Here we are…Christmas Eve! Santa’s coming…tonight! Woohoo!
I know many of you will be spending today with your families or doing last minute shopping…so I thought it’d be a perfect time for an unexpected Christmas Eve Open Thread!
Chat about the event, Maggie joining our games, your Christmas plans…or anything else you can think of! Just no Add me requests…those should go here. And as always just keep it PG.

Dear Santa: I am a humble person, don’t ask for much, but I do ask this one thing. Please ensure tappers unlock more than 5-10 blocks of land at level 50+. Those that have very little land, with ALL buildings crammed together, and absolutely no spaces beside or behind, makes it a Where’s Waldo trying to find and/or tap on event stuff. Also, if it is not too much to ask, please have them design their towns enough so that they have either a few roads, or one rather long road. The same goes for this situation. Only two or three blocks of “road” and EVERY single dang character presides in that area. Trying to click on an event npc? Good luck, click on Homer, then Ned, then Marge, then Grandpa, can sit there for 10-20 minutes and still never hit the event npc that you need!
Haha yes, put some roads in your towns neighboreenos please! 🛣

Well, in case this site really is “closed” for tomorrow and I don’t have a chance to say it then, Merry Christmas to all of the Christian tappers here (and anyone else who chooses to celebrate it)! I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow, filled with good food and fellowship, and that Santa brings you what you wanted (at least the affordable stuff 😉 ). May there be peace on Earth, if not on that day, at least within our lifetime (not likely, but one can always hope…) and may the light of love shine on all, especially on our wonderful Addicts, Alissa, Bunny, and Wookiee, who make this site a wonderful place to hang out in year round!
Oh, and may there be a good discount donut deal from Gil for Christmas, since there’s a good Amazon Coin purchase AND rebate deals available through the 25th and I’d like to use some credit I have in my Amazo account to get a double-deal for donuts like I did last Christmas (I think)…the one and only time I bought more than a Scratch-Rs worth of donuts! 😉
Do you need Kindle to use amazon coins? I have the amazon app store on android. Never checked to see if TSTO is available compatible on there. Will you give me a quick rundown on those coins?
I don’t think you need a Kindle to get Amazon Coins, but I think the discount may only be for Kindle users. Basically, I buy Amazon Coins at a discount (llike $8.80 for 1,000 coins, even though 10 coins equal a dollar when you spend them). Then, when you use the coins to buy certain apps or in-app items, you get a percent of your coins rebated to you (when the deal is on….which is actually quite often). So, I ALWAYS use my Kindle to buy donuts, even if I’m gonna end up spending those donuts while I’m playing on my iPad.
I did a more detailed post of the deal I got last Christmas on the Discount Deals (or whatever it’s called) area of this site. That area doesn’t get a ton of comments, so it would be pretty easy for you to go back a couple of pages (maybe less) to find my comment from last year.

I hope Santa is good to everyone, happy 2015th(somethingth) Birthday to J.C. (Even if that isn’t his last name), hope you all get to share your time or love with your loved ones and tolerate the time with your aquantances and family (that you don’t really love). Eat all the cookies, snacks and goodies you want and worry about your New Years Resolution next year. Be greatful for your gifts and return and regift what you don’t want, and if there is something you wanted that you didn’t get than you should network and make richer friends next year 🙂

Does it seem harder to collect enough mistletoe in this act to keep moving on the main questline? I have completed the Exotic Petting Zoo and the Reindeer Burger Truck. I’m on level 1 of the Fortress of Lonelitude. I need 1,400 mistletoe to get the Chocolate Shoppe, which will take a long time. I am afraid I won’t complete the act in time.
Yep, EA has finely tuned this event so it is difficult to grind and power play your way through it.

EA is being a little mean by having both the Krusty Reindeer Burger Truck and the Fortress of Lonelitude require “Kooks” for upgrade tasks–AND requiring Cletus to do 4 x a four-hour task for today’s daily challenge. I do not have enough Kooks to go around! 🙁
OMG – I’m so glad you posted this! After Cletus finished his first round today, I completely forgot about that daily challenge and have had him recycling plastic for the rest of the day! Unfortunately, I won’t have time to do a second round today by the time he comes free again (and I don’t want to store his farm to free him from the recycling center, because I don’t want to lose the crop of Triffids that are almost ready for harvest).
Probably too late to help, but any reason not to store Plastics? You don’t lose your count, just unfinished jobs per normal.
Hmmm…I didn’t think you could store the recycling buildings, but, of course, now that I think of it, I’ll bet you can now…. Oh well – too late!
I do it often enough. Usually to send Hippie to help where he’s needed most instead of where my trigger finger sent him. It’s the only way to release Lisa from her 1h job.
I just store the Hippy’s “building” when I want to free him…no need to bump out the rest of the recyclers!
Totally. It’s just that I always start with him, so he’s the only one I kick out… I guess I should have said, too.
I actually ended up spending four donuts to speed up two of his daily-challenge tasks and ensure that it was all wrapped up before I went to bed. Ugh. But at least that bottleneck has passed and EA has done an update that brought back the act-one craftables. I now have the ski chalet! 🙂

land i still have plenty of… it’s the object count i need increased again. hit the new max object count the other night… it’s 8500 total objects.
I still have a fair amount but I still have the hotel coming this act and judging by the splash screen there’s a lot more in act 3. In act 2 alone the globe, station and elfcot were all space hogs

We are a having a great day so far! We have opened our Christmas Eve present, which every year is a new board game.
We will now spend the rest of the day playing games, watching The Snowman and eating cheese and crackers and fudge!
Then to finish off we will sit down with hot chocolate and watch The Polar Express and wait for Father Christmas to come!
I am so excited, I love our Christmas Eve traditions almost as much as Christmas day 😃
