So here’s your official TSTO Addicts reminder…all new episode this Sunday, September 27th 2015, on FOX.  The season premiere is “Every Man’s Dream”, as I’m sure you’ve gathered from the recent episode tie-in.

So just what do the Simpsons have in store for us this week?

Here’s the episode information released from FOX:

Now before you start to panic about Homer and Marge….remember this video from earlier this year:

  1. I’m just going to comment on the episode. Apologies to the foreigners. Possible SPOILERS ahead.

I liked some parts, I think. Nothing offensive (such as utter lack of comedy or what have you), but maybe nothing really that stood out.

That tripped out dream Homer has has the new doggy, for almost a second. It was really short. I was really hoping that it would be as the game said, about having a pet that looks like the owner. Maybe a future episode.

As noted here previously, Lena Dunham was the guest star. Sorry…I barely know who that is. It was alluded to in script but really it seemed unrelated to the episode when it was mentioned. I like the character art on her, though. Would be sweet to get her in the game to run the Oedipus Rx shop. 🙂 Some joke at the very end seemed to have to do with the show Girls (written by Lena), I believe, but that was obviously lost on me, too.

BIG SPOILER HERE: I guess I was a bit disappointed with the “it was all a dream” aspect of the episode, which happened 3 or 4 times. I think, maybe if it happened like 20 times, and one of those times was with Moe, we’d have something hilarious. Dunno. So, it turns out Homer never had narcolepsy…but there ya go, that’s how it is in our games, now.

I guess these kinds of episodes must count as non-canon, so I don’t have the impetus to comment further because it doesn’t really matter in-world.

      1. It was Lena Dunham, who writes and stars in the HBO(?) show “Girls.” I think it was her character in that that we were seeing at the end.

  2. To all of those in the UK who are complaining about how long it will take before they see this episode, I understand.

I’m here in Ohio and I felt the same way about the shows Peep Show and The Fall.

  3. It does seem daft that the new season isn’t made available everywhere at the same time. In these days of globalised technology I think it’s crazy that companies (mainly entertainment companies) are putting up borders where everyone else is trying to pull them down.
I know they’re just looking after their contracts and protecting their copyright but there’s got to be a better way of doing it.

    1. Yeah, that’s silly of them. I would think they might have reason with dubbing, but not for Australia or England. *scratches head* Then it must have to do with local censorship. They must have to go through each episode with a fine toothed comb to see that they don’t offend anyone (except for Americans). (http://www.simpsoncrazy.com/ukcuts not comprehensive or up to date but gives an idea)

  4. I’m not excited because who knows how long it will take them to air season 27 in Australia they just finished with season 26 so might not be until next year unless something magical happens and they said it next week

  5. If you click the second Playable promotional it takes you on a wild ride. Multiple promotions, one after another. I did fast farward the Comic Con ones (since I’ve seen them before) but I suggest going through them all. I will not spoil it, but it’s worth going through them all.

Now, I do have a complaint within those multipacked promos they show a character in there, that after 58 game levels we still don’t have in our game. I’m not talking about some one spot character, No, this character has been on a number of episodes, That’s right, I’m talking about Julio. Come On EA!! Wait, did I also see Maggie?
