So the final part of the Out with the Old questline hit early this morning…and along with the final part is a free gift from EA for the New Year!
NOTE: Fireworks are NOT the free gift. The fireworks are the icon representing the Out With the Old questline. See below for the gift….
You MUST have completed the first 3 parts of Out With the Old to get the gift from EA…you can find the walkthrough here.
First thing you’ll see is Lisa will start off the final part of Out with the Old and you’ll be awarded the New Year’s Ball…
It’s 3×3 in size…
WARNING If you tap on the ball it will fall to the ground with an animation…and essentially destroy the ball. And there’s no way from inside the game to reset it…BUT if you hard close and restart your game (or go to Krustyland or a Neighbor and come back), the ball will come back to life!
Now for the task to complete…

Lisa starts
Make the Simpsons Celebrate the New Year- x5 (if you have Maggie, less without her) 1hr, Earns $70, 17xp
And that’s it…that will finish the Out with the Old questline and give you a New Year’s present from EA!

I like the New Years quest line but, I HATE that the buildings are tap able with the Bears. I ended up Graffitying a person by error. I’m sorry 😞
What was the free gift at the end of the questline? I don’t believe I received anything.

We were watching the Memphis, Tennessee countdown (just happened to be the first one for our time zone we found), and their big guitar failed to drop at the end of the countdown. Then when it did finally go, it shuddered and jerked half way down and got stuck. I got my New Years Ball in game shortly after, so it seemed particularly fitting! XD glad to know it resets, I was worried I could only crash it once.
