So when you first get into Springfield you’ll see Gil waving his arms around..doing his best impression of Touchdown Jesus…just begging you to tap on him…

At which point you’ll see the latest offer…
If you refuse…
Gil: No Mozart? Hey, I got a Beethoven in decent condition, if you’re interested? No? Gently used Brahms? No?

If you accept your inital task will be to build the Concert all, which takes 6s. Once the concert all is built you’ll see the character unlock message popup for Mozart.
It’s important to note that this is a FULL character NOT a costume for Bart. It’s so important even EA added it to Gil’s offer screen (in the yellow box).

Pros:
-Full character for Sprinfield, despite looking like Bart it’s not a skin for Bart
-Great visual animated tasks for Mozart
-Will use the concert hall for tasks, which animates it (lights up)
Cons:
-Overpriced.
-His 24hr task requires Bart
-Offers no help for this event (doesn’t earn shovels or anything else)

Premium:
As usual premium players, if you like it you’re going to buy it. That’s kind of the definition of being a premium player, right? But as far as combo goes, I’m not a huge fan of this one. I just think it’s WAY overpriced for what it is/does. So if you’re not a huge fan and debating this one…pass.
Freemium:
Pass. Loads of better stuff coming. This is overpriced and not worth your donuts, pass.
Of course in the end it’s completely your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you, as a premium player, I’m still on the fence. Just remember, they are limited-time. So whatever you decide be sure to make your final decision before they leave our games on the 28th.

Glad to see I am not the only one that liked/love this Gil (shudder) deal. Have a super idea IMO of putting Gil in game and having the angry town folk chase him around Springfield similar tomthe way Matt does Homer.
Anyway, I digress as usual. To me the price is not that bad compared to so many other stand alone & combos.
Even now the messed up Marge deal is 90 for a skin. SLH bless my poor latchkey puppy, I paid 150 for him. Barney & build, virtually unused, was 250 (pre-discount days), and I love Uncle Herb but he and building was 200 and the Gorge and Bart skin was 250.
I won’t beat that 70 d. Two-Nicorn any further 🙂
Execept to say Patches and Poor Violet cost me 100 d. (double shudder at their images & names).
So, to me, IMO, all in all, a neat building and cool brand new character (even Bart’ed) with great outdoor task if nothing else those alone make it practically worth the price.
A bit of KEM farming doen’t hurt either.
I’m kind of amused that they mentioned Liam Gallagher, which is pretty much a 20-year old reference.
Although I think that’s probably fitting for TSTO’s demographic… 😉

Nice building! If I weren’t a farmium player, I probably would have passed, but, since I’m currently in decent shape, donuts-wise, I decided to give ol’ Gil a break and pick this deal up. However, I now have three Barts in my town….how far are they going to take this duplicate-character thing? (And this really did seem to be Bart, not a “real” Mozart who just happens to look like Bart….)
In really need to do some more designing though…I did set up my Egyptian area last night, but I still have several recent items hanging out at the edges of my town that need to be properly integrated.
Ooof – just realized this is another indoor-items-needed-outdoors situation. *sigh*
You do make a good point about how much he looks like Bart, and the duplicate Barts. Wolfie’s appearance on the Simpsons did not have him resembling Bart in any way, although he was a ghost. If I had my druthers (as my Grandpa used to say) I would have liked that version, but I’ll take what I can get.

IT’S MOZART!!! I’m a classically trained musician and teacher and fan. I could not pass this up, even as mostly freemium. And as Gil deals go, it’s not as bad as most.
I feel like the Trade Places with Bart task would be more appropriate for Simon Woosterfield, if we ever get him in the game… and if we do, things are going to be confusing! 😬

Instant buy for me, I like the concert hall and Mozart Bart playing his piano. Not much for the Egypt stuff so had extra donuts to spend, went right into my Heights, the higher end of my town.

Thanks Alissa for helping me think about this rationally! I Love the building, the piano task looks fun, and I have the doughnuts, but thought it seemed priced too high. Really appreciate the confirmation. Also good to know better things are coming!! Hopefully (someday, maybe) EA will bring this building back for less, or at least with a rebate.
More often than not I try to do what I can to help ol’ Gil out.
Since the building said ‘Vienna’ it was placed in the ‘foreign’ section of Springfield.
The fact that it is not just a skin for Bart kind of surprised me (especially since I already bought him by that point)

I find it awkward having future/past versions of characters. Personally I’d rather them just be skins. A big pass for me.

It is like cloning run amuck in Springfield. This is why I just couldn’t bring myself to buy future Maggie. It just feels wrong. I dislike sending Mooch Bart and President Lisa out on tasks, I would store them but I also have a compulsion to have all my characters active. Sheesh! I have issues. 😉

Freemium player with 190 donuts to burn. This looked interesting. Glad I didn’t give in.
I bought it for my main game (4700+ donuts). I like the animations. However I will wait for the vault for my other games.
I think my biggest issue with Mozart is the group he’s placed in. It just feels really out of place as a choice, since even if he’s portrayed as a kid, that’s only because his design for this is based on Bart, and I don’t think anyone really thinks “kid” when they think of Mozart. And I’ve never been a fan of them placing such exclusive characters into groups like this anyways, since it just makes it near impossible to be able to complete it. In what likelihood and for what reason would they bring back Mozart at all? I guess maaaybe some sort of music-based event? But even then, there have been characters that don’t get rereleased for relevant events, like how Mayan Homer is completely absent from the small rerelease of Mayan stuff and Santa Claus wasn’t available last Winter holiday despite both Santa Homer and Santa Flanders being made available (idk if Santa wasn’t available the previous winter either, since I wasn’t playing TSTO yet then).
like, there’s been a scene in the show before where Mozart was an adult, not looking like Bart either. Focusing on that and grouping him in with the other kids just feels silly.
Dumb thing to be upset about, probably, compared to everything else, but eh.
