Well, it finally happened. I have the bug that causes the monorail break, IRS & the moneypile to go back to level 1, not being able to click to characters, etc etc etc. So annoyed at my game.
The one plus side is that it gave me a mini event that I hadn’t done before–the go karts. So I guess I get a bonus building, if I’m allowed to keep it.
On May 21 2014, I posted “looks like a giant conga line and makes me long for a task for everyone except Lisa called “You Don’t Make Friends With Salad” where every character you assign joins the conga line. Maybe Homer and Bart are required to start it and then each additional character earns extra.” (as seen here), and now three and a half years later, Bart and Homer are doing a task called the You Don’t Make Friends With Salad conga line.

Oh my God, awesome The Simpsons episode opening song tonight. A must watch!
My favourite bit from tonight’s episode was Moe’s Tavern in France was called Meaux. We need this building in our game! I also happened to notice that there was a short Quentin Tarantino spoof with the George Baker Selection’s “Little Green Bag” playing in the background. Family Guy did the same thing a couple of weeks ago in the episode “Three Directors” using the same song. I don’t believe this was a coincidence.

Does anyone else hate neighbor visits during an event (non-mini event)? I try to visit all my neighbors every day, mainly for the bonuts and XP before bonuts started to rain like manna and before I started my modest, Safi-inspired KEM farm. It’s not hard to do during regular times but searching some of my neighbors’ Springfields for the little creatures during an event can be maddening. The amount of time required to visit 100 neighbors doubles or triples during events.
You’re killing me here, EA!!! Any tips for searching during events? Any online source of Valium to keep my head from exploding while searching for the little creatures in the middle of my neighbor’s house farm? 😛
Two tricks…there will usually be at least 2 “whatevers” in SH and there are always a disproportionate amount of them near the ocean (within a couple blocks if you scroll down the coast). There is also always one quite near where you land. Once I find the first, I head immediately towards the coast…I usually find 2 more before I even get to the water. Hope this helps.
Anyone who purchased The Off Ramp Inn, the Slaughterhouse restaurant goes well with it…they both have the same design elements.

A couple of weeks ago, there was mentioned “hidden” SH conformity points to be had. I’ve done a search of past posts but haven’t been able to figure out what it means. I brought out all my fully upgraded mansions and car parks but it didn’t make a difference on the conform-o-meter. Can someone enlighten me?

Got totally hosed by my game last night. Accidently sent Daredevil Bart on 8 hr wizard school task. Stored Magic Academy to kick him out & send him on his premium 8hr task (Why on earth does EA put regular pay tasks in w/ premium skins/characters????)
Go into inventory to replace it & guess what???? No Magic Academy. Looked everywhere. Contacted EA support & they cannot find it or replace it. Getting fed up with all of this.

Yes, like I said, I looked everywhere in my inventory.
Something similar happened to me last week. I stored the magic academy and could not find it in my inventory right away. I closed my device and re-opened it and found it in my main inventory, it was somewhere in the middle of the inventory and not in alphabetical order.

Missed last week and nearly this with too much Duff on Saturday for two weeks in a row.
I also have been busy with what was to be a tweak on my Springfield but once I realised how neglected it had become with stuff squished in no particular order other then hours to payouts it became a bit of a major task.
Add to that the fact my tablet is stripped to the bone, cheap thing was full of spyware and constantly off doing it’s own thing so every event I do a full reset, uninstall anything showing as downloaded – not let it near wifi yet – disable almost all the rest, then set up the play store, download the update and disable google services so it’s only running TSTO, keyboard and clock.
Anyhoo, busy dealing with my sad Springfield so left THOH going, then found out late on Thursday that removal brought a mini event – D’oh !!

I’m kinda confused about the railyard stuff. Is it going to reset back to weekly again? On the project board, it says “stay on track. New prizes available on completion” but on the find building screen, it says “stay on track. Weekly prizes reset in 1d 11hr.” I’m going to assume no more free bonuts soon? 🙁
It continues to reset non-stop right now. Time will tell if they go back to the old ways of once per week. But for now, it is non-stop.

