Top O’ The Evening to ya! It’s another day in Springfield and another Mystery Box has arrived! This time, it’s a St. Patrick’s Day box full of St. Patrick’s/Boozey themed goodies from years past!
This is a premium box full of your chance to get those limited-time premium character/building/decorations with an Irish/Boozey flair to them. By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside…
This Mystery Box is a great way to get items you may have missed out on from Previous Events at a low price…
And…if you already have everything in the box you won’t see the box in your store.
So for 70 donuts you can have your shot at a variety of St. Patrick’s/ Boozey inspired premium characters, Leprechauns, decorations and buildings from the past, 70 Donuts is equal to or less than the initial value for each item.

Note: This box doesn’t have as many items in it as some in the past have, so I’m going to give a little more detail on these than I usually would….
Wishing Well & Leprechaun- Originally 150 donuts, Should I Buy. This one has been around FOREVER. Was introduced on the very first TSTO St. Pat’s. Leprechaun is an NPC (but when you tap him he sputs out cash) and the Wishing Well offers a 4% bonus on cash and XP
Sham Rock Cafe & Yupprechaun- Originally 120 donuts, Should I Buy. The second Leprechaun introduced to the games in 2014. Does the same thing the other Leprechaun does when tapped. Sham Rock earns $300, 30xp/12hrs
Notre Dame of Springfield & Seamus- Originally 150 donuts, Should I Buy. Seamus is a full character, Notre Dame earns $175, 18xp/6hrs.
Blarney Castle- Originally 115 donuts, Should I Buy. Castle earns $200, 22xp/8hrs. This was originally a Gil deal when it first hit games
Duff Party Liner- Originally 100 donuts, Should I Buy. Earns a 2.75% bonus on cash and XP
Duff Stadium- WAYYYY back in the “Day” this was a prize for the original Whacking Day in 2013…very few people won it. Since then it’s been a store staple available for 90 donuts, Should I Buy. Earns $500, 45xp/24hrs. Also…my favorite “building” in Springfield.
Duff Center Arena- Originally 200 donuts, Should I Buy. Earns income every 6hrs
Bowlarama & Barney- WAYYY back during Christmas 2012, TSTO players could earn Barney for Free. Ever since then he’s been an insanely expensive staple in our premium stores. He’s available regularly for 250 donuts. Should I Buy. Hands down the best combo in the box.
Lotto n’ Liquor & Dewey Largo- This is generally a store staple, available regularly for 150 donuts. Should I Buy
Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy (or details) posts from the past so y’all can see how much they originally cost & what specifically each building/character does.
70 donuts is a MORE THAN fair price for most of the items at least. So my thoughts are, if you have something in there you want…give it a try. You’ll likely get something worth it.

Bought two, got the wishing well and Sheamus.
I have been really lucky with this one. Got the 2 leprechauns and seamus (with the duff party liner in the middle that i didn’t want). I’m torn about the stadium. I don’t want to spend donnuts on the castle or arena.
I already got Barney and Dewey.
Had one go and got Seamus. The one i wanted most so very excited about that 🙂
Probably going to stop here, and save my donuts for something else.

I don’t have Seamus and 4 of the other things, yet the mystery box isnt showing up for me. Where is the box located?

Couldn’t believe it. Had about 7 options in the mystery box. Only wanted Largo. And I got him. Never have I had that kind of luck in this game.

i have 45 donuts, kem farming at level 49, 20 easily on the way from monorail, and bonus rewards. Im trying desperatly to earn another 95 donuts and hopefully get barney
could i make it?
I love this box and the biker characters but I won’t be spending my donuts, I’m just starting to KEM farm (bought myself all the beach hideaways and now I’m stocking up on % bonus) so I do hope by this time next year I have a stupid amount of bonus percentage and donuts saved up that I can legit clear mystery boxes regularly
Not an easy task, but certainly worth doing in the long run. Because I pulled all my bonus and SH items out of storage temporarily (ended up with over 1500%) and cranked up the collider, I was able to mass produce 1000 donuts today with RT Trucks. It may actually take a year to get to that bonus level, but it’s worth the effort.
Yup. Get that bonus percentage up. Right now it may seem like you want to spend all your donuts on characters. And you should definitely buy what you like. What I did is try to buy my prepiuk items that give me bonus percentage when they were on rebate or special and try to get as much bang for my buck that way.. they come through the store or vault regularly. For the longest time I would only buy characters that way too.

