Robobot asked if he could write another post for us, so I said sure..come up with your own idea, give us your opinions on and and we’ll see what happens! Well he came up with a list of his ideas for future Events in TSTO!
Love em or hate em, Events seem to be popup rapid fire these days…and everyone has their own opinion about them. And here’s Robobot’s thoughts about what the future could bring for Events in TSTO…

Hey Tappers! I’m back on Addicts again, writing a post telling you, my ideas for Events. (So take out Your Notepads EA)
So My First Idea for a Event is a Wizarding/ Magical Mini Event. The Free Skins would be a Angelica Button Skin for Lisa and a Headmaster Greystash Skin for Homer.
The Premium Character would be a Character Building Combo, that would Cost 110 Donuts. It would include the Bookachinos Book Store, and T.R. Francis.
Maybe, They could also add a Lord Montymort Skin for Burns, A Slithers Skin for Smithers, a Wizkid Skin for Bart, and A Reoffering of the Frog Prince,Wizard Martin, and Wizard Marge. (I would also love to have Kid Harry Potter as a Character)
Angelica Button Lisa, Wizkid Bart , and Kid Harry Potter would be in the Wizkid Collection, T.R Francis would be in the More Business Owners Collection, or in the More Oddballs Collection, or in a new “Authors” Collection. The Event Currency would be Wizkid Wands. I even made up Unlock Messages for The Characters.
Angelica Button Lisa: I’m like a Girl Harry Potter!
Greystash Homer: I tried to shave, it just grew back.
T.R. Francis: My writers say the next book is the best yet!
Wizkid Bart: My Enchanted Dog ate my homework.
Kid Harry Potter: I keep telling you, it’s Brimstone!
Lord Montymort: My Enchanted Shin!
Slithers: Montymorts got more Wicked Witchery than Stevie Nicks!
Possible Buildings and Decorations Include:
The Springwarts School Of Magicry (Building)
The Hourglass of Sandy Dune (Decoration)
Lord Montymort’s Lair (Building)
The Dragon King’s Trundle Bed (Decoration)
My Next Idea for a Event is a Summer Camp Event, involving Kid Versions of Existing Characters, like, Kid Homer. (Note, all Kid Versions of existing Characters are their own character)
Kid Homer, Kid Marge, Kid Ned, Kid Burns, Kid Barney, Kid Lenny and Carl, Kid Moe, Kid Wiggum, Kid Comic Book Guy, Kid Frink, Kid Helen Lovejoy, Kid Fat Tony, and Teen Patty and Selma would be available as their own Character. (Caused by Time Anomaly, caused by Homer/Gerald blowing up the town.)
Unlock Messages:
Kid Homer: I’ll look like What?!
Kid Marge: My Voice runs in the Family.
Kid Barney: I wonder what Mom’s Beer tastes like…
Kid Ned: I’m Prune Tracy!
Kid Mr. Burns: Bobo!

My Next Idea, isn’t really a event, it’s more of a Gil Deal/Summer Sale, it involves Gil Selling a Upgradable Version of The Simpsons Swimming Pool, and The Gil Deal would be released in the Summer.
The Simpsons would all have Premium Animated Swimming Jobs there, and the Pool would cost 160 Donuts.
Also, A Pool Mobile Decoration would be available for 50 Donuts, and would have a Animated job for Otto, and a Bonus.

I personally would like a Harry Potter game in the style of Tapped Out but if not then a take the mickey event would be cool.
I love the idea of an upgradeable Simpson pool with some kind of Martin losing his swim shorts mini game … can you tap away all of his swim shorts on 30 seconds!
Here’s two more cents from me.
I would like EA to put a cap of no more than 30 days on any future events. This last event event was , what, 40 days? Too long and tedious.
Also- since there will be no more new levels, our opportunities to get more legacy characters is nil. It would be nice to be able to get more legacy characters in the events. When I say “legacy” think of the characters that we have been voting on every couple of weeks. Think: rabbi Krustofski, Wendell, etc, etc. It’s nice to get new characters like Charcoal Briquette, Dr. Crab, etc. But I would hardly call these characters core parts of the Simpsons universe.
It’s not so much an event but a yard sale for all those things I don’t want but can’t sell in my inventory. It would be good to place them with say a yard sale ticket floating above them then any friends can buy them, even for a nominal price, first come first served. A good way to pick up items you previously missed or wanted more of. Probably a nightmare to organise though!

