Turbo Tappin’ Springfield Heights: Heights Round 2 and Lodge a Complaint

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

So yesterday EA dropped part 2 to Springfield Heights into our little Springfields.  Of course we were all expecting Christmas to hit…BUT they did tease that Christmas would hit next week.  So this Heights addition is something to keep you busy tapping until Christmas hits (and no we don’t know what day Christmas will hit…).

There are two questlines as part of this new addition to Springfield Heights, and each questline will unlock new items/prizes.  So let’s take a look at the Turbo Tappin’ version of Springfield Heights and Lodge a Complaint…

Note: You will NOT see the new SH questline unless you’ve finished the first questline (up to Springfield Heights Pt. 9).  So if you’re not seeing it that’s probably why…

  1. I’m so thankful for this website. Especially for the Lodge a Complaint quest. I was able to be much more efficient producing the resources for each part of the quest by reading this and knowing what was coming up.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  2. So Number 1 has a task to make latte’s. Do any other characters have tasks to make Springfield Height items?

  3. Hello all, I am having a problem with this quest:Unfair Trade
    Number 1 starts

    Make Number 1 Control the Latte Market- 1hr,

    I do not have the latte market … Does anybody know what’s going on?
    Thank you 🙂

  4. So is this task permanent for Number 1? Awesome if it is!

  5. Was the Mountain Lodge originally designed to be placed in the mountains like the Springfield Heights tunnel?

    That would have been very cool.

  6. I HATE this one!!! Is there a way to simply not do a task and have it removed from your task bar?

  7. Also having trouble with that first task after placing Mt. Lodge. Its the “Unfair Trade” wuest where number 1 must control the latter market. From what you guys say, I need to purchase something that costs lattess except I see nothing in my entire stores now that have items that cost that. Am up against this dead end. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, please advise.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rich

    • Shouldn’t need anything to do that task, he just does it and earns more lattes.

    • Are your coffees maxed out at the coffee shop? If so, there’s your problem. Just spend some of them to make room for producing more (which is what number 1’s task will do).

    • Did you go to the Springfield Heights store? (If you don’t know how to get there, there are two ways… One is to swipe left on the winter store to see the next screen, which has the SH store on it. The other way is to tap the yellow arrow to expand the store and tap on the Springfield Heights icon there (top row, second from the end).) There are plenty of items in the SH store that you go buy for Lattes….

  8. I finally got the 50 awards.. almost done with this one. It’s taking forever!

  9. How many ornate pier tiles in total are there?

  10. HELP. I got the Mountain Lodge & the first job is Number 1 & it says “fewer latte.” It’s locked up & only an hour job. I was at part 9 then this job came up. How do I get it 2 unlock. Anyone else having this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!! Happy Tapping & a Merry Christmas 2 all my fellow players !!!

    • Spend some lattes somewhere, that will open it up. Number 1 will then take up residence in the mountain lodge.

    • Buy something using latte coffees in springfield heights so that your coffee shop is not fully stocked with 200 or more lattes. I bought a money tree for 15 lattes to give me space to do the mission on number 1 to earn more lattes. Bugged the hell out of me too trying to sort this one

  11. I’m glad I had filled up most of my S.H. resources after I got the Rich Texan but it still took some time with smithers tasks. I guess it pays to keep it filled but I wasn’t sure if they were going to ditch the S.H. Idea as it seemed like most people didn’t like it and there isn’t a lot of room. So hopefully new Celebrity character coming soon as well…..but bring on Winter

    • Yeah, I had all my resources filled up too as I hadn’t touched SH since the Halloween event started. But having 200 (or slightly more) of every resource from the get go really made me fly through the quest line with no significant lag whatsoever.

  12. Just in case it wasn’t clear from the Turbo Tappin’ above, the 1 hour quest for 15 coffee that unlocks for Number 1 after the lodge is completed is a permanent task! I just completed it, and checked his task list, and sure enough it was still there.

  13. Woohoo! Finally unlocked the Mountain Lodge. The building looks very nice. Glad it’s done and over before the Christmas event started.

  14. Looks like there is a glitch in Exclusive Resort – for Level 5 it requires 50 pills and 70 Ads to upgrade, but actually consumes only pills. Upgraded 7 of them so far and it did not deduct one advertisement for it.

