Hey, hey, hey, fellow Tappers!
Viva Las Springfield! The Casino Event has arrived in Springfield…and it’s full of Vegas inspired decorations, buildings and games!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Third Act you’re tasked with collecting Blue Chips (
) to unlock each prize!
The second Act 3 prize awarded at 23,600 (or +15,750 from Nero’s Palace Arch) is Nero’s Palace, the perfect extravagant place for compulsive gamblers.
So let’s take a closer look at this second prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 23,600 (or +15,750 from Nero’s Palace Arch), you’ll automatically be awarded Nero’s Palace and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield immediately or store it in your inventory for later. Remember, if you store it, you’ll have to go into your inventory to place it in Springfield later…
REALLY IMPORTANT: Nero’s Palace awards 240
. However, you MUST place it in your Springfield in order to get credit for 240. If you store it in your inventory immediately and don’t place in Springfield you won’t get credit for the Club Cards. You’ll get credit once you place it. So don’t think just because you stored it you’ll never get the Club Card Points. Just place it in Springfield and the points will be awarded to you.
Once placed in Springfield the casino has some dialogue that pops up:
Lisa: How appropriate there’s a casino named for a Roman emperor famed for his extravagance.
Fat Tony: It’s named after my uncle Nero, famed for his eggplant parmigiana.

Build Time: 6 hours
Earns: $150, 13xp/8hrs
Club Card Points: 240 when placed & built
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Consumerism +10
Where Can I Place It?: Grass/Pavement/Boardwalk/Pier
Who Can Use It?: Lou (3hr task: Security Work)
Animated?: It lights up, but no real animation to it. (lights are yellowish in the windows)

Reclusive Mr. Burns, Awarded at 55,150 (or +31,550 from Nero’s Palace). This is the next prize we’ll break down.

The palace is the prettiest building that also has placeable walls. I can’t think of the adjective that describes this, but it’s a good thing. Love people’s designs because of it.

I could barely tell it was animated. But with all the other buildings having such amazing lights, I’m very fine with a “subdued” casino.

I love this event!
I just need more time to buy more land, move, and re-arrange things a little.
I started putting all the casino stuff in Springfield Heights; little was I aware how many buildings I’d be getting!
That’s why EA gave us a strip of land at the east (right) side of Springfield, so I made a Las Vegas like “The Strip”.
It would be fun if we could blow up one of the casino’s. A nice job for the flying saucer from Kan and Kodos.
