Homerpalooza Is Nearing the End…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a reminder that the Homerpalooza Event Ends TOMORROW September 12th.

This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.

As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.

Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…

  • Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 3 Acts.
  • However, the questlines linked directly the the prizes and Premium Characters you’ve won will remain. (so BGM, Manager Cletus etc)
  • The event removal will require an app store update to fully remove it from your game.  So don’t panic when the timer runs down and the event isn’t out of your game…  It will require an app store update to remove everything.

I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so just know that ANY time after the 12th is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after the 12th and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.

Also, we’ve seen with a few recent events EA shuts off the ability to earn one item or another.  So don’t bank on being able to get that extra time.  Try to earn as bling as you can until the event ends.

And don’t forget to craft! Use em (the tickets) or lose em!

So tap those last few fans and relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.

Additional note:

Some of you are asking what you should craft with all of your extra crafting currency.  There’s no magic item to craft.  There’s no way of knowing what EA might make premium in the future, with a bonus %.  Best advice I can give you is craft at least one of everything.  If there’s something you think you could use in a particular design craft a bunch of them and stick them in storage.

If you feel like you’ve crafted everything you want, then it’s ok to not use all of your crafting currency.  Just because you have it doesn’t mean you need to spend it.

Crafting Post, with item breakdown

A few others asked me about which gives the most XP when placed in Springfield…it appears as if each item (you can craft multiples of) gives you 100xp when placed in Springfield.  So there’s no item that gives you more of an advantage.

Are you sad to see the event go?  Or ready for it to finally be over?  How did you do with the prizes?  Get everything you wanted?  What are you hoping to see next?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I think tomorrow is going to bring us a takedown patch, with mini games inspired items to replace the weekly vault items, as hinted in an old update.

Also, we are probably looking at a mini-event, maybe Krusty Klown College finally, which was hinted at in an update description a while back.

Then Season 29 tie-in and Halloween.

  2. The event is supposed to run until September 12 and yet there is an update now. Does this update close the event early,?

  3. My Rock Stage looks awesome, but Pop and Hip Hop lacked so much. I was expecting other signs like the ROCK sign or more specific items. The design of Hip Hop and Pop stages were blah too. What to do with the 7k crafting tickets I have left?

  4. I enjoyed the event but also ready for it to be gone. Finished up the prize track a while ago. Still been sending out lawyers to those who needed them.

This was my second event after the spy one. Interested to see what Halloween will bring.

  5. I missed most of this event entirely because I just wasn’t interested in the prizes. Generally I kept my characters earning cash instead. Thankfully that was easy to do – some events make it hard to perform other tasks.
I did buy BGM and Jazzys as soon as they were available and may pick up another building or two before time runs out. Hopefully there is a jazz mini-event before Halloween.

  6. Thank. Goodness. It’s. Finally. Over.

  7. This wasn’t an awful event…we got BGM! But we also had to spend too much time searching for lawyers. And before the bonut tasks, it was tricky to find festival goers. EA needs to find a sweet spot when they require us to tap things…maybe a sound effect or more-obvious design (lawyers look too much like other characters, especially Blue Haired Lawyer).

  8. Super torn about whether to buy BGM and/or Leon, knowing they will probably come back later at a discount. I was also hoping to get Rockstar Maggie, but my mystery box has six items in it, so the odds aren’t great.

    • Same I can’t decide who to get.. I did 3 mystery boxes at beginning of event really wanted Maggie but got Captain Bob. Saxophone lisa. and the open stage 🙁 not trying again but tempted by BGM.. But the chance they might be back discounted is making me want to wait..

      • Well, I screwed up, got busy at work and forgot to get either one before they cleared the store. But I got lucky — Rockstar Maggie was showing as get now under one of the pop stages, and when I tapped it, it opened the Homerpalooza mystery box even though it’s not available in my store. I gambled with one play and bam, got RSM.

  9. I enjoyed this event. Actually, it’s the first one I had fun with in a long time. That being said, I still found it to be too long. Once I got the rapping Bart skin, I was done.

  10. I agree that the craftables were terrible, yet there was so much potential with this theme.

  11. This event was ok. I’m just having trouble finding a reason to keep any of it in my town instead of storing it. None of the event buildings/decorations have a payout and just take up a lot of space.

Bring on Halloween…I’m really hoping it’s good this year.

  12. Enjoyed Rocking and Rolling. I always make as much various materials as I can with crafting – maybe they will come in handy later (24 of each type fence, 10 of each light, need to get some speaker stacks before bed tonight)!

  13. This events storyline was very uninteresting

  14. I got MJ… I have wanted Leon in my game since forever. FOREVER.

    Loved it. ♡

  15. Like all of these long events, I’m ready for it to end. It wasn’t the worst but it was far from the best. I liked that you could earn bonuts as soon as you finished the questline but EA also took away any possibility of earning donuts through daily challenges so that kind of evened things out. As always, I’ll be ready for whatever comes next. 🙂

  16. Note, that while EA can grant a bonus % to any item, it is highly unlikely that they will grant a bonus to any item that was previously craft-able. Typically the bonus %’s have gone to items you’ve won as part of the quest lines from previous events. Even if they end up offering the item for donuts and a bonus % later in the store, only the ones that you buy with donuts are likely to offer the bonus %. (i.e. spooky cabin, i have like 60+ crafted from a previous event, they payout money and XP but no bonus %.)

