Everyone’s favorite down on his luck salesman is back in Springfield! Yes, that’s right Old Gil has returned to our towns and this time he’s got an insane deal!
Yes, during this Superheroes Sequel Gil is pushing an insane asylum…because hey Felons need to go somewhere right?
This deal hit our games overnight, sorry I was busy snoozing…so let’s take a look at what happened while I was sleeping…
So when you first logged into your pocket sized Springfields this morning you may have noticed Gil waving his arms around (like he just don’t care) trying to get your attention. (me, me…ooo call on me!) ..kinda like this:
Either he’s trying to get your attention, or he’s moonlighting as a football ref.
Anyway….when you finally decide to tap on Old Gil he’ll give you his latest pitch for something you really don’t need, kinda like those people that call your house trying to get you to switch to “more affordable” energy…even though in the end you’ll pay 10x what you currently pay.
So now that I’ve gone completely off the rails…back to what Gil’s latest sales pitch…
Gil: Superheroes, today I have something that I am sure you will AB-SO-LU-TELY love!
Pie Man: A boatload of donuts on sale? (way to look out for us Addicts Pie Man)
Fallout Boy: A superhero’s utility belt?
Gil: No sorry, I was told not to do the first one ever again and the second would cost more to manufacture than I’m worth.

Gil: I have something much much better! What about the Springfield Home for the Criminally Different?!
Fallout Boy: The what? That doesn’t sound like something we’d love to have in Springfield.
Gil: It’s a lunatic asylum, and it’s EXACTLY what superheroes are looking for… Did I mention that in the last ten months escapes are up 150% and that 75% of staff members end up as residents and visa versa? How can you possibly beat that?
And if you refuse the deal…
Gil: Can’t blame you for not wanting to add some zip-zam-zoom to your gloomy life. Probably afraid of the dark corners and the constant sounds of screaming…
And if you accept…
Gil: Good doing business with you, pally. Everyone needs friends and you and these loonies are gonna end up fast ones.

-Spawns 1 group of “super” felons to battle every 4hrs. These “super” felons have a lifeline of 5 hearts.
-Milhouse will have a 2hr task there after the questline is over

-INSANELY Expensive
Final Thought:
Freemium or Premium:
Don’t waste your donuts on this one. It’s absurdly priced for what it is/does. You don’t need extra Felons in your town, you’ll unlock all of the prizes without this. (especially since the 3 groups that spawn from the Alley are more than enough for many of you with the heroes you have.)
Save your donuts, save your time…save your sanity. Avoid this one.
I know there are some of you who will buy this anyway…Ryan…but for the rest of you. Save your donuts. Don’t give into Gil. He’ll be ok if you skip this one….
Of course in the end we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do, the final decision is up to you. But I can tell you this is not in my Springfield, nor will it be in the near future. Whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our stores on June 29th….

Sorry but no. That is one of the crown jewels in my collection. The one I never got that always bugged me was Shockwave. I did get Reflector.

When you compare the two, our Calmwood seems way better than this new building. It should have been flipped and I have actually be troubled passing up on it.
I’d love an insane asylum in my Springfield, but, yeah, it’s simply too pricey for my (mostly) freemium blood. If they’d offered a character with it, I might have considered, but since not…

You don’t need it at all… I haven’t lost a single game and I unlocked the Coal guy last night. I’ve also crafted all the prizes. It’s really easy without having to bother with the ‘losing method’.

I really don’t need more felons but I won’t argue against bonuts since I’m fine with the prizes. But mostly u had a hole in my town that I absolutely couldn’t figure out what to do with it. This was perfect. My favorite Gil deal since the necronomicon. Wasn’t expecting ol Gil until act2 but whatever.

