Love is in the air they say… or is it smog? I always get those two mixed up. Is there a love alert today? Do we have to keep the kids indoors? Is Cupid polluting the atmosphere? Even in the middle of a mini-event, I find myself wondering what is coming down the pike in our beloved game. Even after 2 years and 4 months of content, there’s still so much that could be added. Every once in a while, I put on my thinking cap and consider some options. Here’s what a Wookiee wants for VD. (Not VD lol)
As it’s officially February, TSTO experience makes a lot of us tappers expect something for Valentine’s Day. While only EA knows what they have in store, it’s always fun to guess. I should probably start by saying I wouldn’t be surprised to see this event have to do with the upcoming Valentine’s Day episode, “Love Is in the N2-O2-Ar-CO2-Ne-He-CH4” (S27:E13) airing on February 14th, 2016. It’s an episode involving Frink and the old folks of the Retirement Castle so you’re guess is as good as mine about what it would entail.
I came up with a ton of ideas previously (2014)… so many in fact I had to break them up into two parts (one/deux) but that never keeps me from having more. There’s not a ton of VD episodes to pick from but I thought of some stuff outside the regular Valentine’s Day options. I started off with a couple decorations.
Every VD is all about the things you should give your sweetheart. I’d love to see this billboard from “Homie the Clown” (S6:E15). Nothing says lovin like an English muffin.
I could go for the L’il Lisa or Majestic Marge from “Dangers on a Train” (S24:E22). It was one of the uber romantic things Homer did for his wife and would go nice with any mall set-up.
Of course, a lot of ideas often come to me when I am writing other posts. This entire WAWW stems from when I came across the Aprodite Inn from “Grampa vs. Sexual Inadequacy” (S6:E10). This definitely seems like a romantic building to come with a VD update.
This building got me to thinking about new fancy restaurants characters could eat at. Loving and eating seem synonymous to me lol. One idea is Amoré in “And Maggie Makes Three” (S6:E13). When the moon hits your eye like a big donut pie that’s Amoré. Also funny to pick this one since it’s not the romantic place Homer and Marge went on the night they conceived Maggie. They didn’t go to Chez Nous either, they went to Krusty Burger to dance while ordering in the drive-thru.
To me, fancy restaurants always have names in other languages. I love the name of this next one. How about Le Snotterie from “The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase” (S8:E24)? In fancy restaurants, they say some folks eats snails. Never done it because I always escar-go to other places but how about a restaurant named after a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc like The Enchanted Snail from “Moms I’d Like to Forget” (S22:E10)?
Speaking of Moe’s… how about an outdoor love tester for the game aka the Love-matic Grampa. Heck, I know people might hate me but a mini-game using the love tester could be fun too.
And lastly, Chuck Dukewagon’s. While not a very romantic destination… it was the restaurant shown in “Married to the Blob” (S25:E10) when Comic Book Guy first dated his precious Kumiko.
EA could bring this building and make it a combo in the triumphant return of Kumiko.
While we’re talking about romantic interests… I guess I could point out I did a whole post about TSTO Puppy Love for Bart and Lisa. My picks this year for characters that could include funny romance questlines are as follows:
Of all the characters I’d like to see romantically linked with Bartholomew J. Simpson, I always pine for Mary Wrestlemania Spuckler. I know the future seems to indicate he’ll end up elsewhere but to that I say Jenda, schmenda. Bart should wise up and love him some Mary. Sure she’s a Spuckler, but I think she’s the cat’s pajamas, the bee’s knees… The Bee’s Knees!
The Puppy Love post had a bunch of love interests for Lisa, but I can’t believe I didn’t think of the perfect pairing. Why not bring us Mr. Bergstrom from “Lisa’s Substitute” (S2:E19)?
Cupid skins for Maggie and Gerald could be fun. If not skins, at least a joint task.
It’s about time things came up Milhouse in the game and I’m still rooting for Samantha Stankey from “Bart’s Friend Falls in Love” (S3:E23).
My last pick is Maya from “Eeny Teeny Maya Moe” (S20:E16).
Even a homonculus troll like Moe needs some love now and again. Maya even could come with her cute little house.
My last thoughts are why not just completely go off the rails. Instead of a lovey dovey mess, just go literal and finally bring us Li’il Vicki Valentine and her dance studio.
How about pink shirts for everyone like in “Stark Raving Dad” (S3:E1)? We could get some sort of quest that included earning the Springfield Laundromat from “Sweet Seymour Skinner’s Baadasssss Song” (S5:E19).
Honestly, some may have already guessed why I’d really want anything from the pink shirt episode. Leon Kompowsky would definitely prove to me that EA loves us as much as a corporate entity can.
Well those are my ideas for Valentine’s Day 2016 in TSTO. Probably too late to effect whatever is headed our way but you never know when an idea or two will find their way into the game. Hal Roach would work too. It’s a rumored item that was expected once upon a time.
Stark Raving Dad is in the top 5 Simpsons of all time. Since Michael Jackson passed there’s no way the Leon Kompowsky character would be voiced. That’s also most likely why they haven’t given us any of the many amazing Phil Hartman characters from the early seasons.
I love the list.
All I ask for is that they give us something better than a rocket ship that just constantly crashes or gives literal garbage upon return.

