I know many of you will be spending today with your families or doing last minute shopping…so I thought it’d be a perfect time for an unexpected Christmas Eve Open Thread!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all who are reading this (and even those who are not)! I just had an in-game update now. I’m not sure what it added, maybe snowfall? Perhaps bug fixes? Perhaps a treat that won’t be revealed until tomorrow?

Just got an update and the act 1 crafting items are back! The ski chalet, the igloo and all are back> Merry Christmas to all and I am glad for those that were wanting the chalet and sign.:)

Bescherung is done (i.e. everyone exchanged and unwrapped presents), the dogs have quieted down again, and I am sneaking in a little tapping time. Can’t wait to get Maggie! After placing the Moonshine Shack the Vengeance Quests started right away, shouldn’t be too long now.
How could it NOT be maggie in act three? Look at the splash page… The game icon… Just saying…

It is snowing at my home. (It doesn’t happen every year, and usually not for too long.) White Xmas, I suppose. I home y’all have something to enjoy in the coming days, whether a cool electronic, S.O. or kids, or just my company. (Hi! 🙋)
I’m so jealous…it’s so hot and humid here in New Jersey I had to turn on the ac! I grew up in Western Massachusetts, had a white Christmas every year. It just doesn’t feel as festive without some snow! Have a happy holiday!

I know what you mean! I was kinda sorry last night that we had removed the window AC from my bedroom…awakened hot several times (of couse, some of that is due to non-weather-related hot flashes, but they’re definitely exacerbated by the external warmth). But I’m happy to have the warm weather as long as it lasts, since, due to my current disability, I’m stuck wearing shorts when I go out, regardless of the temperature.
Merry Christmas every one and thank you addicts for all your hard work. It’s very nice to see the Hibberts setting a good example, holding hands and looking happy, rather than shouting at each other. Let’s all do that too this year.

We just got back from picking up packages at UPS, took the turkey out to finish thawing, and are going to watch Jurassic World tonight!
I’m making a nice plump turkey, roast potatoes, carrots, squash, corn, stuffing, apple pie and homemade turkey dripping gravey tomorrow. My mouth is already watering 😍
We didn’t have much money to buy anything before Christmas but my other half got a surprise bonus so we’re gonna do some belated Christmas gift buying on boxing day 😊
I hope all is well with everyone and you get to spend time with all your loved ones. And don’t forget to call your parents. This is my first year without my mom and I’d give anything just to hear her voice again.

I don’t know how that feels yet, but I worry a lot, what with my parents’ health problems (no amount of healthy eating really seems to assuage the tide). I just came back from visiting them. Yes she passed in May, simp. She loved Christmas as much as I do so it’s going to be very difficult not to see her or at least talk to her. I try not to dwell on it too much, and definitely don’t want to get into it too much here, if you understand.
And no I have not seen Inside Out, it’s on my list along with Frozen. Yes, yes I’m one of the only people on the planet who hasn’t seen Frozen, lol. Once it’s free on Netflix is when I usually get around to seeing things 😜

Hey All, Good Yule, Merry Christmas, Solstice Greetings, etc to everyone. I haven’t posted much at all for a long time but want to say thanks to everyone – Addicts crew and all my neighbors for a year of enjoyment and commiseration when the game snafus make it frustrating.
I recall there was a specific thread created, not too long ago, where we could thank neighbors, post compliments on town design, stuff like that. I can’t remember what it’s called and a search didn’t bring it up. Could someone post the link please? Thanks! I’d like to post there.
Thanks to everyone who’s dropped presents in my town, and I promise to reciprocate even if there’s a delay before I do so. I have family playing and it limits how many presents I have free for non-family members on a daily basis.
I like Sandra’s comment about how this community might be an anchor tomorrow for those without family and those who don’t celebrate Christmas. It can be a very lonely day, and this really is a community that shares good vibes.

This is just FYI for those Android users that need more donuts. I use Google Opinion Rewards to earn Google Play credit. Since 10/20/15, I’ve earned $12 in credit which I then spend on donuts. So, it’s another way to get donuts for those that haven’t tried to use it before. It’s very easy and quick (about only 5 survey questions max). Hope that helps.

Fortress of Choclitube, Fudge factory, Fireworks Kittens and Puppies factory, etc 😊🍫🍭🍰🍦🎂
I just blew 10 mil to start the 3 day build on the fortress of choclitude because it drips chocolate like the shoppe. Temporarily I have the chocolate shoppe next to the things unnecessary building, but it seems to go well there, so it may become permanent. Also like the look of colored picket fences in front of it.
I have just the one shop…. Maybe I’ll make the chocolate shoppe island.
I put it next to my chocolate factory .that’s the perfect place for it in my town.
I’ve got a theme park style area in my town and have put it there. This is where I put a lot of the event buildings that don’t fit easily into the main town.
No thoughts yet. I’m nearly running out of room again. Better buy those insular squares, hah. Anyways, I agree, it’s a difficult building. Might need it’s own block.
It’s going in my Santa’s Village Area.
Mine is situated next to the Gibgerbread Mansion. Both are surrounded by marshmallow trees, candy canes and the other candies. They’re both situated as a conveniently short walk from The Vast Waistband.
I already had a chocolate themed area. In my Springfield the tar pit is full of fudge and the oil pump is used to collect it so the factory can process it to smear on the doughnuts to be sold in the shop. The hole process is overseen by the corporate offices in the tower. I think I need to quit thinking about this game so much.
