Addicts Weekly Open Thread

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Due to POPULAR request….we’ve moving up our open thread time so that our friends outside of the US can participate too!  Let’s get the conversation going!  Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long.  This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

Now…enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right?  Time for another Open Thread!

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING.  Just no Add me requests…those should go here.  We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

So…here is your Open Thread.  Terwilligers ended this past week and Level 53 arrived soon after.  What are your thoughts on the new content plus what did your event “haul” include?  Do you think we’ll see something new this week?  Sunday Night Baseball features the Tigers at the Angels tonight, will you be checking it out?  NBA and NHL finals are set, who are you rooting for?  Last day in May, are you ready for June?  How was your weekend?  Do anything fun?  My sister had her 4th child yesterday a beautiful, healthy little girl…so we had a great weekend here!

So chat about the Simpsons, TSTO, Update fun, or anything else you can think of!  Can’t wait to chat with you all, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Hi all was wondering if I could get some opinions on which is the better buy out of either mount carlmore or the Springfield sign as I have enough donuts for 1 and am a premium player but usually only get characters however I have been looking at these for months possibly even years saying I will eventually get them. Or alternatively should I hold off and wait to see if any characters are coming in the near future as I currently own all available.

P.s I haven’tbeen able to find the “should I buys on them”

  2. barleecreations (canid88)

Whenever and what ever the next event brings I hope EA doesn’t give us anymore prisons. They are huge buildings that take a load of space and besides we have plenty as it is.

    • Agree. I have placed almost everything from the last event, except the prison. It does not fit anywhere for me. I think this goes to storage. I am not going to start squishing building shoulder to shoulder just because I am out of space. I guess I am down to, “If it is not VERY SPECIAL it will not get placed” into my Springfield. Future events will test my desire to grind…

      • barleecreations (canid88)

Thankfully I still have room to grow. But when the time comes storing everything but my favorite buildings is what I figured that’s what I’d do.

    • agreed. i already stored my minimum security prison away, as i couldn’t really find a place to fit it, literally and figuratively.

  3. Okay, having seen them in a few people’s towns, I just gotta say that those giant crickets are kinda creepy!

(Or should I pay it safe and say, “I, for one, welcome our new cricket overlords”? 😉 )

    • The cricket was my “splurge”, I’d say.
It does not scream as a iconic item or give a great bonus-for-donuts-spent value, but it’s oddity factor intrigued me.

I already mentioned it a plague scenario could work with enough cane fields and desert patches.

But, I’ve also also thought of placing it right beside the homer decoy. Having it face the dummy, staring at it like a tasty, tasty carrot dangling on a string!
      “MMMMM…. doughy flesh! Arggggghhhhllllghghhhh!”

      • This was a “splurge” for me as well. The oddity factor fit perfect for me.
Sometimes bonus-for-donuts spent value is meaningless when it comes to passion for personal fit. Fallow your passion is perfect time spent!

      • the mini questline made mention of a soccer team getting lost in a tall field of grass, so naturally i put mine on my soccer pitch.

    • Someone stole my burrito™

I thought it was a grass hopper?

      • I think you’re right – my mistake. Now I need to go do some googling to see what the difference is between them in terms of looks….I can’t seem to picture a visual difference off-hand.

Okay, just looked up some images of each… Crickets seem to have somewhat shorter legs and most of them are brown, but the green ones do look a fair bit like lower-to-the-ground grasshoppers.

      • it is a grasshopper!

        LOL!

  4. Does anyone know whether you have to have completely built krustyland in order to start the level 43 questline with princess Penelope? I’m about to build the pirate boat so I’m quite near the end is that enough?!

  5. Hi,
Is there an EA link to petition them to fix the 1/2 voice thing?
All or nothing please. : )

Great Job Alissa, Bunny, & Wookie, hope you have a good week.

  6. Craig (ibuylow2014)

I have a lot a neighbors that must be taking a break. I have not been able to find three items to tap. I understand, I will wait for you because I feel your pain. TSTO overload.

    • GodlessSquash

Thanks for the reminder. I too had a few last night with nothing to tap and I meant to go through them again this morning.

  7. Ugh, I can’t believe it. I spent a long time working on the Krustyland quests. I left it for a while as it didn’t really have any benefits, until I saw that you could get another character (Princess Penelope), so I went back to it awhile ago. I knew that the Tooth Chipper would finish building this morning, so I specifically made sure that Krusty would be free to start the quest, but I didn’t realise Bart needed to ride the Chipper first(now it sounds like a wood chipper), he and Krusty were both free, but I sent Bart on a task. Only 6 hours, but I wanted to get the build started. I was going to unlock the rest of the land, try and finish the quests and decorate it properly, then I would be done and just trade tickets in for cash. This is why I should wait to see if they can be used first. D’oh!

