The Good, The Bad & the Bandit…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

We’ve all hitched up our wagons and taken a trip out west with the new (ok week + old) Wild West Event that’s hit our Springfields!  With an event jam packed with General Stores, Prospectors, Springfielders going crazy for gold and bandits…it’s hard not to have (at least) some fun with this update!

One of the features with this event, as many events before, is tapping an unwanted character to earn extra event currency.  In this particular event our tappables are bandits.  Whether they’re hiding out in Flanders’ House, grabbing a Squishee at the Kwik-E-Mart or just roaming around your town these bad guy bandits must be stopped (tapped) in order to “save” your Springfield..and of course earn event currency to unlock all those Wild West themed prizes!

Of course things aren’t always what they seem in TSTO…with so many characters in many of our towns (especially if you’ve been playing as long as I have…) often times..well innocent Springfielders get the bandit treatment by Sky Finger.

So let’s consider this a PSA (Public Service Announcement) to prevent our innocent Springfielders from getting the Sky Finger punishment…

Wild West 2016 Prize Guide: Act 1, Prize 9

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Wild West is alive and well in our Springfields!  As the Wild West Event has hit our games and it’s full of old west inspired decorations, buildings & characters!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Clues (ico_wildwest_clue_md) to unlock each prize!

The ninth (and final) Act 1 prize  is awarded at 25,580ico_wildwest_clue_md is Wes Doobner & his Rib Hut, because the Old West needs a villain!

Should I Spend Donuts On the Bandit Hideout?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

YeeHaw!  The Wild West has arrived in our pocket-sized Springfields!  With bandits to tie up, guns to sling, gold to pan & gold ole’ Homer getting everyone all riled up! So bust open the vaults and grab those donuts because there are loads of new Wild West themed premium items in our stores!

Of course it wouldn’t be an EA Event without Gil popping in with an event themed offer, and this time is no different!  And with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Bandit Hideout to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding Gil’s latest offer to your Old West Springfield…

4/27 Housekeeping Notes: Wild West Event

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

So..first, there’s an update in the Goggle Play Store. So if you missed it, get it.  It’s helping some players deal with the General Store Glitch.

Second, as many of you are starting to finish your prize track and you’ve completed the main questline (by unlocking the Finale), you’re seeing another task popup called More Clues.

This is basically telling you to collect 1500 ico_wildwest_clue_md….

From what I’ve observed…this is NOT an opportunity for Bonuts.  This is just a task telling you to collect ico_wildwest_clue_md.  My guess is this is in place to remind you to do exchanges at the General Store to continue to unlock those prizes.

Again…this is NOT a chance for Bonuts.  It’s just another task…

If you’ve had something different popup offering you Bonuts please email me (TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com) with a screenshot.  I’ve tried it in 3 different games, no Bonuts.

This More Clues task will also go away after you’ve completed it once.

The only opportunity we see in Act 1 for Bonuts is via the General Store Trade Ins.  On Day 14 you’ll earn Bonuts.  And that’s the only thing we see giving away those free donuts.

Hopefully this clears up some confusion!  And I really hope the new patch helps many of you get back to playing!
