Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So as we teased about 6 minutes into the last episode of Addict’s Live, we received the spoiler/details content packet from EA Friday evening for the next event!
As you may remember, we’ve all signed onto an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with EA over the summer to receive early information about events. Since that time there’s been some confusion about what can/cannot be posted and when. Sometimes dates are specified as to when we can post, and other times no dates are specified. So we’re never quite sure what is and what isn’t under embargo until the event is released.
If you’ve been a follower of this site for a while, you know that I ALWAYS err on the side of caution when it comes to releasing game content. And I’ve been this way even before we started with the NDA. Way back when, a lot of readers commented that they like minor spoilers, but they still like to be surprised with certain elements of the game. After all, who wants to watch a movie you’ve never seen when you already know the ending? Not to mention, often information released in “the files” prior to an event has been changed once it hits the game. So we’ve always taken this cautious approach. As I don’t like to be the bearer of Fake News…
So, what did I say all of that? Well mostly to let you all know why we’ve been very cautious about information released and some other sites may not be as cautious.
Now, all that being said there is some information I feel comfortable releasing to you know that the next event is so close to starting. Some basic information I’ll share at the top of this post, and more spoiler information we’ll cover below the fold. So if you don’t want to know, and you enjoy being surprised, you can still be surprised but you’ll know some rough information about the event that may help you get started.
So here’s the basic info…
-The next event is a Valentine’s Day focused event
-The event starts on January 23rd (10a ET/1500 UTC) and ends February 19th.
-It will follow the same multi-event format Christmas did. (4 acts. 1 week per act)
-Because it’s a multi-event that means there is no crafting.
-The core Simpson’s family will play a role for all 4 acts. (core family = Family + Grampa)
-For Act 1 Lisa, Marge, and Bart are required for the first objective.
-In addition to the core Simpson family, you’ll also want to keep Milhouse, Flanders, Ralph, Skinner, and Martin free for Act 1 tasks.
-As far as how many donuts to save for the entire event…typically events run between 650-800 donuts for all new content. That’s a safe bet to save for any new event. (except for mini-events, those are always way less)
–It’s possible we’ll see the app store update for this today, but the event will not start until Wednesday 1/23 at 10a ET/1500 UTC. So even if you download it today, it won’t start. So don’t go crazy wondering where it is. Just be patient. 🙂

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD…
Ok so now we can get into some more Act 1 Spoilers…
-The Event is officially called Love, Springfieldian Style
-There will be a brand new feature with this event. Something that we’ve long been requesting since the game started. Something that’s as much of a TSTO game changer as the Nuke button was. While there’s no actual specific rule on if I can or cannot tell you about it directly, I’m exercising caution. But I think you guys can picture how much this will help with Springfield Showoffs.
-Mystery Box is coming back. This one launches tomorrow and runs through the end of the event. And is basically similar to the one we had for Valentine’s Day last year.
-Act 1 Prizes include MR. BERGSTROM, Springfield Union Station, and 3 other buildings.
-Act 1 Premiums include Ned’s Parents and Samantha Stankey
-Gil makes an appearance in Act 1, literally tomorrow according to the info packet.
-You’ll need <450 donuts for Act 1
-Another Donut Promo will be available, cash for donuts + extras.

I was hoping we would be able to delete anything in storage. There is too much to scroll.
Just as I guessed but looking forward to it. Any new event has to be good, let’s just chill out.
People will complain about the mini event in a big update… anyway I hope this event will be as good as Christmas!
Ned’s parents! Yay!! I will certainly be purchasing them.
I often see people hoping for a “collect all” option. Isn’t tapping a huge component of this game? Besides, if everything is collected at once, it leaves nothing for your neighboreenos when they visit your town.
Just place a few Kwik-E-Marts, brown houses and or Krusty burgers near the Simpson’s house and there will always be something for your neighbours to tap. It might not be what they want to tap but they still get something to tap. Even if everything gets collected, the quick turnaround time for those buildings should be enough until other buildings are ready.
At age nearly 60 I’ve arthritis in my tapping finger! 2 days so far of total pain! Tried all the rubs for such. Any ideas anyone? Sorry to my neighbours whom I’ve not visited.
…And not one word of warning about spoilers! Pffff.

I would love them to give us some new decorations. Since it’s a Valentine’s Day event then how about some new flowers, roses, tulips etc. A high hedge would be nice and a large tree like an oak.
Yes I agree! I joined the game too late for the original Valentines content. I would love rose bushes and trees. Please EA!
Previously, you’ve been able to grow, like crafting, rose bushes at Cletus’s – when you harvest, you get the decoration. I hope they continue that and for all 4 weeks.
Ooooo I’m really excited.. I’ve been expanding thanks to golden goose so I’ve got loads of room .. I have now actually moved stuff about which I never do as it’s way too time consuming and I’m very happy I’ve started to do so, even if it’s only a section at a time lol.. so bring on the event.. I loveeeee having new stuff to earn.. thanks for the heads up as always.. 🤗😊

Ik I can’t judge with literally 3 paragraphs of text telling me about an event. But as much as I didn’t hate the Christmas event I would like a real event, something about mini events just really loses my interest. Maybe it’s the fact I didn’t play for a whole week during Christmas and still got everything with three days to spare. It just gives me no reason to come back every four hours knowing checking once or twice a day will give it to me easliy. But who knows maybe this event will be my favorite ever, as Christmas wasn’t bad I just didn’t feel as engaged as I normally do. Personally I feel if they are going to do a mini event keep it like that, I liked the spring cleaning ALOT more than I liked the Christmas event( mainly because I didn’t feel like it was dragged out)

Thanks for the post. It was in fact by accident that i arrived here tonight (it’s 20:15 and i should soon go to bed since tomorrow morning they predict snow and tbe commuting could be very bad). I think also they could introduce the super zoom as Amanda said, i would love that. On a phone however it won’t be that good unless you can see very closely.
The new format i like (tho i didn’t get the last prize of the x-mas event) real live is still more important.
Donut wise will be kinda hard, if about minimum 600 will be needed only for the first act. Let’s see. Looking forward for the event

I can tell you that if you’re expecting it to be a better zoom out you’ll likely be disappointed.

I’m not terribly excited about Valentine’s Day as such but it seems there are nice things in store for us with this event. I don’t have enough dounts but maybe I get lucky with the mystery box 🙂