What I would like to see, albeit not Valentine’s Day related, is dirt and sand squares in addition to the grass and pavement we can currently place. If EA really wants to go all out, throw in dirt roadways with the paved variety.
I am just too excited to see what all the new items to buy will be! Also, this year’s events are going to be awesome I think!
Maya and her tiny house would be amazing. She’s one of the best one episode characters. I like where she pretends to be a doll to mess with people. Could be an awesome task.
Several really good ideas, Wook! I’d really like to have the dance school and I think the idea of using the love tester somehow is a fun idea. I’d also like to have the laundromat, just because it would add another type of building to the town.
Wookie, what about Taffy From Homer Scissorhands? That was the episode where Lisa kissed Milhouse.
Taffy is a good idea too but whenever I think of Milhouse getting lovin, it’s always “Please say a big elementary school hello to Samantha Stinky!

Personally for me Valentines Day isn’t about roses, hearts and candy. It’s about zombies and the return of The Walking Dead. But I would love to see them have a mixture of new thing for the longer term players and older things for the newer players.
I’d be all for some zombies too.

All I want for VDay is for the old pink decorations to return. Pink bench, gazebo, fountain, etc. And like another commenter said, some new flowers/plants would be nice. Tunnel of love and the love pond/hammock would be welcome as well. I don’t care one way or the other about Kumiko (sorry y’all!) but if she was free I’d gladly add her to my town 😊
Hopefully it drops tomorrow or Wednesday, or at least a new level tomorrow. I feel like I’ve been at level 59 forever! My number one character I’d like to see with the new level is Sarah Wiggum. Pleeeease EA!! Ralph needs his mom!!

As much as i love new stuff, i would be just as contented to see the old stuff return for the tappers who are fairly new! I am happy with what i have and it gives me a chance to design which has been lacking for an eternity! I have much catching up to do LOL
Knowing the way EA does things lately, we’ll probably end up with a Cupid costume for baby Gerald or Maggie 😀
Samantha Stankey would be great. Been a while since I’ve seen that episode but wasn’t there an all girls school she got sent to at the end? That could be a great building for her to come with.
There could be a great 3way task with her and Millhouse kising and Bart next to them making sick faces

Has Jacques ever been in the game? I think he would be a great addition, since two of the threats to the Simpson marriage from Homer’s side (Lurleen and Mindy) are available and we already have two buildings available that are associated with Jacques (the bowling alley and Shorty’s).

He is not yet but definitely a good idea for VD also. Could be some fun dialogue and more use for the Bowlarama a lot of people recently purchased. This is why I love this community, some people see potential where I was completely blind.

So many great idea. What I really want is for whatever they pick to work in Krustyland. Sometimes the holiday items can be placed in both but I don’t think we’ve received any new decorations for Krustyland since last year’s pride event.
I personally hate this month, so I could care less what they add or don’t add. If it’s another character that’s fine, as long as the character comes with a building. I expect nothing at all this year just like last year they had only like 2 items or something, they added that bear with hearts I think and the ridiculous circus bear that goes around in a circle which had nothing to do with February what so ever.

I wish they had buzz aldrin as a character for deep space. I paid for the barney skin simple so id have a shuttle… Though I do like his demonstrate balance task as well. But I’d sooo pay for buzz to join my game.
A “Nerds in Love” theme makes a ton of sense given that this year’s Valentine’s episode revolved around Professor Frink finding romance. Gives them the perfect opportunity to bring back Kumiko along with exploring some other ideas (past romantic interests for Lisa, Milhouse, Principal Skinner, etc.)
Problem is, Frink is premium, so not everyone has him, making it hard for him to be the center of an event. I’d love to see a discounted, or even fremium, Frink (although that would cause a lot of whining in the comments)…he’s not a character that I’m particularly fond of, but I’d like to have him in my game because he’s used so frequently.
Mr. Bergstrom had a brief cameo appearance in “The Kid Is All Right”.
I remember that he put some hot butter on Lisa’s broccoli, and Marge said him, that she will notify Lisa about his visit.

I’d say I’m all in for a restaurant or three… if for no other reason than I’m just tired of the vast majority of new items always increasing vanity instead of… well, *any* of the other Conform-O-Categories. I mean, I’m maxed out anyway, but new level updates have long since stopped toppling my vanity category… whereas, that’s not always the case for the other categories.
I’d definitely like to see Kumiko back with our without a building. I’m always jealous when I see her in other towns. My CBG needs some love.

She’s one of the only old characters I really want.
I’d b happy with several types of new flowers and plants. Sure there have been new decos released but the lack of some new decorating colors has really dampened my enjoyment of fixing up my town.
The items above are good choices. Honestly haven’t been a big fan of Valentines Day in this game. Too many pink and heart themed items. Don’t hold well in the game. How many heart shaped plants do I need?
