It’s nearly Fall in Springfield and of course, that means it’s time for Fall Harvest! Nothing says Fall Harvest quite like a good old County Fair! A nice relaxing way to slowly bring Springfield back to normal after the crazy music fest!
Of course, as with all events, new premium characters are in our stores! Yes, characters just tempting us to drop those donuts on (not literally of course, donuts are too delicious to be used as weapons). This event introduced two lovely young ladies to our stores…Mary Spuckler and Amber Dempsey. And naturally both came with her own questline..
So let’s take a look at those questlines now, and just what you’ll need to do to help Mary make ends meat and Amber see just how far her lashes can get her…
I’m going to start by making it clear, that while this episode is almost entirely about a love relationship between Bart and Mary Spuckler, I actually saved this last WDTCF post from this Mini-Event, because I love the building that the Springfield Opry House is based upon.
I think it is interesting the way we toss around the word, “Love.” We love our significant others, we love our kids, we love our country, we love our sports teams, and we love the concept of being in love. But we also love a whole bunch of inanimate objects that don’t really return our love, as much as we shower them with affection and obsession…to the point where the kind of deep, passionate, romantic love that is actually important (along with unconditional love for one another), is watered down, by our love for stuff. It’s that time…calling all Addict Designers! Now that we’re nearing the end of the County Fair Update (ends Tuesday), we’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff and we want you to show us what you’ve done! So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
The next Showoff will feature your County Fair/Springfield Farm designs! So use the rest of the week, and the weekend, to polish up those fall festival areas and show us how creative you’ve been with the County Fair stuff! Send in your designs and we’ll be putting up the Showoff Post featuring your designs on Tuesday, September 26th.
So finish up those designs and grab some screenshots of your town…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm ET Monday September 25th can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.
IF you Email your submissions please put Showoff County Fair in the subject line, and make sure your photos are in JPEG or PNG format..please. Also, be sure your submissions are in on time.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂
