The Monorail has finally arrived. Yes, the Monorail is now in Springfield….and it’s only natural that Krusty’s trying to promote himself throughout the event. After all, he’s gotta make a living somehow & what better way than with Krusty’s Drive-Thru Monorail Station (because who doesn’t need fries with a Monorail ride?) Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Krusty’s Drive-Thru Station to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this station to YOUR Springfield!
Building: Krusty’s Drive-Thru Station (Note: you do NOT get the truck with it, it’s only there to show you get Track Pieces with it)
Donut Price: 150 Donuts
Earns: Possums/4hrs (starts at 8 and increases as you add more tracks)
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Gluttony +10
Size: 8×12
Leaves the game August 28th
Pros:
-Comes with additional tracks (I got 4 long straights, 2 curves, 2 s curves and 2 short. )
-Comes with it’s own monorail car (unless you connect it to tracks that attach to another station, then it’s just 1 car for all the tracks)
-Spawns possums/4hrs (just like the regular station) to help increase your blueprint count.
Cons:
-Pricey for just another station
-While the additional possums are nice, they’re not that significant in your overall blueprint need.
–No character interaction Conductor Homer has a task there (or the regular station)

Personal thought on the pieces…PASS. They’re not worth the donuts.

This is one of those…if you like it get it items. If you want the station and you think it looks cool pick it up. Otherwise pass. If you’re worried about getting another station, I can tell you it looks like more will be coming for free via future acts. So don’t get it just because you want another station. Personally, I’m passing on it. Just doesn’t have enough benefit for me to pick it up..
Freemium Take:
Again….stay away…stay far far away from this one. In my opinion, it’s just not worth those hard earned freemium donuts. There’s no real benefit to adding it to your town, other than having an additional station. And you’ll earn more stations as the event progresses. So in my mind, this is a complete freemium pass.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you as a premium player I’m passing on this one. Just not worth it to me. However, this IS a limited-time item. So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games.

Krusty’s Drive-Thru Monorail Station w/Additional Platform, Stairs, Awning (etc). If you got the Donuts (and the extra vacant space in your Springfield)? By all means … its just this long time Tapper has learned not to be lured by EA into making certain purchases (especially when we’re only in Part One of a Three Part Event). 😉
While I love the idea of a second station, this just doesn’t feel “canon” enough for me.
If I could stick it in Krustyland, I’d consider it, but as it is, I think I’ll pass.

I bought it and some extra parts but wouldn’t bother with the parts if I could rethink that.
The Krusty drive thru colour scheme is brighter than Krusty burgers. I placed a KB next to the Monorail station and the colours don’t match up very well.
Anyhoo…if you’re tossing up whether to get Krusty monorail station maybe decide first how many stations you want for your monorail.
I’d like 4 or 5 but there are only 4 atm. I don’t like the upcoming Tetanus Terminal so might have to store it if I can’t cover up the ugly.
I’d have got this if it came with Jesse Grass. He could have protested on top of it.
This would be fun to have, if I could put it in Krustyland – I mean, after all, what’s a major theme park without a monorail?!

Ever since they dropped this in the game I waited patiently for the SIB, I banged my head against the table every time there was a post not regarding it, Lil’Lisa’s Plant, Keychain winners, WIDICF Gorge.. not saying I don’t appreciate them, because I do. All I am saying is I thank you and my table thanks you. Now I think I should have my head examined :p

I’ve seen two other stations in one of my neighboreenos towns. They look pretty cool and would be worth waiting to see if they’re freemium. Sorry Krusty, not worth my precious few sprinkles.
Just a note that those friends definitely have modded games… only time will tell if new stations will be freemium or premium… I always lean towards the latter especially considering the KB one was for donuts.
The Krusty-Station is going to be my Springfield Heights Monorail. As soon as I have enough tracks to build two, that is. I would have liked a track going from Springfield to SH, but it looks like the Monorail can’t cross the mountains. Domage…
Aww damn, I could have sworn someone said it could, I was going to put the main one in SH and shot across the mountains to the Krusty one in a trashy part of town.
EA must have given every Brandine owner the next child. I got the second one but still have 28 days left on her pregnancy. Score!

