz’s personality is taking over the app. 😉 Yoink!
I have that glitch too, then if I tap the next character the first ones menu shows up.
I have to say I’m not hugely enjoying this event so far. Any event is good, but this seems a lot more grind for a lot less fun than say the superhero event. Fingers crossed it’ll pick up in act two.
Hmmmm, I’m the opposite. I’m loving this.
I love the way that you have to think about what you’re doing, whereas the Superhero was just tap, tap, tap, ad infinitum.

Happy Sunday fellow tappers! Is anyone else having a problem adding friends, I can get to screen but when I try to tap on spyglass to typed in name it will not bring up keyboard 🙁
Other than that having a blast with this update! Just wish I could get mores seeds with spending precious pink sprinkles!
@HH — are you using the default keyboard for your device, or an alternate keyboard. This issue has been reported on Answers HQ and the issue seems to be with using alternative keyboards. Also, if you are using an iOS device, don’t use the “split” keyboard, if you have that option.
I am really enjoying the event a bit more challenging than usual. So a question are you crafting or upgrading……..ohh and cheetos.
Upgrading. At level 7 already and now I get nearly double rewards on fertiliser. Well worth it.
@jebus – I’m pretty sure I’ve told you this before, but I was struck anew yesterday by how fabulous your town is…so meticulously designed!
So I’m assuming we swap currencies for part 2. My question then becomes, if I start saving the currency for this part of the event toward the farmer’s market but I don’t manage to obtain it before the change, will I lose all of my progress and have to start over? Or will it roll over somehow?
Also, is anyone else at L7 being told by their Monsarno building to level up again when they can’t? 😀
Fertilizer and Corn will remain with Act 2, only the Spades (Spatrowelvels) will change out.

cant seem to get the plants to attack or whatever is suppose to happen….and Im running out of days…..I dont see how anyone else does it unless they are using hundreds of donuts to skip every single task during this event……

How far along are you in the various event tasks?
Level up Monsarno facility to Level 3, and follow the quest line, and the ‘attacking’ will begin. It’s very important to keep leveling up the building.
I am still having polar thoughts about this latest event. Sometimes I like it, sometime I don’t.
I was tired of my old krustyland so i nuked it and i rebuild 4 zones:
The adult one (with krustyland hotel, the viking ship, duff statues, duff pavillion and Wet and smokey)
The commercial is decorated with flowers and bush (with food needle, bumblebee man taco truck,krustyland krustyburger,tabern of the scream,food stands,itchy and scratchy store and games )
The boy’s one is decorated with a blue tent (with radiactive man : the ride Scratcy’s flea dipper haunted condo and death drop)
The girl’s one its decorated with a pink tent valentine’s day and easter day (with sleeping itchy castle happy little elves in panda land krustyland noria and a cotton candy stand)
And in the center i’m going to build a bumper car part

We’ll be doing a krustyland showoff down the road. Hold off on sending them until we do it, just so they don’t get lost.

Do you think it’s worth it to buy the corn offer after lvl7 upgrade?
Actually I don’t get it, since it’s the fertilizer that is needed most. Not just for the upgrade, but for crafting as well.
Will there be more need for corn in act 2?
Or am I just overlooking something?
I am willing to spend some pink sprinkles if it gains me some considerable advantage in this event. I just don’t see how this would be the case here…
I don’t think it’s worth it. Just a teaser from EA. Something to tempt you to spend donuts.
I’ve got a problem when it comes to visiting friend’s. I try to visit my friend’s but during the loading screen it crashes
Another player farther down the list has mentioned the same thing. Does it also happen when visiting “Other Springfield” or just other people’s accounts? Is it every single neighbor or just some of them? What troubleshooting steps have you tried already? Do you have any spare or “backup” devices you can try playing on (temporarily) to see if it is related to your device or to your account?
it crashers after i try to fisit my 2 friend.
The other day the entire TSTO app would crash on me whenever I tapped to go to Krustyland or visit friends. It was also crashing at random points in regular play in my own Springfield for no obvious reasons – and this was on a Nexus 7, the least-buggy Android device there is! I shut down and restarted my tablet and the problem went away.
A hard restart also fixed the issue on mine.
I’m wondering if anyone obtained the Farmers Market, and if so, is there any new requests/tasks afterwards?