    • GodlessSquash

Actually Princess Penelope isn’t just a bonus character, she is required to progress to the next level. But yeah, I hate it when I screw up progress by jumping the gun. I’m working on Level 53 with Mrs Quimby and I am otherwise caught up enough that the game is giving me random character tasks just to keep things on the to do list. Well, last night the random task was to send Chief Wiggum on his 24-hour undercover job. I figured why not and sent him. Guess who I needed for the Mrs Quimby quest line right after that? Yup. 🙁

      • I didn’t know that, thanks! And sorry to hear that. :/ I have a bad habit of sending characters for long tasks, only to find out a few seconds later that I need them. I do it a lot and I should have learnt to wait by now. I normally finish all tasks, then activate quest bubbles and act on those, in most cases, I knew I would need to go to another area, like Krustyland, and I didn’t want to have to go back to Springfield as Bart already had tasks, so I tasked him then left, but I would have preferred to have finished the Krustyland quests.

  8. Why cant EA turn some premium things into regular things.Hi, im new but been playing 2 years. Live in the philippines

  9. I’ve been playing since the beginning of the game, always managed to obtain every item until 2014, i missed out on an entire years worth of content due to lack of memory on my phone. No matter what i was deleting i couldnt access my game. I started back up in 2015 with a new phone with bigger memory, just makes me sad when i look back at friends towns and the items i missed out on. Especially 2014 Halloween and Christmas! I hope EA do a week where they release all the items from all events to purchase with donuts! So even the newbies can have a chance at some older items.

    • I started very late 2014 and I’ve been very happy how EA has allowed me to catch up, here’s how I’d be even happier with re-releases in order: Cool Brown House w/Homer skin, Springfield Falls, Witch Marge w/cauldron, Guinea Pig Rescue, Three Eyed Sushi (this could be higher, I think I’d do cartwheels for it) House of Evil, Mapple, Super Collider and Bad Dream House. There are others that I was there for but couldn’t afford (space) like the skating rink that I wish I’d gotten now (more because I love Roller Derby than I love the building) Each to their own!

  10. Why oh why did I waste resources on cactus patches and cane fields instead of opera ticket booths? I just realized they make good mansion guard houses 🙁

    • Well, if it makes you feel any better, unless you were short on corn, your cane fields didn’t keep you from getting the opera ticket booths (since they didn’t require masks to get them), so you can enjoy your cane without regret! 🙂

      • Haha, I realized that reading the crafting posts here after I clicked reply. So I will happily make a cane maze 😀

    • I ended up crafting an extra two or three of the ticket booths in the rush before the event’s end. I happened to have enough for those but was always shy for canes & deserts. If I had more than a couple of each than I could have set up the plague scenario I was thinking about.
      :/

    • I am using them as a row of outhouses (outdoor toilets/restrooms) in my beach camp area.

      • I’ve got a double row of buildings on my Squidport and they look quite good in the 2nd row, i.e. behind other buildings – you can just see their roof so can think there’s a building with its back to you

  11. Two things;
1-I just caught Sideshow Bob in a neighbors’ town pre-event style. What gives? Sorry, didn’t check to see if anyone else has had this happen too.
2-Would it kill EA to tell us what collection buildings will be profitable post-event? I’m stuck with 3 libraries that don’t do squat because I thought they’d be the same as the apartment buildings in the super hero event, which earn income now that it’s over.

    • 1. Yes, if the neighbour doesn’t have SB, you might be prompted to catch him.
      2. They didn’t even earn anything during the event, just vanity, whereas the Zenith City ones did, it was in the info box I think, for crafting, although they gave one for free.

  12. Just out of interest, would Otto, Manjula or Luann be a better buy? 🙂 They seem like the most reasonable deals!

    • I would suggest Otto in my opinion! He’s the only one I have in my town out of the three you listed, but since his bus looks so good next to the school, and his quests are really funny and VERY Otto, I 100% recommend it! But it’s totally your choice 🙂

    • I went Otto first. After that luann. I’ve been happy with them both.

    • GodlessSquash

I don’t have Manjula yet, but she is on my short list. I think I got Otto before Luann, but I think Luann is better investment if you must choose. That is just my opinion without crunching numbers and quantifying it.

