Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Americatown and Sailor Kumiko? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Japan inspired combo to your Springfield…

I like this combo. I like the design of Americatown & love the fact that Ralph has a permanent task there. Also the questline that comes with it is amusing. As far as Sailor Kumiko goes, it’s a nice throw in with this one. An added bonus is that Sailor Kumiko can earn double event currency at the airport…the only character to do so. Premium players, pick this one up. Especially if you don’t already have Kumiko…
Freemium:
Freemium players this is one of those combos I’d spend my donuts on if I don’t already have Kumiko. She’s only appeared in our games once 3 years ago and that was it. So here’s your chance to grab her if you don’t already have her. Plus you’ll still get the added benefit of having the Sailor Kumiko costume to help you earn more event currency. So if you don’t have Kumiko I’d pick this one up.
However, if you have Kumiko & you’re a freemium player I’d think twice on this one. It is a high price to pay for a building/costume combo. So to that end, I’d pass. (if you have Kumiko)
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’ve picked this combo up (and I already had Kumiko from 2014). Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores soon. Whatever you decide, So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

I bought the bundle, but there’s no quest line for Kumiko or Sailor Kumiko. Is this a glitch?
No there is no questline for either at the moment
I already had Kumiko so this was an easy pass for me. I don’t really care for the look of the building or the outfit, so saving my donuts for future offers.

I had kumiko when she first came around, but picked up the costume anyway. Is there no quest line associated with the sailor skin?
Pass. I already own, I think I’ve been playing since the game first launched, don’t know if there’s any well to tell? For me just too much money for a skin & building. I was very happy to spend all my 🍩🍩🍩 on the Valentines box 😊😊😊

I picked her up immediately with no hesitation. I’ve been wanting her for AGES. So glad they brought her back. Now CBG can have a date for Valentines. 😉
I picked up Sailor Kumiko immediately. I’ve always wanted her, and the deal was too good to pass up. Plus, she earns double event currency, which seems to be harder come by in this event.
Oddly, a quest line with Akira started when I bought Sailor Kumiko, but then disappeared after a couple of days. I guess he got tired of waiting for Kumiko, who is a busy world traveler.
Have you checked that cardboard box? They put old quest lines there, so maybe that’s where they put yours after a few days of inactivity.
Thanks for the tip! I checked, but there was no box with her quest. I’ve seen that before when I had too many quests during an event, but not this time 🙁
Instant purchase for me. I had been waiting for them to bring back Kumko since I started playing and the outfit/building are a nice bonus. The building actually fits in pretty well with my western/pioneer section of town.
Not a big fan of the building but I had to get Kumiko. Was an immediate buy for me.
Got Kumiko and Brandine within days of each other, very pleased by that.

Got her immediately in my A town and even KEM farmed for her in one of my B towns, so i could have her there as well. Great character, fitting cosplay costume, so really happy. The building is ugly, but that is fine.
175 donuts was a lot to pay, but i have no regrets. Thankfully i had just restocked donuts a few days earlier with some Google Opinions credits.
Can’t wait for the Japan act to start soon.
I’m a freemium with Kamuko, I had enough donuts to buy this one, and have a few left over, not enough to get anything though. I’m glad I passed on it! There’s so much more coming up, i wanted to get something else that looks cool. What I DID get was Le Krusty or whatever it was called. I love the look of that building. Also, I don’t really like the way America town looks, I find it too fusion/confusion, I wouldn’t know where to put it.

It is a shame she isn’t voiced.
There seems to be far too many characters that aren’t voiced, which is a real shame. A big part of the pleasure of having new characters is hearing their funny sayings; therefore, when EA don’t voice them, all I can hear is EA thumbing their nose at us with the iconic “Haw-haw!”
I know most tappers like voiced characters, but I play with the sound off because it annoys me when they talk over each other. I used to turn the sound on when finding Maggie, but I’ve experimented & there is no sucking sound any more for finding her, so that’s useless 😐
Actually, it’s weird. I still get the sucking sound on my phone, but not on my tablet, so I try to only find Maggie on my phone.