Anyways, back to the actual comment. I guess I agree with you but mostly because it’s not like the best looking or most iconic of buildings and for 200 donuts, sounds like a simple rejection…but if you’re a completionist — yes, sad.
Skipped with no hesitation here. Also… Am I the only person who is already getting nothing but “super felon” teams already? With at least one per round having it set so that the first two reauire opposite opponents to be useful? It’s really irritating, actually. The whole “send in one hero to lose and leave it with just one felon left to deal with later” thing that everyone is talking about… Not so much. Do not need more of this in my Springfield.
I’m guessing you’ve upgraded one or more of your heroes to level 5, which is why you’re getting stronger teams. I’ve left all mine on 4 & will upgrade later. Although I’ve finished all the prize unlocks & crafting, so I guess I can do it now as there’s not as much need to clear the felons as fast as I can.
Easy pass.

My game keeps requiring daily updates of over 1 gig daily. I contacted EA yesterday and they indicated that it’s a bug that they’re working on. I haven’t seen other people comment on this issue. It’s pretty annoying. Oh well!
Sounds like a memory issue with your device. Try making as much room as you can by getting photos off, removing unused apps etc. Try to get and keep at least 2 gigs free. This event is huge. Hope that helps. 🙂

Anyway, it’s a shame: I like the look. But I can’t part with 200 donuts when I just bought my Solar/Wind friends, and they are super cool…and you never know what else is around the corner…
I wish this building was half the price, and then I might buy it. Reminds me of Robosaurus…not worth my sprinkles.
Not that I was really considering getting it with that price tag, but from Gill’s description I was hoping that the felons would be even stronger with bigger rewards. I’m already getting three groups of five-star felons every four hours, and while I could handle more I don’t really see how a 25% increase adds even close to enough to justify the donuts.
I agree, this one’s an easy pass. It’s overpriced like most Gil deals and it doesn’t even really look that cool. Plus it seems redundant with the Calmwood Mental Hospital being in the game already.

I remember my hesitation when upgrading from 4 track to 8 track. For those of you here that don`t know what that is, it`s like the difference between pre-puberty and post-puberty. Things just get better.

I have glass fiber to my home, but I started with a 1200/1200 baud acoustic modem. Very fast at that moment, most others had a 300/300 baud or 75/1200
I remember the excitement of going from 300 to 1200 (it was the difference between being able to read one word at a time vs. being able to read one sentence at a time) and then, later, to 2400, which (wow!) displayed a whole page at a time! (Keep in mind, this was pretty much all text then.)
Now I get impatient when a page full of images, video, audio, etc., takes more than a second or two to load, lol!
Gotta love that screech, squeal or whatever sound it is. Ah the good old days lol

I agree it’s stupidly expensive and should have came with at least one character or something. Would have made it a little better. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.

Hey, my claim to fame is my OCD, don’t take that from me! And yes this is one of those things I bought right before I went to sleep so when I woke up for a brief second I was like ‘oh cool, where did that come from?’ I have no regrets, it fit in perfectly.

Sometimes I wonder if these Gil deals would be received better if the prices were more reasonable. This is just a completely unrealistic amount of donuts for something that’s not needed at all for most people.
I really think it’s meant for people like me. Now that doughnuts are a dime a dozen they have to make revenue somewhere. Even at 100 doughnuts I think without a character most would still pass.
Personally I love Gil. Yeah they’re expensive but I love this, the tailgate, the necronomicon, Mars colony, Notre Dame. They really add some flavor. It’s like truffles with food, yeah they cost way too much but oh how they enhance the whole experience.

I love of the Gil anti-deals that are everything but a deal. I built a nice movie set with the Mars colony and the tailgate makes my tapball/football stadium awesome. I made a crazy korner with the asylum and calmwood. It fit perfect

Yeah, considering they’re mostly meant to be short term impulse buy items, I don’t understand the strategy behind overpricing them either. It seems like they’d do better getting more people to buy them at a lower price than a few people at the higher price. Especially since they seem to rarely ever bring the Gil deal items back.
These are targeted at whales. Just like limited edition merchandise. If they priced it low, it cheapened it’s perceived value. I once in a while bought some of these deals to pamper myself. Like the German hotdog joint girl, the Xmas glass globe, notre dame church and now this.