    • TechnoTrousers0

I bought Luann do I could get the cracker factory plus the ability to craft as many Fleet-a-Pita trucks as I wanted. It was the addition of Agnes as a character that pushed me over the edge. Now I have the complete Investorettes crew!

I do still want to get Otto one day though. He’s just such a classic character.

    • Depends if your a Premium or a Freeium player….Luann would be the better deal since she comes with 3 questlines and the Cracker factory has a nice payout. Manjula is good because of Apu’s Apartment payout ($500) her questlines are usually with Apu. Otto is okay with his questline I would put him for last. I would go for Luann between the three players

    • Otto has a bunch of side quests, I’m not sure how it works though if they’re bout out of order… I have the uter quest line in my mind

    • I deciced for Luann, for the following reasons: she completes the van Houtens collection, more than one questline for her and allows to place Fleet-a-pitas (not only in Springfield, but Krustyland as well).

    • For me, Luann then Otto then Majula!

    • Thanks, I think I’ll have to go with Luann then! 🙂
I want them all, but… in time.

    • TheWackyWombat

All are good choices, but my personal opinion is you should do Luann then Otto and finally Manjula.

They’re all good characters, but Luann has additional quest lines which unlock fleet a pita, and interact with kurt. In addition, she has a lot of entertaining outdoor activities.

I like Otto because he interacts with the bus a lot, and unlike other buildings these activities all have different animations. He’d almost be worth it for the bus alone, it’s such a unique building and adds variety to your Springfield. The only reason I rank him lower than Luann is there’s very little interaction beyond his primary quest line and he’s always at the bus. Mine is on the edge of town, so I usually forget about him unless I’m looking for him.

Manjula is fine, but nothing stands out about her. My only gripe is that her 24 hr permanent task requires Apu to complete. I find it annoying to deal with when I drop to daily updates, since Apu usually comes up in my list first.

    • There is a post further down this thread where some of the responses outline the benefits of Luann, you might find that helpful. I have bought Otto and can vouch that he is a worthwhile buy, especially if you are trying to build up Krustyland (but even if you’re not). His “building” is just the bus so it doesn’t take up much room if your town is already crowded. The bus is a good prop to have next to the school or in any parking lot or near the Gas and Grub if you got that in the last event. Luann is an excellent deal and I’m getting her next just so it opens up the investorettes questline, otherwise I would love to have Manjula.

    • I know about “better buy,” but Otto was my first premium purchase, because I couldn’t imagine a Springfield without him.

      • Otto would be my pick of the 3 by a distance. And he’s voiced, so it’s a complete no-brainer for me. Luann ahead of Manjula though, definitely.

    • GodlessSquash

I just noticed that Otto has another 2-hour task, “Grab a Slice of Pizza,” that requires Vesuvius Pizza (which I don’t have yet). I assume this is in addition to his 2-hour task to, “Satisfy the Munchies.” I wonder if it pays at a super premium rate. 😉

      • in addition to both those 2 hour tasks, he also has a third 2 hour task to visit guitar central, if you have that building. they all pay out $175 and 40 xp though.

  13. Hope everyone had a good weekend! 🙂 I spent my Sunday watching the Sideshow Bob episodes. I haven’t watched an episode with Sideshow Bob in a long time, but I do really like the character and those episodes are all really good ones. I dont know if I would be able to choose a favourite episode… I do like the one with Cecil, and Bob having to save Bart & Lisa. So I thought I would ask… which episode with Sideshow Bob is your favourite?

    • GodlessSquash

For me it would be the first one because I really like the edginess of the first seasons. Then it would be the one with Cecil and the dam because of Bob having to manage the yokels (“Really, Cousin Merle!”) and Cecil’s line about ringing in the ears when he is about to blow them up. Good times. 😁

      • Yeah, the first few were the best. Although the ep with the whole family was good too, Funeral for a Fiend. The one with Dr Robert and Dame Judith. Interesting plot.
But The Man Who Grew Too Much wasn’t that good. Just ok.

      • Hahaha, yes I love the earlier episodes! I especially love the dramatic sideshow Bob music (if you know what I mean).

  14. On Fox they advertised the Duffman retire episode but they are showing The Kids are all fight instead

  15. For all you Freemium players::
    COME TO THE DARKSIDE!!!
    JOIN US!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
OR I SHALL SAY NEE TO YA!! LOL

    • pay me, runic.
                              … and then I’ll join.

pay me in donuts (…or iTunes cards which I can redeem for donuts)
and I’ll be one helluva premium Sith Lord.