I think the mish mash represents us very well…lots of pieces and parts that don’t always go together very attractively. I’m hoping for 240 more years of mis-matched components that somehow make a whole…
Don’t pass on Kumiko because of the building; you can store it no problem, and it didn’t figure at all into my decision to buy her.
Thinking about the episode where is introduced, I think it’s supposed to be ugly. The restaurant is supposed to be a tacky, noisy clash of American clichés, and the building represents that.
Sooo ugly… I didn’t think it was so bad until I saw it in a neighbours town. I don’t even remember Kumiko from the show either, so I don’t understand the excitement. And Sailor Moon? More like Sailor Boo amiright? amiright? haha

I picked her up almost immediately. The fact that she was only released once three years ago made it a must-buy. The building is kind of ugly but it’s a nod to Amemura (アメ村）in Osaka, which loosely translates to America town. I can’t wait to make use of her regular tasks. She’s been racking up the frequent flyer miles since day one.
I bought her immediately. Kumiko was a splurge, but, as I’ve wanted her for a long time, I felt she was worth it, especially with her anime themed skin. Plus, the building has the Kool Aid Man on it! OH YEAH!
Think about it ,tho…a corporate logo from 20 or 30 years ago is what sticks in their heads as a representation of our country…weird, huh?

2 days and 4hrs to get 8000 pins to complete act 1 after a late start. It’s not happening is it? :sad face:
its still possible, just log in on time to make use of tickets and tourists, plus you may get a daily task giving you lot of pins
You should get pretty close though. Which means probably a small amount of donuts for two characters. I now have them in my game & they are well worth the effort. So keep going & good luck.
If you actually do run out of time…check how many donuts it will take to buy Cesar and Ugolin…if you are close, you may find that is a small number of sprinklies to cash them out.

I missed the Kumiko last time. I thought it was a good deal for the bundle.
Man, unfortunately I love this idea/combo but her 4/8/12 hours are all indoors. I’ll never actually get to enjoy seeing her in her costume, which was what appealed to me. Gonna have to pass…so disappointed.
If you don’t mind losing the earned cash and XP, you could just let her wander around unemployed in her Sailor Moon costume. I do that sometimes for some characters.
Interesting enough….I ended up purchasing her realizing I’d be using her for her 1 hr and 24 hr. Just couldn’t pass up such a rare character with an anime themed skin, esp as an anime lover. So…not disappointed now.😁
Bought the building and skin on the first day…love them both…no regrets.
What I do regret is the new amount of game currency needed to get bonuts…7500 pins. After spending 3 days sending flyers all day to earn pins, I have decided that it isn’t worth the effort to earn 2 to 3 donuts for a day and a half’s work. Would be like sending 20 people a day, non stop, for a day and a half…just to find Maggie. I’m done with Bonuts for now…actually, I’m pretty much done with sending flyers until the next part of the event. (All those pins will disappear next Tuesday, anyway). I’m pretty sure I can earn more donuts by sending everybody on their normal jobs and buying Rat Trap Trucks with the proceeds..or as Patric would say…it’s a better ROT.
Same here. The first thing I did when this event started was buy this combo.
I was thinking the same thing. In previous events, I could easily earn 25 to 35 bonuts after I finished an act. Now, I’ll be lucky if I earn 12, and that’s with continuously juggling 15 characters on flights. Frankly, I don’t think it’s worth the effort anymore. It makes me wonder if others are struggling just to finish the first act.
I finished about 3 days ago, but I’m currently immobile & can play a lot more than the average person. I’m a little disappointed in the bonuts after completing the act though, the amt. of badges required are a bit excessive, & the cost to pick another box for the bonuts is the same as Finding Maggie, which is 150k per box 😐
You can buy a Rat Trap Truck for the amount of a second pick…if you have a high XP%, that will get you leveled up or pretty close.
I thought about that, especially with Maggie. My bonus % is just under 750 without figuring in the hidden SH buildings. 😊

Most pricy thing I’ve ever gotten (freemium player) because I got my hands on a gift card. Its soo worth it. My only very small issue is that Kumiko and sailor Kumiko have no quest line. After the event?
I got this bundle (character, skin, and building) and a questline started for me…the first task is with Kumiko and Akira (don’t know what’s next, because Kumiko’s been flying non-stop). Maybe you don’t have Akira?

Akira is a premium male character, who comes with a Japanese restaurant (can’t remember the name off-hand) and makes bonsai trees for free. I don’t think he’s a limited-time character….if he’s not in your store right now, it’s probably because they’re planning to offer a deal on him in Act 2. If they do, I’d definitely recommend picking him up. 🙂

Akira’s 100 doughnuts regularly. If there’s a deal it’s anyone’s guess.
I got Akira when he was last on sale despite being donut-poor, and have never regretted it. Fun outdoor tasks, all the bonsai trees you could ever want, and his restaurant looks very nice. Ralph has a task there, apparently he has some unusual culinary skills. Or works cheap. Or both.