So I bought this plus the additional pieces, but I can’t quite decide on how to arrange them. And since it’s a drive thru, is the monorail supposed to loop around the building, thus taking its passengers thru the drive thru or what? Anyone have pics on how they set theirs up or any suggestions? I’d appreciate any/all ideas on this one! Thnx!
The idea of the stations coming in parts is that you can be individual and no two will be the same, I’ve posted what I can find on the flickr page (linked top right on this page) but some people haven’t bought all the parts …hope this helps

I’d been waiting for this post. So glad I did. The extra track pieces were tempting, but I think it’s a fairly ugly station, honestly. And now that I know we will be getting another station in the future, it clinches the “no” for me! Thanks for this post! Über helpful!

Krusty Station is a cool addition to the Monotail. The possums are a big help in filling in the gaps of acquiring new rails rather than using the project board for points. It came in very handy when I only needed 200 points to acquire the next rail rather than using all 500-1600 points. Cause if you’re close to reaching the goal, whatever left overs you have, consider it gone, it doesn’t carry over to the next goal.
Obviously I love Krusty, like the building and coloring, more tracks + payout. Good purchase for me.
I’m a freemium player I bought 132 donuts for that.

b-in The begenning of the event i was panic and want a station and want more possums to be sure to finish to task before end of act 1
But now that you tell us that we can have free station in other act, i’m feeling that ive should spent my real cash for sometimes else. Too late now 🙁

aww..I wanted the Krusty station but I’ve been waiting on the SIB… I think since we have some free stations coming I’ll hold out a little longer before I pick it up.

Hi Alissa . Can’t make my mind up about this one .Really like the look of it but it is a lot of sprinkles . My query is – how much and what type of track pieces come with it ? Quick thought/question – As a new line, can the Krusty station be placed in Krusty land? I was on the fence before and am now leaning no, but if it could have its own monorail I would probably jump on it.

Not really. It’s more something you’d have to look at individually. A lot of premium purchases are personal choices too. Someone might want one character because it’s from their favorite episode, while someone else may want a different character.

I suggest buying the happy sumo with akira for a 100 donuts the first quest has a task for 10 Springfielders to eat questionable fugu and for akira to serve questionable fugu, all right here’s how it gets good so that task for Springfielders can be done by anyone takes 60 minuts and earns at a premium rate for all characters premium or not so all your characters can earn 107 cash and I think 32 exp an hour and as long as you never send akira on his task to serve fugu you can send all your Springfielders every hour on that task an earn at a considerable faster rate then you would only downside is akira can only do the questions task and one for 24 hours for me I have my news station , Cletus’s farm , radio station and stampy on 24 hours tasks every day anyways so he just join that so if don’t mind not doing the quest having it in your task menu for ever and can accept akira to only have a 24 hour task I think it’s the best buy and can tell you have not regretted one bit earn money and levels so quick witch in turns more bonuts from extra levels hope this helped

Thanks for the great idea. I thought EA dropped quest lines if they were not completed within a certain period. That probably only kicks in if no one has participated in the quest for a long enough period.
Yeah, I loved that, then I screwed up and accidentally sent him on his two hour task, nice while it lasted.
If that happens store the happy sumo to cancel his task to late for you but to anyone doing it currently

I like it, I placed it on the opposite side of my town from the other station so I have 2 monorails going through my town.
I bought it and its companion pieces. I got monorail fever.
I got the Krusty station as soon as it came out…the additional track was nice, and I have created an entire entertainment district with the station (plus KL stop, KL restaurant, and Noise Land so far). Homer can interact with this station for his Conductor task (a sign becomes illuminated, but that’s it). Overpriced, sure…but it looks good in context!

It’s awesome. I built a little station around it complete with 3 benches, set of stairs & 2 extensions. The event hasn’t been overly expensive to date (future doesn’t look too bad either). Great event so far.