      LOL! 😀
      I laugh cause it’s true!

      • I started playing after the Beta testing and i was all about Freemium! What i learned was that in order for any game to thrive it needs financial supporters and i have supported quite a few EA games but i digress!
I am paycheck to paycheck, so i just save a bit each check until i make my 2400 Sprinkle goal! Then i go crazy shopping! Yes, 100.00 is alot but i deserve to splurge on myself! Anyway, it is the best deal too! My other post, i was just having fun! I understand why alot of ppl wish to stay Freemium and believe me when i say that i totally enjoy free donuts, i mean who wouldn’t! I only truly concentrate on the limited time items and when i accumulate my savings goal then i go “shopping” for the ones that are not limited! I especially love it when ole Gil shows up! Thats just me tho! 😉

    • I don’t have much money but I’ve told myself I can buy 1 boatload every year.
I figure that’s reasonable expenditure for something that takes up so much of my time.
I’m going to be cutting back how much time I spend in this game though, so I don’t know whether I’ll be exercising my option to buy. I’ll see how I feel in 3 months or so (which is when my 2nd year will start).

  16. GodlessSquash

Hey! They are running the tie-in episode “Waiting For Duffman” again right now – the one that gave us Bart’s trike and Lisa’s toy car.

  17. Thanks to Alissa, Bunny and Wookie for all their hard work. I have been playing since december but I have a couple of newb-esque questions based on some basic gameplay and I can’t seem to find any specific answers in any forum:

    1. When visiting Neighbor’s towns, once I’ve tapped the 3 allotted buildings for cash/frink points, sometimes I just jet to the next town (I’ve gotten better about waiting but sometimes I just do it automatically). This has me wondering if I am potentially missing pay out from those towns and the 25 xp bonus from the pop up window? Do you have to wait and click ok before moving on or is TSTO good about tallying your rewards. If I don’t have to wait, I can usually cut my time surfing neighbors towns in half.

    2. I am currently at Friend Point Level 16, so I am getting the occasional donut and 3x the cash I was getting before. But I got to the max level for the first time at level 16 so I don’t really know what happens when a new item is added. If they add another item to the queue, will my cash collection go back down by a third? I have come to rely on that income and just curious what will happened.

    3. Occasionally I have two sets of hand shakes on a building (usually a quick turn around like Simpsons house). Is that an indication that two people were in my town at the same time and happened to tap on the same item? It feels like the app checks the network in regular intervals but that gameplay is locally handled. If this is so, then this reinforces my concern in the first question as to whether I am collecting all the cash/points if I leave a town prematurely…

    Thanks!

    • 1. Word is you don’t have to wait.
      2. It will drop and won’t give donuts until you hit max again.
      3. Never had that happen, but see 1.

    • 3. Happens every so often to me. Happened tonight on a brown house.

    • I was getting a lot of double and triple handshakes on houses before the Terwilliger event, not sure I have seen it post-event. Supposedly this double handshake would give you extra squidport sections for free, but with larger Springfields, no one sees the squidport, so faster to just pay and go.

      • What? Can you explain the how or why behind what you said? It doesn’t make sense to me.

      • The multiple handshakes Squidport tile bonus glitch thing was fixed a long time ago, before I even started playing. Sorry!

    • My understanding of the double or more handshake is this:
All buildings that give money are collectable by friends if they are unclaimed so far by you. Once a friend clicks on it a timer begins (I don’t know how long). In that timer window only you are able to collect from that building. When the timer runs out friends will be able to select it again.
So if the item has a shorter timer (probably your quick regen buildings like Simpsons house, kwik-e-Mart and brown houses) then if you don’t play for an extended period of time you are more likely to see the double like that.

    • So CONFIRMED: first town I tapped on has three contiguous blue houses with dollar signs. I took the time and wrote down my cash and xp total before hand. After tapping the three blue houses I went immediately back to my town and the differences were what I would have expected $171 and 31 xp (2 for each house plus 25 bonus)

So you DO NOT have to wait for the pop up! Hallelujah.

      Thanks for all the responses.

  18. I was surprised that they have Sideshow Bob to tap in my friend’s towns when I am visiting. It is hard to know if the Sideshow Bob is the one to tap, or if he is the one that belongs in that town. There is some music that starts, which seems to indicate to be looking for him, but he is hard to find. I thought that all ended after this last event. Mary Jo

    • Probably neighbors who don’t have Bob. The new Bob moves slower and if outside should be on ‘s task (eating a rake).

