Where Did THAT Come From – Plastic Surgery Center

Welcome to the Lifestyles of the Springfield Rich & Famous… errr… well, to a site writing about a new rich people expansion in TSTO. In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

So the Springfield Heights expansion brought us lots of new items with confounding leveling up of buildings, real estate values and tap-tap-tappery. Of course, it also brought lots of new stuff to find in the Best. Show. Ever. The second week of Springfield Heights brought us two new premium items. One of these is the Plastic Surgery Center for 80 donuts which earns $55 and 5 XP every hour for doing just what it says in the signage and screams like a girl when tapped… weird.  But when and where did this appear in the the Best. Show. Ever.? Is it canon? Well friends, you know I love writing a good origin story so let’s get to it, shall we?

Our first possible appearance is in “Future-Drama” (S16:E15). Professor Frink has mastered the one true science of astrology (“the Tampa Bay Devil Rays of the sciences… not so goooood”) and with new more powerful computers can show the future. The possible future of Bart and Lisa is interesting. Dollars became Reagans, the U.S. got a 51st state called Saudi Isrealia and there’s hover cars. Other than it officially being 2015 and us not getting our promised hover boards, this episode is fun. During a sequence where Bart and Homer are careening through future Springfield in Homer’s hover car, we see the Plastic Surgery Center.

Ok… so this isn’t our new building but I couldn’t help showing Patty with a tail. I’ll stop dilly dallying and give up the goods on where the new premium actually comes from. It first appears in “Husbands and Knives” (S19:E7). Marge creates a successful gym franchise called Shapes and becomes uber successful. Homer becomes worried though that Marge might trade him in for a newer model. He’s determined to become hot again to save his marriage and we all know the sure way to guarantee he can become a good looking husband, right? Definitely not hard work, exercising two hours a day, keeping up with the latest fashions and cutting out fatty foods and alcohol. He has a fullproof plan.

Homer Simpson Get Stomach Stapled

At the Plastic Surgery Center, the doctor outlines the gastric bypass procedure and agrees to do it the same day. It seems to work even if Homer’s extra skin is a tad gross.

Unfortunately Homer goes overboard and has a few too many surgeries making him a monster.

Ok… it was all a dream and Homer never became a hideous monster but we’re not done with the center. It’s back again in ”The Real Housewives of Fat Tony” (S22:E19). When Selma treats Fat Tony like an ordinary tax payer, he kidnaps her and lets her pick which body part to cut off first. Selma picks her love handles, arm waddles, cankles and excess back fat tricking Tony into getting her lipo. They call their doctor friend who owes them a favor. Well, they actually owe him a favor and do two favors for him so he’ll owe them in the future but I’m rambling. Can you guess where said doctor works?

Plastic Surgery Center Simpsons 2

Yup… the Plastic Surgery Center. We already know they staple stomachs so why not liposuction too? And that’s really it my friends… what do you think of the new limited time premium building? Feel different about it now that you know it’s canon in The Simpsons? Did you buy it? Sound off in the comments and stay classy my friends.

TTFN.. Wookiee out!

  1. Kris (KidShamrock390)

I placed mine across the street from Giuseppe’s Workshop (the fireworks guy)…figured he might need some work after a fireworks related accident. lol…

  2. I was kinda hoping for the Plastic Surgeon (the one seen in the picture next to Homer – the one with glasses and surgeon mask off) because He has been in a few other episodes including the one with Handsome Moe and Bosomy Marge (if I’m not mistaken).

  3. You probably already know this and have the posts written, but I came across the origins of the Montessori school and the column mansion and figured I’d share anyway. Springfield Montessori (as Bart calls it in the episode) appears in XXXXXX and the column mansion appeared in XXXXXX.

    • Blocked your origins because indeed I have already written up origins for both of these, we just spread them out when posting. Thanks for trying to help though.

  4. …I have placed the freemium version in my SH instead and no donuts spent lol : )

  5. I wonder why Homer didn’t go to the Stomach Staple Center to get his stomach stapled? Darn those continuity errors! 😉

  6. So this was when Homer got his stomach stapled? And the stomach staple center was when Marge did it?

    • Marge got lipo but yeah… same same. I think they did the separate Staples Center just to lampoon the real one in Los Angeles that has less to do with lipo and more to do with dentistry lol.

  7. I just noticed tapping on a building now collects the tax and any tasks there at the same time! Can be useful but can be annoying if you want to leave stuff for neighbours to tap!

    • I found it started doing that a couple of weeks ago, then seemed to stop, only to find it happening again today. Wonder if it is a bug or intentional?
