Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So with this event, EA has introduced the first costume for Squeaky Voice Teen, Squeaky Voice Peasant. You’ll notice that this post is called Should I Buy, instead of Should I Spend Donuts On…why? Because to get this costume you’ll literally have to buy it. There’s no amount of bonuts that’ll unlock it for you, just cold, hard cash.
So is it work the cash investment? Let’s take a look…
Item: Squeaky Voice Peasant (Costume for SVT)
What Else: 120 Donuts. You’ll get the 60 donuts you normally would get for the money spent, plus a bonus 60 donuts. So 120 donuts total
Cost: $4.99 USD (this will vary from country to country. This is the cost in the US, and the price set by EA. Any amount over the $4.99 USD is a tax rate set by Apple/Google (Well set by the respective governments, but Apple/Google collect it))
Available Until October 17th, 2017
Pros:
-First costume for Squeaky Voice Teen
– Hilarious Outdoor tasks
– Earns crafting currency with his tasks (after the event it appears the tasks will earn at a premium rate but we’ll see if that changes to a super premium rate when the event ends)
-You still get 120 donuts with purchase
Cons:
-Costs actual money, there’s no amount of bonuts that’ll help you get there
-SVT already earns at a premium rate, without the costume
-Earns crafting currency, and many of you have already pointed out that crafting for this event is lame.
Final Thought:
There’s no premium or freemium difference here….
I like it. I think it’s a funny costume, it’s reasonably priced ($4.99, which is equivalent to 60 donuts). 60 donuts is a reasonable price for any costume, PLUS you’ll still get 120 donuts with your purchase. Honestly, I feel like this one is a win/win. And it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than the kick you in the pants Burns Dragon. I say if you can afford to drop the $5 in the game, go for it. Especially considering you’ll get donuts in addition to the costume. Honestly, this is a true deal. Like a good old fashion donut deal that they used to do. You get double the donuts plus a costume, it’s a good offer.
The final word from me is Buy.
Of course, in the end, we can’t tell you what to do. We can only present you with the pros and cons and tell you what we would do. And I can tell you, I got him. It was honestly a good deal. (a true deal, unlike Gil who thinks he’s offering you a deal but really just kicking you…) But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games on October 17th.
Here’s a look at his tasks…
I do think he’ll earn at a premium rate when the event is over, but we’ll see for sure what happens when it’s all over
Squeaky Voice Peasant’s Permanent Tasks:
He’ll also have the 30m sneak an ice cream task that all of the kids have if you have Ice Cream Homer
What are your thoughts on Squeaky Voice Peasant? What do you think about actually using cash to get it? How about the bonus donuts that come with it? Have you purchased him? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

ARGH!!!!! You broke me down Ms. A!! Me…who HATES spending REAL money on a digital game, when there are so many other things to direct my hard-earned cash that better the world.
However…how can you pass on an item that doubles the donuts…AND has SVT hauling a huge, wobbling, pile of “filth,” which is how I feel most days when I read the news!
Done and Done, Madame!
I did left my chils shoeless since the lower googleplay card in my country is around 10 USD. But who cares, she loves being shoeless most of time
And I have been reading SO much (too much) news these days. I need to tone it down though as it can be too depressing. 😬 RachelS
the normal teen has no 4h task in my town because i did not have the aztec theatre yet. This costume plug that hole
Okay as a freemium player i actually just went ahead and purchased this as my first ever real money spend. i love squeaky teen and i really wanted the gingerbread house with the witch so now i get both 🙂 hoping its not the start of me using my real money…. :O ha
Hilarious. I’m going to buy it. Interesting about EA requiring cash instead of donuts. Maybe they’re on to us ).
If you’re the type of player that buys donuts, this is a good deal just from that perspective. At the low end (dozen), it works out to 16.58 cents/donut. When buying 2400, it’s 4.16 cents each. For this deal you get the SVT skin (& SVT if you don’t already have him), PLUS 120 donuts, at a rate of 4.15 cents per donut.
Wait…wait…it clearly says “bonus 60 donuts” at the bottom, lol. Ah well. All good!
AH! I was WONDERING why I had so many donuts after I purchased him! I thought it might have been a happy glitch. 😉 It wasn’t clear to me that I got 120 donuts, lol!! So COOL. So glad I got him now! It helped me get Angelica Button, and then I also bought the Wiggops Cyclops (because…Cyclops!). Thanks for the info! (as an aside, it isn’t clear at all that you get 120 donuts…is it?)
Squeaky Voice Peasant is great – so glad I added him to my Springfield.
But does this event seem to be lacking to anyone? Once you get your “beast” to the “Enchanted” state there are no jobs that earn anything related to the event for Lisa, BART, Martin, Angelica Button and Milhouse?
Halloween in Springfield should be the highlight of the year…while I like the Harry Potter ish theme…otherwise I’m not impressed…here’s to hoping the event picks up in the coming acts!
I agree. Once the beasts are tamed they can still be sent out to earn wands – but there is nothing more for the ‘wizards’ to do. Even their tasks don’t earn wands, just money.
And it’s like the last game, the best way to use the characters are in groups of 4 but you just get 5 (or 6 once you complete Act 1) so you are under using the spares even if you have 2 beasts running, because you can’t fill all the available slots!
I know it’s easy to find fault: but it doesn’t require much thought to make these games more enjoyable. We just seem to be left saying, “Now why didn’t they do that?” at every new event.
Lisa, Bart, Milhouse, and Martin can go back to non-stop rail yard work!
I love him. I love anything Medieval so it was a no brainer for me. The leeching animation is great – reminds me of Roose Bolton 🙂
Too bad they left Roose’s leeches out of the show. Poor Gendry, however…
Appears much better value than the Burns Dragon! Though it’s a shame he can only be used for tasks & not as an additional ‘wizard’ to enchant the monsters.
Usually I get premium characters, but I’m hanging on over buying the Burns Dragon because I can’t yet see how it is worth so many donuts!
Excellent deal with fun animations aka Monty Python 😀
Ka-ching! 🎃
No brainier for me, what a steal – I mean deal! I very rarely spend cash on the game but this was too good to pass on.
I think I would go for this if it was a standalone character, but not for a premium character skin. Those free donuts seem to be coming thick and fast these days!
great breakdown.
true, this is a buy decision 🙂
$10 for 132 donuts
$5 for 120 donuts and a skin
Every now and then I pay to play
Especially when I have $$$ earned fro Quick Thoughts
Good buy, in any case
I was thinking in getting him as soon as i got paid (and that is on this thursday) because i still dont own SVT. Also, even if crafting is lame i am new in TSTO and i just had 2 of the crafted items.
Just enjoy the game. Don’t let yourself being discouraged by such remarks as “lame”.
Happy tapping to you.
I’m sorely tempted, but I’m worried that once I pay real cash for something, there’s no turning back …
His Filth Wagon task makes me laugh every time I see him! LOL!!
Hi greetings from Malaysia!
I have been a purely freemium player for past 4 years… and I drop real cash for the first time for this deal! Really good deal. Thanks EA!
And thanks TSTO Addicts! I check out your site at least 2 times a day for updates 🙂
Had to have him! I love SVT, so it’s nice to have a new costume for him. And better yet, both of the jobs that I mostly use (4h and 8h) are visual.
I got it and I talked my girlfriend into getting it. I can’t resist a bargain and it was a good deal. Plus my girlfriend used the donuts to purchase Angelica Button. It was a win all around.
I got it, love the outfit and actions. Definitely got him to help with the currency.
I’m still sad that it’s going to take forever to gather event currency. the stuff in the store is really priced high, going to take forever to get the good things i don’t have as a newbie player.
With the extra donuts, bought tentacle trees. Even better deal.
The price different between countries for actual money purchases is more just the exchange rate, when you work it out from the U.S price to your own currency it’s basically the same, as they would just take the average exchange rate rather than changing it every day as the real rate fluctuates
Nope. In Finland the five dollar purchase is 5,49€ which is nowhere near the average exchange rate that falls somewhere around 4,25€
It’s £4.99 UK which is around $6.50 and the national papers are always asking when Google is going to pay it’s fair share of tax ?!
PS, a no-brainer. I got it straight away and spent the donuts on Treestache and Wiggops, having saved enough for Martin’s skin and Angelica
I just have to say (sorry for the in The gutter comment) up until yesterday when I saw it on my iPad I thought the “try latest health fad” was him pooping in the bucket. I finally realized it was leeches. I kept thinking wow they are really pushing the envelope here
I saw it as a great deal especially for those who didn’t even own SVT yet and got him the costume and 120 donuts it is well worth the money especially for those who didn’t already own him prior to the event.
If you don’t have SVT, the deal is SVT + skin + 60 donuts.
The same value as SVT costs 60 donuts.
Fair.
I did not have SVT Before and got 120 donuts. So you get SVT+ skin+120 donuts.
Picked it up. Needed some donuts and and another way to get event currency.
I’m a hard-core donut farmer, and have picked up so many premium items with them. I think it’s time to give back a little and spend $5 on the game that has given me so much pleasure. 🙂
I agree completely
I thought it was a great deal and picked it up!! I usually end up spending cash on donuts during Halloween and Christmas, and this deal was too good to pass up.
I got it and it is worth it
Plus you can get stuff with the donuts without wasting them on a skin