  17. That pic of L.T. Smash fits perfectly with this post (and any other “event is ending post”), I gave this event a B on the Addicts Live post because I liked everything in this event but some of the crafting items and the neighbour visits since you can visit at least 30 friends in previous events to get currency and only 10 for this one, the time it takes to visit friends is always much longer during major events, searching for fans and the delay of fans tapped was a bit time consuming, I liked the concept of sending and collecting lawyers in friends towns like the prospectors from the Wild West event, however, it would of been better if they were easier to find and see and have a message similar to the fans saying; “No Lawyers available, wait for neighbours to send more”. Crafting was much easier than in the past and most of crafting prizes were decent (crowds, fences, tents + lights) but some were not (smoke machine, bling cup as a final prize), there could of been some unique buildings added like from Destination Springfield event to crafting instead of only decorations to replace the spotlights (that should of been store items).
Other than that the rest of the event was great, getting cool characters like Alaska, Leon, BGM, L.T., Rachel and Weird Al, some cool buildings like the Sungazer Studio, KEM*, stages and some of the premium ones. Most of the Weird Al prizes could of been a bit better (other than Al himself). Jam sessions were a good idea but could of had more hip-hop characters. Getting bonus donuts halfway through instead of at the end of the prize track was a great idea for this event because players that don’t make the final prize can get some donuts early and players that do finish can have a maximum of 12 when unlocking the final prize and continue earning them. I liked getting the returning premium characters Jay G and Rock star Maggie at a cheaper price than originally. *Kwik-E-Merch.
This is also the second major event that I didn’t have to buy a new premium character to help and still manage to get all the prizes. I have noticed that some commenters do usually focus on the negatives of an event and I like to look at both the positives and negatives of an event because even if it is an event I don’t like, I do appreciate the work the EA puts into it and I also appreciate the hard work all the addicts put into making this site such an awesome place. 😀

  18. What’s the next event anyone know

  19. Thank god it sucked some events are too good to end ie Halloween
The Casino event but some are just pure tourture that need to end
Ie the the pagan Christmas .

  20. Well all good things come to an end. Shame this event wasn’t one of them

  21. I think I gave the event a C rating. I didn’t take act 1 seriously, it was tricky for me in act 2, but act 3 was much better.

There should have been much better crafting prizes too.

We seem to always say that EA need to change the format of a large event, but they never listen. Hopefully they will for Halloween.

  22. Good riddance. I was bored with this event almost from the beginning. It was nice to get some high demand characters like BGM and Leon but the variety of craftables was severely lacking and several of the prizes weren’t that great. Hopefully they put more effort into the Halloween event.

  23. It was a good event. I wish they’d diversify the tasks a bit more (almost everyone who has a rail yard task also had an event task). The nice part was I was able to focus on the rail bonuts and still finish all the tasks. That made this event less stressful than ones in the past.

  24. Like a lot of others, I am sitting on almost 10k Festival-Tickets and don’t really know what to do with them.
For XP-farmers: contrary to what Alissa said (sorry, Alissa!), it looks like the white spotlights, returning from casino-event, are the only item that give you XP on placing them (about 400), the new stuff doesn’t give out any XP at all as far as I remember.

  25. I really liked this event and ended up getting everything in all three acts with time to spare. Bring on Halloween, I’m ready and super excited to see what they have in store for us this year!!! Have a lovely day!! : )

  26. Getting the white spot light (15 tickets) gets the most XP. I get over 5,000XP each. Seems the only one earning that much for few tickets.
    BillyinPS
Currently in Orlando, Florida. We went thru worst part in the night. We still have power and water.

    • I think you start earning that much after placing 4th or 5th after purchase the whole lot.

    • I always feel like orlando is one of the safer places to be during hurricanes. There’s a reason all the theme parks are there…
      Glad you’re safe!

    • Glad to hear you made it through with power and water! Must still have been a bit scary though. Amy time we get strong winds and rain/snow around my house, I worry about a trim limb, or even a whole tree, falling on my house! 😱

  27. I’ll miss the donuts that’s for sure. I hope future events let you earn them early like this one. The event was fun, but I’m ready for Halloween.

I’m on the fence about getting BGM. I like him and want him, but the price is more than I care to pay. Anyone got anything to swing me one way or the other?

    • Seems likely that he’ll return at a cheaper price down the road. If you’re okay with not having him for a few months, then probably better to wait.

  28. I wanna more jobs for Marge and Bender as a playable character of course

  29. Great event, looking forward to Halloween though!
Had a huge update yesterday which now has the game let me zoom out really far!
    Anyone else have this happen?

    • Same happened on my Note 5 day before yesterday, got huge update (like 770MB) and out of sudden everything is from big distance… it will take time until I will get used to it 😂 and today I got another small update changing design of names of stages (Simpson house, Krusty Burger etc)

  30. I’m super fine with Homerpalooza going away. Events running 5-6 weeks are tiring and get boring after awhile. No matter how cool the event or how many bonuts scored, it’s the highest time to go on.