Visit a neighbor…when you get back, they should be ok.
I thought I did. The “point” is off center. In “move” mode hit around it until you see a small light green square. Mine appeared on a piece of land not purchased yet.
the crowd uses a really small space. you have to search a little left an down of the crowd.
I really do hate seeing premium characters going cheap. I believe I paid 200 plus donuts Barney 2 years ago.. Gained patience since then, they all come around sooner or later via vault or mystery boxes much cheaper.

Since I started continually farming KEM’s, I’ve been clearing all the mystery boxes. They’re the best value for the donuts. The new character combos are rather meh. They’ll eventually come back with discounts or in mystery boxes with greater discounts.
I was debating whether to buy Wendell or Eric during the last event, but I really didn’t think they were worth 150 donuts and I knew St. Patrick’s was around the corner. I just wanted to get all the leprechauns. I had no idea there would be so many things returning. I’m glad I saved my donuts. Two more items in the mystery box and the Northern Irish Leprechaun and I’m set. Then I might get a Stack of Beer or two and the Duff Beer Truck.
This year mini events are better than the full events. Bart Royale was a decent premise which failed in execution. I got more enjoyment from the Valentine’s and St. Patrick’s updates.
I’ve noticed the Gil deals are a lot more attractive lately in comparison with the new combos too. I have bought most of the Gil deals in the past year instead of the new character combos. Moe’s Express is great. The Barfly’s are always there. I’m really happy we were able to use the Hellfish during Bart Royale. Iw was good to see Burnsee and Grandpa reliving the Hellfish days. Gil used to be a pariah now I welcome him with open arms.

Gil should be given to us at least as an NPC who is always sleeping on a park bench in between promoting his deals. Maybe with a sign next to him saying Will Work for Donuts.
Naturally I just bought Dewey last week and he would have been the only item in my box. Just my luck.
yeah I just got dewey a week or so ago aswell, to help me with the monorail … but I need all of these except dewey and barney … so hopefullyt he box is nice and gives me the char combos first
I’ve got them all already,..first time that’s happened for me, but I’ve only had a device able to play the game on since May 1st of 2016. I was hoping O’Flanagan’s would be available again. Aside from the fact that it’s needed for a 4 hour job for Seamus, I’ve seen it in other Springfields and I just want it in mine!

Yup
I usually don’t try many Mystery boxes. I haven’t had the best luck at getting something I really want. But I took a shot and got Groundskeeper Seamus– the one I hoped for!! I’m thrilled.
Well I gave it a try, some neat stuff, got the Duff Center Arena. Just a little disappointed, it doesn’t do diddly iddily squat. ☹️
Man I was hoping for O’ Flanagan’s pub.
Duff Stadium is also available in the vault this week but for only 65 sprinkles (90 but you get 25 back). So if you want the stadium try the vault first and save those precious donuts.
I’ve been playing since the beginning so I barely remember when I got some things. The Stadium is one I’ve had forever. Love it and Duffman’s task there is very fun.
Tempting… I have none of these, and any one for 70 donuts is a deep discount. But I keep spending my donuts on bonus increasers. Can’t help myself! 😛 (Just got my last beach hideaway placed and fully upgraded!)
seeing as I’m Irish of course I already have everything Irish related. looks like I’ll finally be able to use that barny space costume that’s been setting in my inventory for like ever. an at a huge discount too.

I don’t have the mystery box either but I would say that I have been pleased by these Mystery Boxes for getting items at a cheaper price and I also like emptying them. 😀
Another box I didnt get… I had no idea I had become such a completionist! That’s the 4th one in a row I haven’t had… 😕🍀
So far I think the free event earned prizes will be enough for me for this event…..so I am going to farm to get all of the mystery box items I don’t have.

Didn’t know Barney was free. Doesn’t matter as I was happy to buy him.