I now have in storage 64 long rails, 592 short rails, 474 curves and 438 s-curves. To top it off, I can’t think of any new track I want to put out.
I dont even have a Monorail; I’m just farming donuts – long may they reign

What are the best buildings to farm after kems? Kems are great in the beginning but the cost makes it difficult when you hit max price. Are there others that would offer a better return after kems hit $14,400?
Even at $14,400 per building, the 2,000 base XP return on investment is better than for most buildings or decorations.

I always thought once the price went up it stayed up, so had a couple of very expensive dabbles with KEMs, then finally after seeing a few posts here about checking your inventory if the cost is at $14,400 decided to bite the bullet and sell off 256 and hope for the best.
The joy and relief, as the next placed cost $220, and I finally got how to farm within your income even on a low bonus %

I’m so awesome, I’ve made the list twice every week for the past few months. I’m right after Wookiee in the first wave of greetings to the hosts AND then also sandwiched between Brooders and Sandra (how hot is that?) in the second wave to the non-hosts. I’m an IOS user and have not gotten a daily challenge for a few weeks. This is a known Bug. Anybody out there with the problem get it fixed yet? I have reported the problem to EA again.
I’m liking that the THOH beasts have a 4 hour task. Yeah, I got lots of beast junk in inventory. I do like the idea of recycling, burning, or trash piling the unwanted, unsalable items.

Have an issue with needing dental implants from Cancer treatments and no where near enough to have that done. This puts a crimp on dinner on the Holiday and I normally would be bowling a couple Midnight Marathons bUT need more energy to do that. Will have to settle for Simpsons bowling in game. But all is good as I just celebrated my 5 yr Anniversary Cancer free so life is good.

We used it to help pay for two emergency surgeries for our cats. They offer one for dental that you could look into to help spread out the bill
Do you have a dental school nearby? My parents (who live in NYC) have been getting really great dental procedures (implants, dentures, etc.) from the NYU dental school at a tiny fraction of what it would cost otherwise. The students are great and really friendly and are overseen by very experienced dental professionals, of course. The only downside is that everything takes longer than it would at a regular dentist’s office, but, since they’re all retired, that’s an trade-off they’re able and willing to make.

I also want to add to this that I am really enjoying this Thanksgiving update and close to unlocking the Restaurant + the Steak which I have a design for in my mind with the Meat Billboard, but not sure what to do with the Slaughterhouse Express yet. I am also close to finally being a billionaire in Springfield Heights with only 50 million REV to go which I hope to gain before the next event start. I am also excited for this year’s Black Friday and Christmas so can’t wait to see what is available.

My friend who has the new star wars game mentioned about this and how he’s glad that the gaming public won this battle leading to EA removing the payments at least for now.
Successful AAA games deliver what gamers want. Those that creep over the money grab bar are called out for it, loud and clear, and not purchased. As it should be… Fairness works both ways.
EA has been doing things like this for years and the payouts have typically been awful. They upped the ante with Battlefront and people are finally walking away from the table.
Yup. When we pay $60.00 for a game we expect to be able to play the full game without advantage going to deeper pockets. Just the same way people will not buy a movie on blue-ray knowing they need to pay more to unlock the extra features. When push comes to shove, the gaming community pushes back. The way is should be. Bravo!

Off to musical theatre this afternoon the Broadway touring company is in town. I am lucky to live in an area that has many great theatre and arts opportunities.
Finished the mini event without probllems. Got the big turkey in the cage wish I could release him, he looks sad. Maybe they will pardon him. Happy tapping to all.

I saw Chicago this weekend at the local theater I have a season subscription to! They did a really good job, especially considering that the stage is pretty tiny AND they put the orchestra on stage in the back, making musical numbers with lots of people in them somewhat challenging. (It’s actually a very interesting theater….it was built by a woman on her (family’s?) estate back in the 1800s, so that she and her friends could put on productions. It’s a miniature version of a “real” theater, compete with balcony seating and upper- and lower-level “boxes” (which aren’t actually used for seating, but are sometimes used as part of the productions)).

It was “The Bodyguard” the musical. I have tickets to Broadway Across America. Early next year they are bringing “Hamilton” to our town. I live in a big Metropoltian area and feel lucky to do so.

We need a bonfire where you can burn all the unwanted decorations or we need to be able to turn them in at the recycling center/junk heap.
That would make a good mini game…turn in items for some percent of their value (25%?) and when you get enough recycling credit, you get a chance at different levels of prizes. You might win a prize, you might not, but it would be fun trying for them (and help get rid of surplus inventory).
It’s time to finally bring in the world’s largest toilet so you can use it to flush away all your unwanted bloated inventory

Had a fun start to my morning today. Went down to get some coffee to discover a smashed window in my back door and a pigeon stuck in the kitchen. Managed to catch the silly bird and got it outside. It stayed there for a couple of minutes and then flew off leaving me to clean up behind it! Fortunately it was only a small pane but I’ll have to get a replacement tomorrow and put it in – will be fun doing this in 34° heat! 😄
Also had a busy day pottering in the garden today 😃 Started earlyish because I knew today was going to get up to about 27° so wanted to get things done before it got too hot but needed to get started because the Wrinklies church as well as their Retirement Village are both going to have Christmas markets in December and some of my excess plants can be sold there to raise funds for them. Today I got quite a few things into pots (& when I say pots I mean recycled yogurt tubs 😊): 6 white stinkwoods; 10 lavenders; 2 river indigos; 1 maple (don’t know which type but it’s almost 2m tall); 8 pots of lemon yellow arums (7 seeds in each); 5 pots of dark pink arums (7 seeds in each).
Add this to the things I’d already got into pots and it’s starting to look good! Only transplanted the bigger lavenders so I still have loads of small ones that I will start transplanting later in the week when it is a little cooler. Coloured arum seeds are often infertile but I tested a few of these ones and they seem to be shooting so I’m holding thumbs… If they germinate they definitely won’t be ready in time but as they are nice colours I will probably give some away as gifts myself – even if the plants are still small… 😄 And then I had a lovely swim even though the water was a little chilly (only 24° 😂) after the chilly week we had…
My yellow wild iris is flowering! I’ve put a picture of it below but the picture doesn’t capture the colour properly. It is actually a lovely shade of yellow with dark brown spots (& not as white as it looks in the picture 😕).
I’ve almost finished the mini event – earned the final animation and just finishing off the quest line. Not sure where I’m going to use the new buildings/items but I will have some quiet time from now until the next event starts so looking forward to playing around with things. Also have to make allowance for any items I get over Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Have donuts. Will shop! 😊😊😊

None of them were mine, Mikey, cos I’m not a fan of yogurt at all! But I have a couple of friends, as well as the Wrinkles, who collect them for me. Given the amount of baby lavenders my garden produces I need them 😄😄😄

I sympathize with you! I had a similar experience with a magpie when I looked after my parents house while they were on holiday. The difference was that their cats had got it in through the cat flap. Getting it out was quite traumatic and evolved me calling my brother to come and help, shutting the cats in one room, opening all the windows and eventually getting it to fly out. Clearing up the mess then took about 3 hours!!!
Good luck with the seedlings and look forward to seeing pictures when they grow.

Hi everybody! Happy Sunday! I became very bored with the Halloween/magical event and didn’t finish but no problem, I didn’t really want the stuff anyway. I’m not really looking forward to thanksgiving this year. My nephew is 23 and bought his 1st house and wants to host it. Neither her or his girlfriend really know how to cook so, everybody is pitching in and bringing food. I have to work Friday and Saturday but on Sunday we go to my sister in laws for thanksgiving dinner. The food there is always great and we will drink too much wine. Last year we opted to stay home and I cooked for my husband and daughter. I really wanted to do that this year but I couldn’t turn down my nephews invitation. So wish me luck that I will get to eat good turkey on Thanksgiving.
