As many of you mentioned this morning…round two of St. Easter hit our games this morning. Out with St. Patrick’s Day and in with Easter.
While most of this is stuff from Easter’s past…there’s only 1 new premium item (a flag) I wanted to give you guys quick links to access previous Should I Buy posts for the items. So in case you missed it, here’s what’s available….

On a personal note…things are a little crazy right now. Not only is work crazy and we’re losing sleep because Riley is officially cutting her first tooth but we found out this morning we’ve got a family member in the hospital with emergency surgery. So needless to say i’m running around crazy. I’m going to attempt to get the Should I buy on the peacock lounge done tonight…but I may not get a chance to get it done. So bear with me…if it’s not up tonight I’ll do my best to have it before the weekend. I appreciate your patience! (and also for your patience with slow comment moderation today…)

Where is Shary Bobbins?!
Seriously 5 donuts for the Easter trees? They cost cash last year, and now they want 5 donuts for a tree? EA needs to stop over pricing everything it’s getting boring.
I was thinking the same thing – I couldn’t remember if they were in-game cash or donuts, until I checked my inventory and saw I had 34…
It’s sort of a jerk move on EA’s part, because newer players can’t get them unless they spend donuts.
How awesome would it be if you could swap stuff with other TSTO players!
EA is going a mental of late with the price of things, love how it’s easier to get donuts nowadays but I don’t want to pay crazy donuts for boring or a bit naff bits and pieces.
I was wondering too, does anyone else play the game on mute?
Always, unless I’m looking for Maggie. Every once in a while I turn it on and check out some NPC’s and whatnot but the one liners after a few years although funny have grown a little old. Like when making trash Cletus starts to get on my nerves. ‘I swear if you Hoot it up one more time I’m gonna rip out Yr 3 remaining teeth you freaking redneck.’
I keep forgetting to check out Nessie, I’ve heard it’s really cool.
I have to mute it most of the time; the sounds annoy everyone else around me.
And it would be pretty cool to have a trading system. I tend to buy up seasonal/event stuff and then later realize I have too many.
I can’t believe EA gave us these Easter items! No Shary Bobbins! No Father Sean! What was EA thinking?!

Hope Riley is doing better & everyone was able to get some rest! On a game note, so disappointed the Easter trees are costing donuts this year. Was so hoping to buy lots cuz I only bought a few last year. Lesson learned!

I laid out a whole field of the Easter eggs. When I was done it kinda reminded me of that movie Alien, only if the aliens had festively died their egg pods… which I suppose would’ve made that abandoned spaceship a little cheerier.
Oh, no! I hope everything turns out okay. Don’t worry too much about us…we’ll take care of one another until things quiet down (in Riley’s case, literally!).
Since Kimberly has become such a frequent contributor, maybe you should give her moderator permissions, so she could help with the moderating, too (if she’s interested/willing)?
Remember Kim has her own life and kids too… 😉

Why are the trees premium this year they weren’t last year. Glad i stocked up on them when they weren’t premium.
Premium items and yet with no bonus! I’m disappointed as the overwhelming majority of my bonus items are formerly free event decorations converted to premium items for new seasons.
I bought 50 Easter fence segments. Good to have in my inventory for possible future use.

PS Surgery went well…initially the info was a little sketchy but now everything seems ok. At least for now. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
Ontop of everything else it’s a Full Moon, hopefully tomorrow will be better. If you need sleep maybe you should buy some chloroform or something :p
lol it’s nothing new for us…it’s almost a holiday. Thanksgiving, Christmas and now Easter…someone was in the hospital or other issues going on. Wouldn’t be a holiday if this wasn’t the case.
My mother knew that feeling. I was always ill during December when I was young.
(My mother died at the right old age of almost 93 in her sleep)

Definitely agree with the rest, family first and foremost. As much as we hate to admit it, TSTO is just a game, it can wait. Just noticed though, the Easter Tree (premium) also came back. It’s a deco though so if I recall the usual info, if you like it, get it, if you don’t, don’t? lol
On a side note, since you also run the FG site, are we nicknaming Riley, Nibbler now? 😀 (not meaning to offend, since Nibbler is technically alien race…he is however one of the cutest characters on the show, so thought it fit 😉 )

Having unrelated to TSTO pc issues, so lost my main 3d animation program. Very frusterating as I have clients waiting for work to be done (like Bunny, still haven’t been able to complete her poster due to this issue lol)

Try frozen mini bagels. It will dissolve in her mouth as she sucks on it. Much tastier than plastic. Also you can cycle between tylenol and motrin (baby) since they are different pain medications with active ingredients. So if you start with tylenol, after two or three hours, you can give Riley the baby motrin. The medication won’t wear off. You can cycle through them both and not OD her. (Sorry if you didn’t want unsolicited advice)

Glad I still have 20 of the trees from last year, can’t believe they want donuts for them now. SMH.

