Update: I’ve added another point…
We need to talk. Lately, I feel like we’ve lost that lovin’ feeling. It’s totally not me…it’s you. I try and try to bring that feeling back, but time and time again you just disappoint me.
What happened to the way things used to be? You’ve tried over the last couple of years to fix something that wasn’t broken, and instead, you broke what was already great. You used to be cutting edge in mobile gaming, doing things no other game was doing. Now you’re stuck in a rut and I’m not the only one noticing.
Day after day, event after event, I see other players say you’re losing their interest. They’re grinding for the sake of grinding, and not because it’s fun. They too have lost that lovin’ feeling. That excitement and joy that made them come back for more, over and over again. They’re missing what made them Addicts in the first place. And it needs to be fixed, pronto, or I’m afraid TSTO will lose players faster than that other mobile game has.
I get it, this game is over 5 years old. It’s had a long life and maybe you’re running out of ideas. But, the best thing about TSTO is it’s based on the best show. So running out of ideas isn’t an option. You have 28 full seasons of The Simpsons to work with. And unlike some of those other games, by that other miniature company, The Simpsons is actually funny (and doesn’t rely solely on “fart jokes” for a laugh) and has never been canceled. So really, running out of ideas isn’t an option. If we’re still watching a show after nearly 30 years, clearly you should still be able to hold our interest after only 5 years.
Don’t worry, this isn’t a “Dear John” letter. I’m not breaking up with you. No, this is a “let’s fix things so we can get back that lovin’ feeling” letter. So what follows is a list of 10 simple changes you can implement to make TSTO Events great again. (when it comes to those mini-events I actually think you’re doing a great job) So let’s get to it…
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Tomorrow the County Fair Mini-Event is slated to leave our Springfields, so I thought now would be a good time to look back at how all of the items added (new and old) for this mini-event impact our Conform-O-Meters.
The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game. When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town. If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.
While the County Fair Mini-Event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring a few new and old buildings and decorations. So let’s take a look at how all of the “goodies” impact our rating: Continue reading

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Just popping in with a friendly reminder that the County Fair Mini-Event is set to leave our games tomorrow morning. So finish up that prize track. Make sure you grab everything you’re looking at from the stores because come tomorrow afternoon it’ll be gone.
Remember, once the timer runs out you’ll no longer be able to purchase the items or complete the prize track. You won’t be able to delay the timer on this one since it was part of an in-game update not an app store update. So be sure to get everything you want and finish the prize track BEFORE tomorrow morning, otherwise, you’ll miss out.
Need a reminder about what was included in the store for this event? Check out the rundown post here.
So what’s next? As we talked about many times in the comments and at lengths during the latest Addicts Live, I think we’ll see an episode tie-in this week for the Season 29 Premiere. And that’ll be followed by Halloween 2017. But, in reality, no one (except EA) knows what’s going to happen next and when it’ll happen. So f, for now, t’s all just sit back, relax and wait to see what happens…
Oh and don’t forget to finish up those County Fair designs and submit them for our Springfield Showoff tomorrow.
