We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

We’re in the final Era of the Time Travel Event! We’ve gone and sailed the high seas with Pirates! What are your thoughts on the Pirate Era? Where are you in the prize track? Thoughts on the premiums released so far?
This past Friday Safi launched the all new 2017 Bracket Battle! Where y’all decide on which building you’d like to see in TSTO! (While we’re not EA and we can’t actually make it happen, it’s still fun to see what the readers want to see…) Have you made your picks?

I’m a bit disappointed that the pirate era hasn’t given an option for a tavern! My area just isn’t working without it and where are the pirates doing all this rum drinking!!!!!! I really hope something is offered
For the first time in 3 years of playing I’m going to miss all 3 acts final prizes by A LOT despite logging in 4x/day. Just frustrated. The only variable I can think of is I only have about 15 neighboreenos, though I don’t think that would make that dramatic of a difference (I didn’t need more for any previous events). I had even stockpiled shovels before act 3 when I saw I wasn’t going to get close to the final prize for act 2, and SEEMED to get a head start.
It’s pretty demoralizing 😕
If you don’t have premium earning characters/items for this event, then, yes, neighbors make a difference. IMO, one should always have a minimum of 30 neighbors, because that’s usually what it takes to get all of the event currency from neighbor visits during an event. And it’s really easy to add neighbors…just go to the Add Me section accessible from the top menu on this site!

Good news, good luck to everyone else who had this problem! I contacted EA through their help link, they called me right back, and took great care of me😁 I explained the situation about buying Mayan Marge, then trying to have a visual/outside task for her bought the Mayan Calendar, but I felt that without Mayan Homer being available to me, was a waste of my donuts. They gave me Mayan Homer’s skin so I can complete her quests & see her in her Mayan skin 😃😃😃😃 That was a huge customer service thing to do. EA has actually always came through when I’ve had a problem, I wish I’d have contacted them in the beginning instead of feeling duped. Kudos to EA for another positive experience dealing with them 😁😁
I got the final Smiling Pirate prize.
It sets off a 4 hour quest for the Pirate AND a quest that requires Luanne.
All my characters are on a twelve hour so I don’t know any more. But word to the wise, keep your powder dry and Characters free as you approach acquiring the Pirate.
We lost a TSTO addict today. I don’t know if she was on here or her origin name because she was on as a FB friend. But she loved the game! She was in a bad car accident. RIP my friend!

I know it has been said already, but I just want E.A to see the commentary as much as possible…… that I’m very very disappointed with the crafting for this event. It just doesn’t seem like we are going to be able to craft as many prizes this time, it takes too much event currency and the prizes throughout the event from the crafted prizes to the event prizes are not very entertaining I’m not going to be disappointed if I don’t attain most of these prizes. Thank-you.
P.s …. I do really enjoy the new vault option, is it permanent ?
The vault is not permanent, it will leave stores on September 12th. Though something akin to it has the potential to return at some point.
Okay got the gallows, if I did not have to acquire this to get the the Pirate and Ship I definetely would have passed. Rats are enough hanging someone in my town is out, went right into storage.

I pulled it out and tried it…it’s really kinda funny. Still don’t like the sign, but the animation is well done.
I agree with you, I don’t really want a gallows in my town and it will go into storage with the “Preachy Pirate” sign…but it goes beyond the morbidity issue. This prize also comes with yet another sign… “My Crime – Bias”…WTF? I know the game pokes fun at our foibles, but I’m not going to encourage some unhappy animator to decorate my town with his/her opinions. I think we all know “Bias – Not Good” without a sign reminding us everyday. Who approved this heavy handed attempt at 3rd grade citizenship lessons?

I like the animation a lot, it’s really funny imo. A bunch of people will hate it and a bunch of people will love it. No reason to question who approved the animation because there are a lot of different people playing the game. It’s not because you don’t like it that nobody should be able to have it in their town.
Absolutely true…if everybody only liked what I liked, it would be a pretty boring planet.

I love this task…I just wish it was 4 hours or longer…hardly use the 1 hr tasks anymore.

They pulled the app and no longer support it, because it never really worked right. (I never got the app, myself…I’m just reiterating what I’ve seen Alissa say many times.
My boyfriend just got home from a little Alabama business trip, really missed him! So glad to be laying and tapping next to him.

it’s kinda petty but I wish my neighbours who seem very opposed to building roads could just build one around the dig site – I hate searching someone’s entire town to find three rats to click on.
I agree with you. In fact I always wondered why bother to play if you’re just going to pile buildings on grass or in heaps right next to each other. Especially premium players. What’s the point of you’re not trying to make it look like an actual town, or at least have a design theme. I’m not saying it’s wrong, there is no wrong, it just kind of mystifies me
It does make it kinda hard to find them without any paved roads…who knew rats were alllergic to cobblestones and open grass? Guess they have become true city dwellers…pavement only😄.

Roughly 7:40 pm local and 600 patches from The Gallows.
awaking in the middle of the night. Buying all the Premium Characters. Saved roughly two hundred fifty shovels from Event Two.
Two more days and I can go to eight or twelve hour events and have a REAL life.
3,000 away from the Pirate Ship. When I awake ~7 hours from now, I’ll have another 1,000 from Mom and Pop shovel factory. Another ~4 hours after that ( plus the resulting excavation) and I’m done.
Good thing, my wife and I have obligations tomorrow and I won’t be playing after my initial wake up harvest.

I have a question i hope its ok to ask here. Ralph has a task to play Pirates but in the task menu its a red circle with a line through it so cant make him complete this task, any ideas ?

It’s a double character task, you’ll need Dolf the bully free too. He’ll be animated cooking Ralph over the new campfire

It’s not a bad event IMO, but the prizes could be better. I think maybe focusing on one of the three topics and expanding on it would have made it more interesting. Like a full on Pirates War.
To me, the events are also getting to be too much of a grind. I haven’t had problems getting all the prizes, but still, it starts to feel like work and not fun. I suggest having more mini events before a full event. Those mini events could shake things up.

Dying to find out from anyone who bought Candy Apple Island. Any small apes on it? EA keeps dropping the ball on so many gags from the show that they could incorporated into decor (not to mention visual tasks). Any permanent tasks associated with it? I’m also disappointed by the lack of character interaction with stuff.

MAB, I like what you’ve done with the even goodies so far, particularly how Mount Carlmore is peeking over the temple.
I’m still working on my town, primarily around a Pirate/Dinosaur/Egyptian/Whatever-animals-Moe-made-up outdoor museum. I’ve made space for the gallows by the courthouse (Wedgie-gallows!) and attached the Pirate Prison to the regular prison. There’s a missed opportunity to give Santa’s Little Helper a visible task to “Tease the Prisoners” with a key ring outside the Pirate Prison. But as missed opportunities go, it pales beside not giving the Vicious Monkeys a task to “Pretend to be Human” all standing on one-another’s shoulders in a trench coat.