  19. I love the new Mystery Box prizes! Today I won 30 donuts! 30 donuts!

    • It is nice, just won my 3rd Lard Lad Donut. Just wish I could start to exchange them for their 110 donuts – I really, does anyone need THREE Lard Lads? ( I also have won three News Vans and their 2% multiplier, and twice won 30 donuts)

      • 7 Lard Lads, Tracy. Seven. Lol.
It’s completely my own fault, so I’m not complaining. Shouldn’t have bought more than 100 mystery boxes 😉

      • TechnoTrousers0

Homer needs three Lard Lads: one near home, one near work, and one near Moe’s! 😉

Now the prize I’m getting tired of is Chalmers’ _onda. I think I have five of them already.

        • Too many of any of the freemium decorations are a pain, but I have to say, I think I could find more use for a bunch of ‘Ondas than I can for a bunch of minnow ponds or bomb shelters… I’m definitely maxed out on what to do with those!

      • I feel your pain. I have one Lard Lad in my town. I have 9 Lard Lads in storage. That would be 990 🍩!!!

      • I feel your pain. I have one Lard Lad in my town. I have 9 Lard Lads in storage. That would be a whopping 990 🍩!!!

      • Lard Lad Donuts are the “legally allowed” type of building farms, because they are premium items, therefore it cannot be achieved by regular in-game cash, and donuts are not worth it to spend it on them for the freemium players.

        • What do you mean by “legally allowed”? I’m not a fan of house farms or Kwik-E-Mart farms, but I don’t think there’s anything “illegal” about them, as far as EA is concerned…

      • Actually, I was thinking the other day was that a reasonable proposal would be to be able to sell back premium items for a fraction of their cost, the same way we can sell back freemium items for a fraction of their cost. I can’t remember what that fraction is, off-hand, but even a third or a quarter would be a nice proposition, especially with a 110-donut Lard Lad!

      • I meant “legally allowed” as it is not going up to higher prices if you own more, like the ordinary house farms.

      • I still haven’t won a lard lad. But I have won sixty donuts, blue hair, kerney, and two Hondas. And a bomb Shelter. And a news van.

    • so did I, bought the motorcar…

  20. I’m having an issue with the racetrack; not sure if I’m the only one? I always play 99-1 odds and in the past few weeks (or even months?) I haven’t won once! I used to win from time to time (maybe once every two weeks?)

    • GodlessSquash

Random is random and 99-1 is 99-1! I think the couple or three time I won were bunched together too.

      • I have won approx. 4 times on the 99-1 bet, first one was spent on the Writers Building, and something else, and the second time won is also spent on something, but the last two was scrapped to $400000, but it later got into $617059, which is the current state of my cash.

    • I always do that. Feel like I win about once every 3 months.

      • Thanks, both … It just feels like the frequency has changed from before … But maybe that’s just the odds evening out …

    • The Racetrack does operate at a loss of 66%, so in the long-term you should win at a rate of 34%. But if it’s profit you’re after you’re always better off backing the 2-1 favorite.

  21. Haven’t seen it mentioned, but I think the voice cut off on the characters also fixed the task box from disappearing. Probably were linked. I have not had any more problems with my task boxes disappearing.

    • GodlessSquash

      Nice observation. Could be….

      • I think that the voice cut-offs are indicating that they redesigned the threading system of the game, resulting no disappearing task boxes and no crashes, which could happen if too much money being harvested.

    • TechnoTrousers0

I hope that’s true. It was getting brutal near the end of the last event. I’d have to tap characters 3-4 times until I could scroll down and select their task before the box disappeared. Ugh.

  22. Apologies if this gets asked every open thread day…What’s the deal with Krustyland? Do they ever release new content/rides/attractions? I keep hoping that something new will come with the next update, but then it never does. My Krustyland is languishing!

    • Last time was with Princess Penelope. But it’s still a forgotten land.

    • GodlessSquash

The mods and vets can confirm this, but my experience tells me KL was created when a lot of people had maxed out on everything and it was later forgotten after the initial problem was solved with new levels and characters. I would truly like to know if I am even close to being on the mark. I didn’t start TSTO until 1/3 into last Halloween’s event.

  23. Sorry if this has been asked already, but when Cecil performs comedy at the opera task he briefly appears with a clown costume. But then he disappears while performing the task. Is this a glitch. I love the skin and wish he would appear on stage wearing it throughout the task.

    • I assumed it’d be outside too. It’s odd the way they changed some tasks when the event ended.

    • Speaking of Cecil, has anyone noticed that his 24-hr task, running for mayor, is just him walking around as though he hasn’t been assigned a task? I think one of his other tasks has this same disappointing animation. Anyone else noticed?

      • GodlessSquash

I rarely use the 24-hr jobs, but I don’t remember that task from the quest line. I might have to try it when he gets done with his current task.

      • He just walks around like normal when he is “scheming” too. As well has only see him briefly as Sideshow Cecil after his “try standup comedy”.

  24. Happy Sunday🌺

  25. FINALLY!!!!! PINK stuff!!!! I was hoping EA would release a bunch of pink items- I wanted to do a pink part of town. ..silly, I know. ..but I have a question- when I went to put the pool down another pool popped up which I should have bought because I wanted multiple pools. but I wanted to place them where I wanted them so I bought the first pool and upgraded it, then went into the store to buy another one and it was gone. I’m assuming, had I bought more than one it would have disappeared. I just thought it was weird that when I put the first one down the shadow of a second one did show up. Anyone notice this?

  26. How many hits can I get on friend sites?

    • not sure what you’re asking

      • Not sure of limit I can tap in friends sites…..90 or unlimited?
And what does each gain for me in cash? I’m level 53 and max of FPs. Thanks for your very long time help you’ve provided.

    • GodlessSquash

Friends get three taps per day.

      • All friends or just 90?

        • GodlessSquash

3 taps each, maximum 100 friends + Other Springfield. I have been maxed for a while, but I remember it is 10 FP per tap for first ten friends, then 5 for some, etc. declining to 1 per tap for the rest.

    • You can tap 3 buildings in each of all of your up to 100 neighbors (plus Other Springfield) per day and earn cash and XP for all 303 taps. If you haven’t maxed out your FP, you can collect that, too, but there may be a cap of 90 taps-worth per day, like with most event stuff, but I don’t remember for sure. Once you have maxed out your FP, you have a .05% chance to earn a donut in research of your friendville taps, as well, PLUS you earn TRIPLE the amount of cash and XP for each tap. I don’t remember the exact dollar amount (and I’ve finished my taps for the day, so I can’t check right now). It’s not a huge amount individually, but I can tell you that if you visit all of your neighbors every day, the cash and XP really does add up!

      Does that help?

  27. Congratulations on your baby niece Alissa!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊

  28. I saw an odd thing when I visited one of my Simpson neighbors today. I’ve never seen it before and it got me to wondering… what the heck is it?! What the thing looks like is a big walnut, but it pulsates. Anyone know what it could be?

  29. I just got to Level 53 and Skinner started a quest called Nerds R Us. A quick search on your site only showed a CoC reference. Is this something to come? Or a glitch in my game? Just completed the first “task,” but most of my other characters are tied up for a bit, so it’s a mystery to me.

  30. Anyone know how to earn money faster in tapped out? Currently at level 52 saving for slaughterhouse, and I just want to get money fast enough so I’m not falling way behind when level 54 hits.

    • The only way I know is to farm houses… It’s ugly though and takes up space… I had 12 devoted squares of blue houses and made 16 million over last event

      • unless he/she has a buncha houses saved up already in the inventory, it’s probably not feasible to house farm anymore in this game.

      • Send your characters on the shortest tasks you can possibly manage. Visit all 100 friends. (If you’ve maxed out your FPs, you get *triple* the $$ and XP for each friend tap.) Collect from your buildings promptly (as long as you leave enough for neighbors to tap… If you’re going to be in the game frequently and you have several brown houses and/ or Kwik-E-Marts, you can just leave those, the Simpsons house, and a few other quick-regenerating building untapped and just keep clearing the handshakes ASAP.

      • House mines are a legacy thing now. I have 500 blues, but new ones will cost 216k, (versus a thousand that paid back in ten collections). you can make a little headway with k marts and k burger, and get five stars, but not a whole lot of acceleration.

    • If you can send all the characters to work 1 hour or less you will collect more money then if you sent them to work longer hours. I also do what others have referred to as “house farming”. I have a large amount of the brown houses, 42 purple houses, 24 franchise krusty burgers, 9 franchise gulp’n’blows, 8 franchise kwik-e-marts, and 9 blue houses. (I do sell them off or store them, all depending on what I need.) You can also convert your Krusty land tickets into money.
