Where Did THAT Come From – Self-Reliant House

Woo to the hoo! Monorail, monorail, monorail! I know there’s been issues for tappers with the new event but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t super stoked for all the new goodness. Of course, with a new event in our silly lil game, we get new items that you may not have a clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but you just can’t pinpoint from where. That’s why Team Addicts decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

Well then, a hippy house.  But wait?  He lives in a recycling heap… hmmmmm…. I’m a big fan of houses in TSTO and for the cheap cost of 35 donuts, EA offered this solar-powered house as part of all the recycling stuff for our Springfields. But where does this house come from? Who lives there? What could it possibly have to do with the Best. Show. Ever. Let’s head off to the TV series and find it.

“Holidays of Future Passed” (S23:E9)

So this one is just a quick blip. In this future episode, we find the house towards the beginning.  While never called the self-reliant house, it’s where Lisa lives with her husband (the future comes up Milhouse!) and daughter Zia.

It’s apparently a recycling domicile inside too. Unfortunately it does nothing to reduce allergens like holly, mistletoe or the red parts of candy canes.

And that’s really it. A quick few seconds that has made it in to the game. In EA’s defense, this definitely fits in with all the recycling madness of the event and is a cool looking building for not too many donuts. As a bonus, Simpsons episodes set in the future are some of Alissa’s favorites. I wonder if EA is sucking up to her? Anywho… sound off in the comments and happy tapa-tapa-tapping.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. I just realised I had gained enough donuts to get this, so I did, I like it but it’s a shame there’s no funny sound effect when you tap on it.

  2. Self Reliant House (25 Donuts for a Premium House is good)! 🙂

Bart Simpson Screen of Death (why EA? totally ruining my Monorail Event is bad)! 🙁

  3. The mailbox made me think of the Jetsons 📪 🙂

  4. Help. I’m about to quit playing my favorite game. I can’t play more than 2 minutes before it freezes up. I have an A B & C game. It makes it nearly impossible to play or visit friends. I don’t have lots of time to waste on reloading game every 2 minutes. I’ve tried reinstalling game but it didn’t help. Anyone else having same issue. How do I contact ea? Thanks

  5. I hate the future episodes. It really bothers me that Lisa settled for Milhouse.

Also, when I started tapping this morning, my confirm donut spend was switched off if anyone wants to double check theirs.

    • The ‘Don’t Ask Me Again’ button is bigger than it appears and is really close to the line between it and the ‘Cancel’ button; I’m guessing what happens is people are assigning people in the Recycle shops (for example), overshooting into people already assigned, and ‘double-tapping’ (or the game is seeing a double-tap) “Don’t Ask Me Again’ and “Cancel’ at the same time when the ‘Spend Donut’ window pops up.

  6. So i bought dewey largo a few days ago but wasn’t happy with the purchase. So EA support removed it. Now Ihave a deweys quest stuck in my task book. Do you think they can remove it?

  7. I the car in the front lol

  8. coolllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  9. Great episode… If EA wanted they could make a Christmas event with only items from this episode

  10. I like the fence

  11. Will there be a future event…in the future!?

  12. I like Future Episodes too :p

I’m confused Wookie, are you saying you do not like Futuristic Epsiodes (or just the fact that Alissa likes them vocally more)?

maybe you like futuristic things as long as they take place LONG AGO :p

Pointless story: Yesterday I was at a thrift store and there was a Chewbacca figurine (kinda poorly done, almost laughable, in fact I did laugh at the painted eyes that looked a little cross) he was holding a crossbow but stud upon a Black sound box with the StarWars Logo and a yellow button. I pressed it and it made all his classic groans and growls (I laughed and pressed the button a number of times to hear all the verious noises he made). But in the end figured it’d just collect dust in my place while some kid might get really excited about it so I didn’t buy it. I almost bought it thinking I could mail it to you but figured you probably have one. Anyway, Thought of you Wook(ie)

Now, Back to the Future, wouldn’t this be a great event!? No, not Marty McFly Future; A Simpson’s Future event – but the next question would be which storyline would they go with, or would they mix them, would they do it for Halloween or Christmas or summer lull?? I know your not allowed to speculate about the Future. But if you think about The Future is where we (humanity) is going to spend the rest of our lives. [intentional Criswell/Ed Wood refrence]

the mailbox is in a diffrent spot, but maybe it is a flying/retractable mailbox that moves closer to the curb when in use. Does the Recycle symbol animate? Maybe I should be asking Alissa these things :p

    • He’s just trying to suck up to me since he said my town was awful 😉

    • I dig the future episodes but Lis loves them more I think. That figurine sounds awesome, I have a bunch of stuff but doesn’t sound like I have that one. As for a “future” event… I think it could be lots of fun. WHen they add items from the episodes, it means it might be in their heads. How about an original storyline a la back to the future. They could do “Bart and Homer’s Excellent Adventure” too… have Frink worried about the effects to space and time, all the old versions avoiding the new versions and vice versa. Cold be fun.

      • I’d honestly love to see the costumes from when they were younger. I need 70’s Homer, Marge, and Mr. Burns! Hopefully he’d get a shared task with Nixon!