  15. I’ve heard a few mentions of a hidden XP bonus for Springfield Heights buildings. Could someone link to the post about it? Thanks!

    • Just use the Search feature near the top of the page. The site-specific Google search it brings up is really quite helpful.

      P.S. There’s no separate article about it…the info is in an article about one of the types of original Springfield Heights buildings.

      • I, for one, wouldn’t mind another article about the “bonus” XP from the SH buildings. I took the time to dig everyone of those ugly, space-hogging eyesores out of storage upon hearing about this trick-and there was no XP bump. Do they all have to be completely upgraded? Does every side building/garage etc have to be out as well? Very confusing & time consuming…

        • Just placing them awards it…no side attachments required.

        • Why do you say there was no XP bump? Did you compare how much XP you were getting on duplicate item before and after placing the buildings? Because that’s the only way you’re gonna see it directly. If you mean that it didn’t increase the percent on the percentage amount you see along with the Conform-o-Meter, that’s because *that* percentage affects both XP and cash, whereas the hidden XP multiplier you get with the Springfield Heights buildings is exactly that – a HIDDEN XP multiplier! It only multiplies XP and the actual bonus percent isn’t displayed anywhere.

          As mentioned in several other comments in this posts thread, the only buildings need to be placed (don’t need to place any “add-ons”) and the don’t need to be upgraded.

          • That clears it up, I think… I was looking for my conform to go up. I kept placing & removing stuff looking for a % bump;) I wasnt thinking “hidden” in the literal sense, I was equating it to an “Easter Egg” like those tennis courts. Guess I’m pulling it all out of storage once again.

          • PS thanks again Sandra. I check out the posts(don’t usually have time to read comments)

            • You’re very welcome! 🙂

              I know reading through all of the comments can be very daunting, but there sometimes can be a wealth of good info in there. That’s one of the things that makes thus not just a great site, but a great community! 🙂

  16. Wait a sec, is that the lodge from The Shinning?

  17. Starting the task “Lodge a Complaint Pt. 3 – Make Smithers Plan Sophisticated Security” required only 75 smart devices in my game, not 100. Can anyone confirm?

  18. When will EA make Shelbyville apart of the game? If they can make it so you can go to another window (i.e. Krustyland) that would be cool!

    Anyone else thought about this??

  19. Not enjoying this one as don’t have enough coffee cups etc and I don’t think 6 people’s enough to earn them each time. Going to takings to complete I think

  20. I do wish that EA would make longer times with higher rewards available. The 30 seconds, two minutes, 8 minutes, etc make it a grind. I also wish they would make the buildings have payouts with higher payouts for higher levels. I know they have hidden bonuses but wish those were viewable too. I’m still not loving SH but think EA has the ability to make it enjoyable.

    • i agree, 30s 2min tasks where you have to generate tons to keep the longer tasks going are terrible concept for a mobile game, it drains battery and offers no pleasure only tedious and boring. on top of that, the whole springfield heights and rewards having basically nothing to do with simpsons anway

      • The thing is, Springfield Heights was designed (badly) to make you either play compulsively, or spend a bomb on donuts to get the unlocks. There was one guy in my friend list who cranked out donuts to reach the billion dollar mark in a week. I can’t imagine how much it cost him, but he quit immediately after.

        Just 3 days in, and I’m absolutely hating the grind already. I though EA learned from all the negative feedback with Heights, and implemented the Rail Yard tasks so that you only need one basic resource to craft others, not a whole hierarchy, and they come in 1/2/3 hour intervals. This is a step back, and it feels like flogging a dead horse for items that don’t even generate income.

        Now to be very fair, this update doesn’t involve quite as much grinding as the original release. But it’s still not fun, and I wish EA would just remodel the system to mimic the Rail Yard tasks, but with a different bunch of characters so there’s less overlaps.

        • It’s possible he’s a cheater. I have a couple of friends who buy every single item and I know they’re not buying doughnuts with real money. For example, they complete most events in 1 day, with everything maxed out. I have one friend with something like 30-40 krusty monorail stairs (which at 50 doughnuts a pop, they’re not cheap). Another tell-tale sign is if they have multiples of single-buy items, like the boardwalk fountain.

          • Just FYI, the boardwalk fountain is no longer a unique (single-buy) item.

