The Valentine’s Day mini event hit our Springfield’s recently and with it arrive a whole bunch (of a couple) of Valentine’s Day themed prizes for our Springfields!
This event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes. For each of the first 5 parts of The Golden Age of Swingers you’ll have to earn 
via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part. The final prize you’ll unlock for this event is the one, the only..Mona Simpson!
So let’s take a look at this runaway Simpson and see what just happens when you unlock her in your Springfield…
Once you’ve completed The Golden Age of Swingers Pt. 5 and successfully earned the 15 you’ll automatically be awarded Mona!
She’s part of the Oldies Character Collection:
Once unlocked Mona does come with her own questline…something to keep the story/romance going for her and Grampa. Here’s a look at the Turbo Tappin’ version of her questline:

Once you’ve worked through the first 2 parts of the questline and start part 3 you should get the option to purchase Maude…
Mona also comes with a full set of fun tasks.

Have to see what EA decides to do
I have an issue I can’t place anymore items I get an error message that says I’ve got the maximum items the game allows and if I want to put items in storage to place a new item. This stinks! When they add more land will the I be able to add more items without selling/storage items? Have I come to the end of the game?
It’s to make sure your game doesn’t lock you out. The game can only handle so much at a time. Store some things away. Like if you have 200 trees, try to cut it in half. Etc
the max object count is 8500. unless they increase that, it doesn’t matter how much more land they add to the game, we’ll still be maxed out. unfortunately, there’s little we can do besides eliminate details here and there, like flowers, snapdragons, shrubs, fencing, etc. i been doing this for a while, and i’m running out of things i’m willing to scrap in my town, so i feel your pain. the game is only over if you want it to be though… or if you get tired of having your back up against the wall with the item count………….
Does anyone else get a little sad for Hugo when there’s a “Have Simpson Family Do A Thing” quest and he’s not allowed to do it?…
Maggie neither. I kinda forgot him being a Simpson since after Halloween.
I was able to use Maggie as Simpson for Mona and Becky but yeah sometimes even Abe doesn’t count!!
But the Simpson Family should at least be those that live in the Simpson home, Marge, Homer and their children. Hugo is still a Simpson! 😀
I was sad to notice too. Luckily, Mona counts as a Simpson. She works for sending Simpsons to host Becky for dinner along with Grandpa. Maggie worked for that task too.
I think there should be an Extended Simpson Family character group, like Braniacs or High-Rollers.
Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Grampa, Mona, Santa’s Little Helper, Hugo, Selma, Patty, Mrs. Bouvier, Ling and Herb Powell.
We can purchase MAUDE?!?!

Just a little heads up for anyone buying maude…you have to go into the inventory to get the fortune telling shop as only maude can be placed straight away. The two are separated in the game but only offered as a double purchase for 150 donuts.

I didn’t know Mona was dead. When she told Grandpa that he didn’t seem to understand, I thought she meant that he thought she was a ghost but she’s not.
Can the WDTCF include where she dies? (I’m sure it will.)
So, why is she person-like but Maude is ghost-like? Is Marvin actually dead despite a 24h task to prove he’s not? Are they ALL dead? You know, the nuclear explosion. Only Maggie survived. This has all been a delusional fantasy created in the mind of an orphaned infant?

She dies in the season nineteen episode “Mona Leaves-a.”
I accidentally stored Mona and now I can’t find her in my inventory.
I lost her. I am now chatting with an EA representative. But so far nothing.
the representative couldn’t help me. He said that a specialist will investigate it and email me when the problem is solved. I got 10 donuts though
It’s possible that she wasn’t put into a category, which would mean scrolling all the way to the end of your *main* inventory to find her. (This happened to the walking donut during Halloween.)
This also happened to me too. I accidentally stored Mona, but I couldn’t find her in the inventory, but after a long search, I finally found her. She’s apparently not catogorized as a “Character” in the inventory, she’s in the “General” part of the inventory, just keep swiping to the right until you find her. Mona will be somewhere near the last item in the stored inventory ( this will take some time if you have a lot of stuff in your inventory, just be patient and search carefully).
AAAARGH… Mona was busy for the last task in the questline, so I tried storing/unstoring her. Alas, she disappeared entirely, and Abe is about to spend this Valentine on his own. Any ideas?