I have to say it — and the Simpsons writers know this; they will have a Pokemon Go parody event.
Mark my words.
It took a long time for Clash of Clans to be parodied so I hope you’re wrong but time will tell.

Springfield turns to Candyland or whatever it’s called where Homer is running around eating lamp posts and biting buildings because everything turns to candy. We could change building skins.
And I agree with Sillyboy, I’m getting tired of tapping baddies. I get the game is called Tapped Out but there is too much tapping. Especially when we are high levels and have tons of open land. Please EA add a tap all button that costs money to tap all character thumbs and building taxes that unlocks at a high level to save our fingers, wrists, and arms from all the excessive finger swiping and tapping. Pretty please.
One more idea… What about a fishing event where we have boats in the ocean and river and we cast lines and get bait etc and we’re trying to catch that big massive fish that Homer was after when him and Marge went to the marriage counselling camp or whatever it was. Can’t remember the fish’s name. That might be cool.
General Sherman
I have been begging for General Sherman and catfish lake for a long time. If they add a task where homer is pulled around the lake by Gnl. Sherman,I would drop some serious donuts on it.
I’d like a soapbox derby event. We could race the Honor Roller, Roadkill2000 and Lil, Lightning
I just stayed in a hotel with a fishing lake and the first fish I saw was giant!!!! Unfortunately my kids missed seeing it so we spent the next hour walking around the lake trying catch a glimpse again. As we were doing this I kept thinking of that episode and giggling to myself!
Now that the monorail has made a comeback, I would like to see Lady Gaga and her train!
Also, I want an event based on the Simpsons Movie 🙂
Yes yes yes to future events of…
– Wizarding/Potter
– Military/Navy
– Summer Camp
– Airport mini event with planes, hanger and airport
– Jazz/music Festival
– Current adults kid versions
– Detective/Spy event (we need to find clues and figure out whodunnit) Sherlock type stuff
– What about era events like 50’s, 70’s, 80’s with buildings from back then and character skins
– Gangster event like Dick Tracy Al Capone type stuff with old cars and maybe prohibition. Barney, Moe and Homer would have to put a stop to that
– Nighttime in Springfield events
– Weather event with rain, thunder, tornados etc. Maybe something like the movie Twister where we have to try to place a device to end the dangerous weather
NOOOO, please, NOOOO to…
– Shelbyville (our games are already huge, don’t add a crappy element added onto the side of Springfield that requires any more space)
– Anything to do with Springfield Heights
– Krustyland
– Futurama (ewwww)
One last thing… I would request that Springfield Heights be a fast travel like Krustyland instead of next to Springfield taking up tons of game space. If you must add Shelbyville EA please make it a fast travel like Krustyland too. Springfield is the star of the show, not these other places. I would rather delete those places to make room for cooler animations and space in Springfield. That’s just me…

Absolutely loving the fact that there are gaps between events (sometimes). I love his game but don’t want to HAVE to play every day of every week. So nice to have some cool down time for a few days and then come back refreshed and ready for another event. TQFS has become tiresome imo due to constant events that are often impossible to keep up with… TSTO is still fun as it is playable for all and less hurried.
As for the future I hope they are able to keep it going, even if just for a few events a year. Some good ideas are listed in this post
I like the summer camp idea even if it dealt with the current kids in summer camp. My thoughts on future events are:
– Olympic/ Brazil/ summer games possibly starting next week and set to the opening ceremonies (fingers crossed)
– An addition to Springfield heights. Like it or not they seem to be pushing the game play there a lot
– Shelbyvile possibly tied into Springfield heights
I like the idea from others about a military event maybe for September.

Great post! I really like the wizard idea.
The thing I would most like to see is a different formula for any future event. The formula that EA has been using for every event has become old and tired. I don’t think I need to go into any details. Everyone knows what I’m talking about.
How about we come up for a new formula for an event, rather than the story and content?
Here’s an idea. No more events that adhere to the three act formula. I liked certain aspects of the Stone Cutter event. I like the idea of completing tasks for prizes. I’m tired of having to search for criminals, and other characters. Tappa, tappa, tappa. Ugh! Give me a break already!
The problem with winning prizes merely by tapping a lot of roaming baddies is that it takes no skill. It’s mind numbingly dull and tedious. There’s no strategy involved. It’s just a matter of spending enough time on it.
I much rather like the idea of completing tasks, and solving puzzles. Something that requires a little logic, planning, and time management. That’s what I would like.

