And now…A Word to Our Sponsors!

No boob jokes in this post. No CAPS (except for that one), no play on EA with word’s like rEAlly!  I am just going to keep this post simple, and to the point.

THANK YOU…

As silly as this game is, and as serious as some take it, and as much as I want to diagram jokes for some of the “literalists,” that can’t see that I am poking fun…almost all of the time… I am giving you all a respite to simply say, THANKS (sorry…caps key was locked), for once again stepping up and changing lives.

Emma, our stalwart project manager, sent me these pics today- and I wanted to share them with you- because a good number of you stepped up to help us reach our goal for this round of School Supplies quickly.  In addition, I wanted to show a couple more pics of the Water Tank that you all helped fund, in action…

I defy you to look at these faces…and actually worry about something as silly as getting a digital baby T-Rex.  But, of course…most of us are happy to do both!

Thanks so much…we are changing lives, in ways that political leaders seem unable to do.  This community rocks!!!

Time Travel Toaster Prize Guide: Prehistoric Era, Prize 1 Mammoth Statue

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Hang onto your toasters my friends because we’re going flying through space and time!  The latest event in TSTO has us going wayyy back in time to when Dinosaurs roamed the earth, Pharaohs were building pyramids & Pirates hobbled around on their peg legs!

This Event is broken up into 3 Eras, with each Era containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the first Era, Prehistoric, you’re tasked with collecting Fossils () to unlock each prize!

The First Prehistoric Era Prize awarded at 9,100 is the Mammoth Statue, because nothing says prehistoric like a giant Wooly Mammoth stuck to wood…

So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

To Hold Shovels Or Not…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Real quick, I’m getting this question asked A LOT in the comments…once you unlock Baby T-Rex should you hold shovels for the next Era or Keep using them?

Honestly, there’s no right or wrong answer to this.  If you unlocked Baby T-Rex this easily you likely won’t have an issue with the next Era (which is also 48 Gems) so it’s kind of a moot point for you.  But you’re also going to need shovels to earn more Fossils, Specimens and Tachyons…you know to finish the Prehistoric Prize Track.

So if you’re really paranoid and worried about saving shovels then do a mix of saving shovels and using them until you’ve unlocked the final prize in the Prehistoric Era.  If you’re not worried (and honestly, if you’ve unlocked Baby T-Rex at this point you shouldn’t be worried), keep using them.  Earn all those Fossils and get as many bonuts as you can!

If you do decide to save, I’d do a mix of saving and using.  Or even wait until the day before the Prehistoric Era ends to start saving…this way you’ll continue to earn Specimens (for Crafting) and Tachyons (for the Panini Press).

Everyone got it?  Good.

Should I Spend Donuts on the Prehistoric Era Returning Items?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Time to grab toast as we travel back…wayyyy back…in time with Homer in the all new TTT (Time Travel Toaster) event!  Homer’s taken us back to the Prehistoric Era and we’ve got Dinosaurs, Cavemen & of course other Prehistoric items in our Springfield just tempting us with those sprinkles!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Giant Snake in a Tree, Old Faithless, Giant Grasshopper, Giant Mushroom or Wooly Mammoth Pen to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…
