Intriguing- another site suggests:
Act 2 requires twice as many to earn everything.
Act 3 requires thrice as many to earn everything.
Providence help us if Characters don’t continue on and continue to build upon their Star Rating.
In the end, this (that?) is a game – if ya’ ain’t having fun, what’s the point of playing?
I really hope the icons do not mean which act they participate in. Finally getting Homer a 5 star at the end of the act just to have him unable to jam in the next act sounds very frustrating.
hmm. I’ve been having everyone preform as much as possible, and Homer still only has 1 star for me 🙁
In fact.. none of my Performers are past 55/80 to earn the first star higher than they started with.
Am I missing something?.
They only ear towards stars buy preforming, right?
Jam Sessions is the only way to upgrade a characters Star Rank. Each Jam Session earns 5 of the 80, so it takes 16 Jam sessions (or 64 hours) to upgrad a characters Star Rank.
If your characters are at 55/80, it means they have jammed 11 times (or 44 hours performing).
Here I am again our Queen….come on folks it’s a game! Lighten up, go outside get some sun, give our wonderful Queen a break.

If you want all the prizes from this event like most others put in the time, tap every four hours, visit your friends or buy donuts…coming on this site & complaining does NOT help you progress in the event, it does however cause much grief to Alissa who has a full time job, a small princess to raise, not to mention a husband, house hold on & on. She is not a sounding board for frustration!

Just a suggestion…we could all take break with our comments for a couple hours to give Alissa a little sanity break…I know I’m probably more guilty than most, but none of what I’m reading is “life or death” important…or even a question. Just all of us posting opinions…keep in mind Alissa has to read everything before she can post it, and there have to be close to 1000 posts today from all these pages. I’m going to take a break for the rest of the day and do other stuff…hope you get a little break, oh glorious Lizard Queen😁.

Cannot understand why people are asking about act two, when only recently started act one. What will come will come. Act one has been fully explained and am sure act two will be too. Allisa is pretty amazing making time explaining so quickly for the players who get confused, just after the acts start, have no idea how you do it Alissa and with a family. So just enjoy the game.
I’ve come late and now I can’t stop laughing because I’m imagining Alissa writing replies to comments in a Lizard Queen costume 😊

Depends on how fast you clear them.
I send all my lawyers to my hubby and vice versa. I can do it up yo 10 at a time. He clears his lawyers and then I can go back in and drop more.
The only answer to a “How many lawyers” question is always “Too many”.

Perhaps something to back TomC’s theory. In the help guide for the performers list it has a picture of Homer earning what I assume are the three currencies for the three acts. If Homer could only earn in the rock act then this would be misleading.
There are 4 venues, and so far not spending donuts, and already having Rocker Maggie, I only have 6 characters to jam, so there are still spaces left in other venues. So we will probably get to play all types of music; Rock, Pop, and Hip-hop. I’m not sure about it, but it seems weird having just a “Rock Stage”, so I think we will get another stage for each genre. So again, summing up, we will probably get to play all types of music 😃
I hope it’s a skin for the rock stage. I already have the open air stage, opera stage and the Springfield Bowl. I really don’t need 6 outdoor stages.
I’m hypothesizing that not only will all characters be able to be used (like what TomC suggests) but the payouts will be different for the type of stages used. Making it more useful to send people out on tasks for the subsequent Acts, while still leaving previous characters still relevant. Although I would not be surprised at all if they just leave the payouts the same… just with more people.
Either way, as RVitl points out, the payouts have to increase somewhere, so either more characters used at more venues or Gen. Payout has to increase.
They increase for each act (at least tappables do)
Side note, I’m really digging the event and the craftables so far. To help with finding concert-goers and lawyers, I’ve put all my town on indoor tasks, and reduced my roadways to try and concentrate them further. So far, so good.
Side note – I noted earlier that Saxophone Lisa skin was a booby prize.
I wonder if there was a benefit, because I see Lisa with 2-star (instead of 1-star like other basic characters).
What do other people without the Saxophone Lisa skin see?