Just thought of this I now the best sharps are a minor task utility I think we would get a mini quests out of this.
If we are talking an event then it needs to be a big story line I like the fighting hell fish idea a day we could follow the plot of,the show hunting for the missing treasure linking it to Homer naval reserve storyline would work as well..

I like the Wizard idea as long as they combine it with a Magician event (I keep hoping for Sven Golly, Ernst and Gunter). There is so much they could do, I’ve been postponing writing a post about it all myself.
I’ve been hoping for a Camping event but oddly didn’t take into consideration of the young Homer camping episodes (I just picture the one where he has the eye patch). I would like a toddler event (younger versions of our favorite characters) as mentioned in a Throwback S1 E13 (that someone recently posted) :p
The pool, I think we can have a heat wave event, there are plenty of skins of characters in shorts, hawiian shirts, bathingsuits *Barney singing to the tune of “I dream of Jeanie”* “doo do, doo doo, do do do” :p
But I think the message that was released at the takedown of the Superhero event has some interesting hints to other things, and with the OS Update warning for August 16th I suspect EA has something big in-Store for us 😉
Wow Robobot! I love every one of your event ideas. Especially, the pool with animated jobs for everyone. EA should definitely collab. wIth you. I am already making space for all of the summer camps with kid skins. The Wizarding Event needs to happen NOW! I want that hissing Slithers – Smithers Snake skin. You are a true TSTO addict.
Those are some good ideas. Although I’m not into fantasy stuff (it sounds contradictory since it’s a cartoon lol), I like the idea of the wizard stuff.
The only event I would add would be some university event. It should include Springfield U buildings, the dean & the nerds, and even a SU skin for Homer.
I agree. Love these ideas. But the College event with the Nerds, Sir Oinks-A-Lot, the Dean, the kicker, and others from the various episodes has always been my ideal event.
My two cents on potential events is for EA to take a step back and ignore content and focus on gameplay. Having specific items can be fun, especially if I’ve been expecting them for a while but after you’ve played for a few years, you realize that every single item is on its way, some will just arrive sooner than others. It’s been ___# years and still no _________? Wait a while. Oh, you’ve waited as long as you can? Take a deep breath and wait longer. The item is coming.
Gameplay is where the biggest event issues have been turning up. Figure out how to re-“social”-ize the social challenges. Create challenges that don’t involve losing as often as possible before the delayed win (maybe just switch the words “win” and “loss” in the programming?). Also, I love the idea of having a really, really, really hard to get prize…but then it got easy. Maybe imagine a prize that the top tenth of the 99th percentile of players can reach. Now make it so difficult that only half of THOSE players can get it. Now we’re talking challenging. You make the gameplay enjoyable again, then the event can be about law mowers or dust mites and it will still rock!!!
The One Week Wonder Films building in the last event was originally going to be very hard to get since it required you to visit friends every day of the event to earn enough points and you couldn’t buy your way to it with donuts. But then they changed it by requiring less points which made it a lot easier. My guess is because people complained. Really hard to win prizes would be fun for very dedicated players with lots of free time but the majority who play more casually probably won’t like them.

I would love to have a military event. We need Fort Fragg, Springfield Naval Reserve Base, the USS Springfield, the submarine, more attack choppers and fighters. Homer and his gang would have tasks on the sub. Grampa would have his Flying Hellfish graveyard, war monuments, and other war relics. The kids would go to bootcamp, Bart shooting down Skinner’s car. Haw haw!

I like this idea a lot. Really want the Hellfish monument. You could put it by the sea and when you touch it it beams out on the ocean.
The only thing I would not like about an event like this would be the writing of dialogue that would go along with it would inevitably be nothing but a big military/USA/ patriotism mocking and bashing.

These are pretty interesting ideas, I particularly like the summer camp idea the best!
I’ve been thinking recently that I’d love to see a Hollywood event, mainly sparked by the One Week Wonder prize! But I think it’d be a nice event, with the possibility of having celebrity characters (I do realise this is perhaps a pipe dream lol)!
Another pipe dream would be a Futurama event, I just love the idea of having those characters live on in our game, but I know there’s probably a bunch legal stuff behind it all so it’ll never happen 🙁 one can dream!
great ideas I love them. I am thinking they should also release a quick college event where homer goes to college and we get the 3 nerds he bunks with plus we get the dean and some mascots, maybe some Shelbyville college rivals.
I have wanted the pool mobile for awhile. I’m surprised they haven’t realesed it already.
Also like the idea of the Simpsons swimming pool. There could be a joint task of Marge and Homer skinny dipping. It was in the episode, I’m not a perv.