          • I don’t think so. He has a really well-designed town, and normally he’s only slightly faster in getting event track prizes. But I guess he just went crazy buying donuts and spending them on SH power levelling, and quit the game when he realized just how much he spent. Considering that you need like 500 donuts for each level 5 building upgrade, he must have spent close to a thousand bucks.

    • I’d like to see them implement a way for one or two characters to be able to gather any of the resources when needed, like Jesse Grass does for the monorail resources. Foe example Homer could be moved from chairs to mats, etc, as needed.

  21. I submitted a post but it was not published. Anyway I was asking whether is there a need to buy all 10 resort condos given that I have already obtained Paris Hilton.

  22. In the marketing agency, hoe do unlock Carl’s Slot & Martins Slot?

    • You need to earn enough currency to do it. You also have to unlock the characters before them. (i believe skinner) They’ll only unlock in order…

  23. Exclusive resort needs yoga mats and ads to upgrade, …ornate pier needs ads, ….why am I here typing this, when I should be making ads & yoga mats? Bye. 🙂

    • I think it’s funny how when you tap the thumbs above LA bodyworks ….they all start heading off in different directions……. like they think they’ve got somewhere to go 🙂

    • You forgot to mention that ads require yoga mats. It’s a helluva lotuv yoga mats. Bye.

      • I know, I almost think I should buy Disco Stu just to have that premium character bonus for yoga mats, seeing as they’re needed so much now, but it’s a lot of donuts for a building and character I don’t really want.

  24. When I saw the new SH resort I thought “Wow that looks nice. I wish there was a real hotel like that.” There is… The Atlantis Palm Hotel in Dubai. rates start 600 a night btw that’s a whole lots of donuts.

  25. which buildings can you exceed the limit by storing? ccan you place more than the limit or does building more just leave extras in storage?

  26. Thank you for the walk through. Even though it is a bit of a grind, I’ve found that if you focus on the next item needed for Smithers task, you can get through the quest line fairly easily. And now because of the extra goodies and land, I want to redesign my Springfield (as in nuke) but I think I might wait till after the Xmas event.

  27. There doesn’t seem to have any motivation to keep buying new SH items like Resort Condo if there is no new real estate target to meet and no hidden XP percentage. Do we need 10 new resorts condo? The only motivation is the childish chase of the ranking in SH value. I am currently sixth in my list of 100 friends 🙂

  28. What’s with the messed up bit with the buildings, monorails and the whole town?? It’s an absolute mess!! Try and tap on an item and the items that r behind them show up and can’t set anything up without other buildings and fences overlapping!! I’m taking a lot of my town apart hoping it will help, and WHAT A MESS!! May as well BLOW UP THE TOWN and start over!! VERY DISCOURAGING!! Been going on for almost 2 Days!!

  29. Your notes say SH pt. 10 requires 15 trophies. Are you sure that’s correct? I have them but tapping Lindsay on the task section goes to land that requires MANY pills.

    • You need to unlock the land around it first. You can’t just unlock the plot of land on its own…you need a path to it. Just like every other building in SH you unlocked previously. (and yes I’m sure it’s 15 trophies..)

      • Thanks. I figured that out shortly after I posted. The problem was that when I tapped the task bar icon, the closest part of land I needed to unlock didn’t have the marketing building in view. That’s what confused me at first until I dragged over a bit.

  30. The continuation of the main questline seemed a bit abrupt. Ends with dialogue about the island. I can’t remember how the first chapter went, just that there were more sidequests to upgrade the buildings. Not with the new buildings this time.

    Someone had mentioned that upgrading the Exclusive Resort didn’t have a very good RE ROI. Just compare it to upgrading the Private Island, which gives millions. Even with the upgrade glitch (which only works with the XR and not the PI, I checked) it doesn’t really seem worth it to use resources to upgrade the XR. Basically 1.5mil x 10 (= 15mil) versus 18mil x 3 (= 55mil). Or simply, 20 pills + 30 ads gets you 1mil with one or 390k with the other. I hope they adjust this in the future. I think I’ll hold off upgrading XR for now (unless I run out of things to do).

    • RE ROI? XR? PI? English?

      • RE=Real Estate [Value] (I guessing forgot the V);
        ROI=Return On Investment (I.e., good return for the efforts put in);
        (The following were abbreviated from the full form, which were stated before use.)
        XR=Exclusive Resort;
        PI=Private Island;
        English=the language of the Angles.