thank you for pointing this out… i expected sax lisa to be my first mystery box return, but ended up getting the other 3 items i had in there first… think i’ll just leave the skin in there.
I was mostly getting the boxes to get Rockstar Maggie, so she could help with the event. Got the Duff balloon first and then her. I don’t want saxophone Lisa (believe it or not) and I don’t think I’m interested in the Clamphatheater(sp?) or….can’t remember the third thing I have left….either, so I may stop here, unless I get bored later on or something.
I feel where you are coming from. I wanted Lisa to have more stars or at least jam with her saxophone outfit but she doesn’t. That was a waste of up doughnuts. Ggrr…
Saddens me that Homer will only be able to really participate for the Rock act, but I guess that just means I gotta enjoy it as much as I can while it lasts. 😛
Im sure that the Rock stage will still be able to be used after Act 1, and will earn currency depending on which act you are in. If you see the currency needed for the followin acts (Nebraska is like 100000) it would be impossible to achieve that goal if only one type of music could be played. I am pretty sure you will still be able to Rock and Pop even if you are on act 3
I noticed that too. Plus, the pop and hip-hop stages are prizes in the next acts, so you’ll have to earn them somehow.
I bought BGM mainly based on the idea that he would be available for all the acts of the event. If TomC is correct, that these icons represent stages, not acts, then I would have been better off getting Sungazer. Oh well. Still happy 🙂 Me likes me some BGM!

You’ll unlock different versions of Weird Al during each Act.
That stinks… if premium characters bought in act one can’t participate in act two.
Not to sound pessimistic (I’m really trying not to be, been really delving into Buddhism as of late), but if this is true, EA is just milking us at this point. I can see if they keep certain regular characters from jamming every act… but if they’re taking players precious sprinkles (freemium, farmium and premium), they should let those characters remain for the entire act.
So I’m hoping this isn’t true! I bought that combo with the idea that they’d help throughout the event!
This did happen in past events..remember time travel? Cavegirl Booberella could only earn for Act 1.

Are you sure? I know at least 1 of the premiums didn’t. I thought it was boob, maybe it was skinner. But I thought it was each premium purchased only earned for that act. I’d have to go back and check my thousands of screenshots from that event, but I was pretty sure only Billy earned for all 3 acts.
Yes, I’m sure. I didn’t do any of her quests until after the Time Travel event was done because she was busy generating shovels the whole time.

Alissa, are you sure about this? I’ve interpreted the icons as showing which stages (not Acts) they can perform on. In Act 2 we get a pop stage, but the rock stage will still be there for the rock-only characters. Otherwise, what’s the point in levelling up the star rating of someone like Homer if he can only perform in one Act?
Based on some other info I can see, about which characters can play when. Yes, that’s how I’m interpreting it. I could be wrong, wouldn’t be the first time. But I’d at least rather have this out in people’s minds now than not have it out at all..and if it is the case everyone would be pissed. HOWEVER, i’ll add what you just said to the post as well…so it’ll be up for debate still. We won’t know for sure until Act 2 hits…
One thing that supports TomC’s interpretation is the Star Management. It would be absolutely HORRIBLE if they set things up to where you spend time (and possibly donuts, if you’re desperate) to upgrade your performers, only to have them yanked away once the act is over.

Honestly, this may be the event that gets me to quit blogging. I’m getting to old for interpretations and backlash.. (not that I’m getting backlash here…I meant more if EA changes something the backlash that’ll come directed this way aimed at EA)

Only the people who bought the combo solely for event currency, not those who wanted them because it was a good deal, wanted the characters, wanted to complete the category, etc.
All 3 acts? Um, once you get far enough it unlocks a fourth venue, just a heads up….
ACTS, nothing to do with venues. ACTS. Act 1 ends the 15th, then Act 2 starts and so on…3 acts for the event (Rock, Pop and Hop Hop)…not Venues.