I had that problem too at first. It was just that she wasn’t showing up in any of the shortcuts in the inventory. Like characters and such? But scroll through the entire inventory. She popped back up in mine. Hope it helps.
She came back, just as you said, in the general inventory! Just in time to join Abe with the birds. I’m glad she did; EA was telling me to reinstall, but I’m on vacation with limited bandwidth so that was not an option. Thank you!
Mona has disappeared from my game, I’ve tried the usual fixes. Has this happened with anyone else ? Any suggestions ? Contacting EA is my next step.
How do you access the ability to unlock Maude? I have Mona and have yet to see Maude in my store

If you don’t have King Homer’s skyscraper, Grampa does the same task at the retirement home instead (that’s what happened in my game).
Is there a “Should I buy” for Maude? I am leaning toward purchasing her.

The event was kind of a let down. Only five prizes and one is basically a double. I hope this doesn’t help confirm the tumors that the game is going to stop with new content and updates. This has been the first event that’s really bummed me out. Just expected a little bit more.

Coincidentally, Kindergarten Cop was on Starz tonight.
Why are people freaking out about the game ending? They’ve just given us more ways than ever to earn donuts, a huge winter event with tons of sought after content, MAGGIE, and people are panicking over EA pulling the plug? Calm down guys, they will keep the game going for as long as it is financially viable to do so. They could easily stretch out another year of content and characters. Especially if they only give us one level every few months. like they’ve been doing.
Same story I have seen and heard since 2013… here we are 3 years later and still a game. 😉
Also on the play store it’s Ea’s 4th highest grossing game. I don’t think that they would pull it.
It’s reminds me of “the end of the world” warnings, in my lifetime it should have ended over five times by now :p

They could keep it going for years. I’ve been watching all 27 seasons on random lately and there are so, so, so many things I want in my game even if it was only a flash in the pan on the show. And as a skin guy, I’d love to see more of those. They could be prizes in events but I’d even be happy to pay for certain jobs. I’d gladly give 125 doughnuts to acquire the ability for Sideshow Bob to putt golf balls into Bart’s mouth from either this Halloween or last year. The Simpson universe is almost as big as our own. They have to spread out those high demand characters though otherwise people will get bored. I’ve seen a few comments where people were disappointed with Becky, same thing when we got Desmond. Personally I love them all. Except#1. And even thought I Love Patrick Stewart I hate that he has no visual tasks. He spends all day every day hidden away.
I believe they’ve had a new level at last every other month (usually sequential months). It’s been 2 months without one. Maybe it means something or maybe it doesn’t.
For Monas task in part 3 you don’t have to have Maude.
Any updated SIB thoughts on Maude? Most of your negatives seemed to be about the price glitch.
Not really..the big con is she was free in the past now they’re trying to charge you for her. That’s always a big con to me…beyond that it’s not a bad price for the combo
Part of this event nearly made me cry. My grandpa actually did run his car in the garage, killing himself, because he was lonely and missed me grandma too much. I was 13. I just have to remember, this is only a game.

I had the same thing. I didn’t mind so much, though. I usually have that thing in storage, anyway.
Also wondering if people who don’t have it used a different building or what.
I pulled it out of storage for the questline, then put it back in. With other visual glitches, if I scroll around town, and back, they usually fix themselves. With this one it stayed, unless I went to KL or the friends page. Then sometimes the building would show up.
What guess the tower have to do with the vday questlines?
Never mind my comment. I wish I had the building. Makes more sense for gravity than the retirement castle.

Still happy about having her and now that we do it opens up various possabilities (not just the back from the dead characters, since this isn’t the first time and clearly not the last), I’m talking about event ideas.
Flashback Event or even Hippie event. She can be a suspect if they do a Who Shot Mr. Burns event. She can protest or sabotage a Millitary event.

She was definitely one of the most request characters ever, so I’m surprised they gave her away as a prize. They could have made big bucks from her so it makes me lover her even more. My OCD just wants her in the “The simpson Family” group though hahaha.
got a somewhat simple question. I figure I’m about to nuke my town so I just wanna make sure that the game can store all my stuff. I haven’t had a notice yet about having excess items yet. thanks.
Only thing I have seen is some report if they have MORE than 1000 of a particular item… it seems to not want to store any amount beyond that. So if you do, be cautious. Otherwise I have not noticed anything as of late causing issues in nuking. It is just a LONG process to put it all back. Lol

I know for sure when you nuke your town, anything you’re in the middle of doing, you’ll have to start over, such as the 90 days of growing corn.
The best time to nuke your town is in between events- preferably on the weekend if you have the time. You probably don’t want to be messing with it if you think a new update or event is about to be released- usually on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
