Looks like Easter has hit Springfield after all! Yesterday, Easter Sunday, EA dropped several Easter themed items in our towns. Most were returning, but there was one new item for those long time players to debate over.
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Praiseland Maude Statue to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this shrine to Maude to your Springfield…

-Ned has a 4hr Animated task there to “Tend to Maude’s Statue, earns $260, 70xp. Which also animates the statue
-Animated when tapped…best described as divine intervention

-No questline associated with it
-Bonus % is terrible

Premium or Freemium:
Another one of those “if you like it grab it” items. But honestly, I think y’all should pass. Bonus % is terrible, task for Flanders is meh. Really this is a lackluster item for the only new “Easter” item in town….
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m passing. So lackluster in my mind, not worth the donuts (maybe if it was 20 donuts I’d get it, but 40 donuts for .5%…meh) Just remember this is limited time, and will be leaving our stores soon. Whatever you decide, So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

Only Ned Flanders tends to Statue? I think the Flanders Kids should get a task there, too (why not have Maude’s Ghost animate statue task?)
This effort was ‘Half Ass EA’ (that’s your new nickname (lol)
This is one of those items EA could have had a lot of fun with. Characters having seizures for instance. They could have also had Maude been able to haunt it and give it an animation while she is doing it. It could even have been something touching with Ned, Rod, and Todd. Something scary would be good too although that would fit more with Halloween than Easter. They could have made it so you had the option to put it in Krustyland or Springfield. As it is right now it is kind of blase… Especially as the only new Easter item offered. So right now I agree with MEH…
Regular Ned animation is “meh”, agreed…..but Shirtless Ned “tending Maude’s secret garden” is edge of inappropriate amusing…….
Usually I wait for the “should I buy” posts but this one I grabbed right away. I am feeling a little duped now. I could have sworn in EA’s listing that it said it had “animated jobs” and with the price so high I was thinking this was gonna be like the zombie sandwich. I was greatly looking forward to seeing various characters twitching on the ground having “visions” like in the episode. You duped and disappointed me EA!
Didn’t buy it but was curious of the character tasks with it (now that I know “meh”). Hoped it had characters having Seizures/visions.
But yes very disappointed in EA this Easter. Any freebie would have better. Also give us a Living Maude character/skin EA!

Main con for me is its massive, unreasonable size. I have nowhere to put it where I won’t find it ridiculous. I would get it for my graveyard area if it were smaller. As is, pass.
I was so shocked when Maude Flanders died on the show that I couldn’t pass this one up.
Saw the bonus percentage and passed. Then saw it in a neighbor’s town. Still think I made the right call. I just don’t see the appeal, especially now that I know the tasks are dull.
Sometimes I feel like I need Alissa’s permission before I made any buy hahaha was thinking on buying it, but now I’m passing, thanks for helping me spare some donuts, if it wasn’t for these posts I would end up buying all new stuff EA releases, and some of them are pretty bad deals.

That thing is YUGE! So with it though. I like Ned’s task there and I love that episode. Honestly I have no idea what has bonus percentages in my town. I always buy before I look.
I wish I had waited for this post to come out before I bought it I was expecting the task to be for various characters to pray in front of it and then freak out from the gas fumes like in the episode which would have been much better than the task we have got.
Bought it before your post – when I saw that it had animated tasks, I was hoping we would have the various Springfielders falling to the ground and speaking in tongues – I can’t believe they missed that opportunity, since it’s such a memorable part of that episode! Also bummed that both animated tasks are for Ned, but I love this episode, so I’m happy with it 🙂
Got the Faberge Egg instead, 3% Bonus for 30 Donuts sounded sooo much better lol
I was pre-coffee when they offered it and clicked through before I realized it was 40 donuts instead of a gift. d’oh!
I did contemplate getting the Praiseland statue but after seeing how out of proportion it is and can’t place in Krustyland will pass. However in my last reply I mentioned if Shary Bobbins would make a comeback. Now I’m a Happy Tapper.
I got the statue because if they ever do a Praiseland update then I’ll be really annoyed if it doesn’t return or it returns for a higher price 😁.
An Alive skin for Maude is one of the items I want the most and I feel like that would have been a perfect costume to come with the statue.
I feel like the statue was a weird thing to get for Easter… I mean it made no sense. I feel so disappointed in this year’s Easter day event. I ended up getting the statue though because it seemed a waste to leave it behind. I was surprised by the size of it.
Would of been nice to get Ghost Maude with it, but I might end up picking this up as 40 donuts isn’t too much. As the only resemblance of Maude in my town, why not? 😝
Had accumulated enough donuts to get it. I love how it shimmers when you tap it. But it is big and I need to move a stretch of buildings to fit it in
Been focused on getting as many Knightboats as possible with that great bonus %. Anyone else loading up on those?
I got 2 because it’s a good price but I won’t go nuts. I’ve just been trying to get free decorations with bonus percentages from the Eliminator and the Rocket Launch Pad.

I love it and have wanted it for some time. I am not pleased with EA for trying to get away with this awful bonus percent, but I will be picking it up as soon as I have the sprinklies, since I love the item so much. I will hope EA ups the percent shortly.
Might have paid this much for a skin for Ghost Maude, but the statue…no way…😳👎👎.
If you ever an on building a Praiseland someday, I don’t see how you can pass it up. Snatched it up without a 2nd thought.

I just wish the Shredded Ned task was the longer one of the two. So much funnier imo.