I’m curious which app you used to stitch the screenshots?
If you don’t mind my 2 cents, I know its a bit low-tech, but I use MS Paint for all of my previous stiched-pics.
I just realised as I was decorating my old simpsons farm that none of the new buildings can have concrete under and cannot be placed on them (Monsanto research, chimp resources, Monsanto cafeteria and of course, the farm). That is really frustrating and I’m not sure why they did it
There’s a trick to placing concrete under those buildings. You place a square right next to it, then drag it under the building, then repeat.
So with the monsano building – is it worth it to waste crafting resources to upgrade it? Thansk

Upgrade — it unlocks more tasks for more characters that allows you to build up resources faster.
Happy Sunday everyone! Is it just me, or have other people had a momentary lapse where you thought “this is odd – why haven’t I been earning much money in my Springfield recently?” before realizing that 3/4 of my town is at Monsarno all the time?
Actually, one thing that’s helping me offset some of the loss in character earnings it’s that I’m now above to collect from my of my buildings (still leaving a few free for tapping, for those neighbors who haven’t reached the veggie-tapping stage, but not many…).
Yeah, at this rate Marvin Monroe ought to take another long sabbatical because it’s going to be a while before I’ve got $1.2 million ante for Level 51. 🙁
Its hard to get your head around, but with TSTOaddicts help, I had managed to keep most of my spare Springfieldinites on task, ensuring key combo characters were available for tasks, and ensuring that all corn and fertiliser gatherers are maximumly (???) utilised. It has been a bit tricky, but I’ve just clocked over 9 mil (previous posts will indicate my past coin / date ), and still regularly ensure I tap and use the KL cashin bonus (still waiting for my sprinkle pop!).
I am feeling not so good as I do not have enough mutant seedlings to return my neighbours. I am getting more than I could return. Thank you neighbours.

It does help, but still makes you feel guilty when you can’t get to everyone!
And then I’ve tried to drop most around midday here, which for our US tappers should be you afternoon / evening, yesterday! So they can ensure they get them within the 4 hour limit…

I don’t know if anyone else has this problem, but I can’t visit my friends. When I try to, my game crashes. What should I do?
Every friend or just certain friends? Does it happen when you try to visit “Other Springfield” or just other players? Do you have the current version on your device? Do you have a different device you can try using (temporarily) to help determine if it is your device or your account?
I also have the same problem on my Nvidia tablet, running Lollipop. Any friend visit crashes the app. fortunately I have alternatives I can use, but it is annoying…
This happens with every single friend! I usually play on android, but I have an Ipad I can play on to. Should I try playing there?

I think I got a glitch from the game, I somehow ended up with 2 of the Old Simpson Farms. Anybody else experience it as well? Also, my Cecil tasks begin / end at a weird time (late afternoon)!
It’s a glitch that can be replicated. EA has been told!

Upgrading is better strategy!
Yes, it’s possible. I reckon in 3 or 4 days time I’ll be able to craft a farmers market. I don’t think I will, but I’ll be able to.
But upgrading is definitely the way to go. I’ll only be able to collect enough stuff because my research centre is upgraded to level 7.
I have been upgrading now at 7 and practly have every character constantly at Monsanto earning ingredients and am only at 5450 fezrterlizer and 3400 corn. I do not see how I will be able to craft it either! Much less any of the other items. Think EA is asking a bit too much.

You’ll get there easily. You don’t have any more upgrades to pay for (not for a few days, anyway) and you’re 3/4 of the way there on corn and 1/3 on fertilisers. You’ll get there a day before me at this rate 🙂
Stayed on the upgrade track and just reached Level 7. Hopefully I’ll see a decent payoff. I send my guys on event-related tasks when feasible, but there’s no way I’m going to send them on 2- or 4-hour jobs at bedtime just to scrape up a few more bags of fertilizer or ears of corn – especially now that Dr Monroe is nagging me for some serious coin.
Yes, but Dr Monroe is not going anywhere. Those extra bags of fertilizer will add up and come in handy later..?