Five donuts isn’t that much, if you can get by with one tree. However, to buy what I would personally consider to be “enough” to decorate with would be a different story. I have ten of them just around my “edible buildings,” for example.

That’s the highest concentration of them, but they also find a place at the ice cream shop and daycare center, and other pinkish or child-friendly buildings.
I’d probably want at least 2 to 4 at minimum for a single design, but maybe 1 just next to the daycare. It sucks, but so does having only 1 bear. 😉
Is this really all we get for Easter? Or will there at least be a mini event?

I was hoping that Father Sean would return, oh well, maybe another day 🙂 I can’t believe they made the easter trees premium this year. Last year they were cash, I ended up buying dozens because they can go in Krustyland. That really does suck for new players 🙁 They also don’t have that multicolored fence…. that also sucks because that can also be placed in Krustyland. Just goes to show that you have to snatch those cash items while you can!
For all those commenting on the trees,I do think it’s fair when previously purchasable by cash or freemium items cost donuts – it gives tribute to the longer term players, while still offering the items to newer players. Having said that, I’m not a fan of giving great deals to the newer players without some compensation to the longer term ones (i.e. if you’re going to offer a great character at a huge discount – then please give the ones who already have it a cool skin with a premium task, or a decoration, or something decent for free to help offset amount they paid initially.

I hope that the emergency surgery goes well and corrects whatever problems that there are, and that they heal quickly. As for the little curtain climber…..Baby Oragel was a Godsend when ours were teething. (Our older son cut all of his in pairs, and his canine teeth all at once!) When they are a numb gums, they are happy!! 😀
Oh we applied it like crazy last night…nothing lol I even gave her infant Tylenol (which she promptly spit back out at me) and that had little impact. She finally tired herself out from screaming and fell asleep on me. Which of course meant I didn’t sleep lol
I’ve heard wonders about those amber teething necklaces. Granted I’m not a mom so I have no idea about anything, but something to look into if all else fails 🙂 Hope things start calming down soon! 💜
Amber necklaces worked well for both of my kiddos, and Hyland’s Teething Tablets. But we might’ve lucked out with easy teething kids.
So far so good tonight…she actually went down about 20 minutes earlier than usual and has been out ever since. She’s never really be one to wake up in the middle of the night (even as a newborn in the NICU the nurses had to wake her to feed her) so I think last night really messed with her. She didn’t get her usual 12+ hrs of sleep so today she was just like “i’m done mom”. Well that and it was bath night, bath night always makes her sleepy.
So fingers crossed she’s stays asleep tonight. Poor little girl.
They’re not choking/strangulation hazards?
No, not really. You just need to buy the right size for the kiddo. Ideally, you want them short enough that they can’t go in the mouth. I’ve had two different kinds for the kiddos, one that had a pull-open fastener, and one that had a screw-close fastener. By far, I prefer the screw-close variety because they can’t remove them themselves. My kids wore them pretty constantly during teething times and we never had a safety issue.
For my daughter, in particular, they seemed very beneficial. She was super-fussy with her teeth, I put the necklace on her, and she was a happy camper within a few hours.

My 7year old has been wearing his amber necklace 24/7 since he was 6 months old. I actually got it for his eczema but he certainly had no problems with teething apart from rosey cheeks

“So bare with me…” I think that means “get naked” where as the “bear with me” is the “carry” or accomodate version of bear, like bearing children, or bearing a burden.
I think getting naked is a great idea either way. Bare bears are the best. Especially if they have pacifiers.

Seems like EA was rather lazy this Easter. Maybe that means they are hard at work at a new big update.
And don’t worry about us Alissa, family is more important! I know my sister did not have a fun time when her daughters teeth were comin in.
Bummed that they’re not offering Shary Bobbins.
Loved being able to pick up the float and the eggs, as well as a few extra fence sections to enclose my Easter area but a little disappointed that the trees are a premium item. As a freemium player, I just can’t justify spending donuts on something I already have 2 of, lol.
