Just a quick reminder that at
0800 GMT (3am EDT) tomorrow morning (1/19) Act 3 will officially end….
This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.
As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…
- Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 3 Acts.
- However, the questlines linked directly the the prizes you’ve won will remain. (so Baby Gerald’s etc)
- The event removal will require an app store update to fully remove it from your game. So don’t panic when 0800 GMT hits and the event isn’t out of your game…or you still see snow. It will require an app store update to remove everything. Usually those hit around 1-2pm (EST)
I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so… just know that ANY time after the 19th is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after the 19th and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.
So tap those last few bears and relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.

I am alittle upset that I was not able to upgrade the gingerbread house all the way, but oh well…. I also didn’t get the orphan children.

So pissed that bought the bear cave, and now they sell the bear as a seperate npc. -.-
Well i bought the bear npc, but that 100 donuts spent on the cave is lost for good… Sigh, stupid me…

Now comes the hardest part of any event. Deciding the right time to download the update. Should I try to get some more free donuts or do I want to get rid of the snow.

To me it’s a no brainer. Doughnuts! I won’t update until they force me, never do. Although I’m looking forward to getting rid of the snow. Afraid some of the designs I made with it will look crappy now.
i just discovered (after updating my son’s game) that you can visit your town with a different account and see your town without snow. doing that now until i hit another 4k pacifiers and update… which fortunately should be pretty soon.
A few of mine did. My 3d ice block design doesn’t work with bright green grass peaking through.

Just took down the event! I always forget how colorful this game is when it’s been covered in snow for a month. Played where’s Maggie too and got my donuts.
Did any previous count from finding Maggie apply… Or has anyone seen it reset to zero without regard to how man times out of three that you’d found her previously?

I cleared my third Maggie last night before I updated today. The timer did not clear or reset.
I liked the event a lot. Lots of nice new material and characters, and I’m really interested to see where they go with the story line. Overall, “Where’s Maggie?” has been working fine for me; the only two times I didn’t find her, she straight-up wasn’t being displayed, as I’d scrutinized the very building she was on (the second time, it didn’t even play her pacifier sound) and when it zoomed in after the timer was up, she only appeared when she stood up to grab the balloon. Still a bit buggy, but good overall.
If the Naughty/Nice game didn’t actually display peoples’ choices and trends, I think it would have been a disaster. The Act 2 story was a bit labor-intensive, I thought, and I’m sure a lot of players missed out because they just couldn’t log on often enough to grind through all those tedious upgrades. Still, it’ll be nice to move on. It’d be hilarious if, instead of just removing the snow and going back to normal, the next update just put us into a period of melting/thawing, so we’d be all slushy and muddy for a while. It’d be accurate, for sure! But I think I’m going to hold off on updating and see if I can squeeze one last Bonus Gift out of the act.

I was disappointed in the way Act 2 ended. Had I known all the items would be gone when the Maggie’s act started I would have crafted more. Usually items can still be crafted in act three. I feel like the Maggie quest was thrown into a Xmas event because they could not hint of a better act three that tied into act 1 and 2. Maggie should have been a separate level,quest.
To be fair 1) There was plenty of warning in-game and here on TSTO that crafting would end with Act II, and 2) It’s a Winter Event, not a Christmas one, and the season (and life) goes on long after the holidays are over.
Another great event! So many cool buildings and characters! But, a little tired of seeing Christmas deco. I’m ready for a mini V- day event.
I have a terrible memory so I only partly remember the first two acts already… But I liked the 3rd act with Maggie although there wasn’t as much to do in it. I thought the whole event was good, it was enough of a challenge without being a daily struggle
As much as I enjoyed the event, I can’t wait to be rid of the snow so that I can get back to redoing my town!!

Best event of 2016! Ok, that might not be saying much…best event of 2015! I’d put it up there with the Stonecutter event as my personal favorites. That said, after any long event, I’m ready for something new. But unless something else hits right away (and it doesn’t, usually) I’ll hold off on updating and see if I can get any more bonuts. I suppose those that update right away will be able to tell us if the Maggie game leaves with the event or not.
LOVE that we can still get those last min pacifiers! I want 3 more donuts! Mmmmmmm!
I’m trying for the last few tasty treats myself… VERRRRRY close to 4000 pacifiers AND one last try at finding Maggie for the bonus goodies there too! (That should happen this evening, unless EA flips the switch before tomorrow 🙂

This has been my favourite event hands down! Christmas is my favourite time of the year anyway but they really blew it out of the water with this one!! And then to have the Maggie event added on top of that! We got SO many buildings and characters, I finally got to build my zoo (just added a butterfly conservatory this morning), we got SNOW, bears, Gerald, really cool crafting items that I didn’t hate grinding for, and a few skins that became premium from last winter. I didn’t get a lot of things I wanted to return from previous events though, so that was my only complaint. But I finished each act and got all the craftables I wanted so it was a success for me😊 Now for Valentines Day! 😍💜💐💋🎀💘💝❤️💗🍾🌹
Hope the update fixes this weird graphical issue I’ve been having. Buildings that are further away are showing over the closer buildings, and characters walking on the roads appear to be UNDER the buildings they’re next to…
Ooh, I had that shortly after I started playing 2 years ago, and i’ve noticed it in a couple of friends towns recently. It’s really, really annoying, and it took a lot of pleasure out of the game for me. It took a couple of updates to fix it, but it did get fixed. Good luck, I hope your issue gets repaired quickly…and be sure to open a ticket with EA. They are quicker to fix things when a lot of people complain.
Loved this event, my favorite set of prizes so far. I’m only 500 pacifiers away from a round of bonuts so I hope we can keep it for a few more hours.

You know how there’s a boatload of donuts to buy, and a truckload? I think 250 donuts should be called a Barney.
Barney means trouble.
I don’t quite like the nice and naughty presents as I found out who are the ones that like to play win lose. Or maybe some could be playing naughty as they have not kept up and feels that the nice neighbours should accept them as being naughty?
Anyway I prefer Act 3, easily achievable and simple and no crafting is needed.
i kinda liked the nice and naughty gameplay… it helped me determine who will be cut next if/when i add new neighbors in the future. ✂

The app store says My phone is incompatible with the game even though it’s installed on my phone. I’m worried that if I delete the game I won’t be able to get it back
I’d contact EA and ask them what’s going on
