After a week hiatus, we finally have some new content in Springfield! A new mini-event went live in our games yesterday morning…State of Despair. Of course, an all-new mini-event means all new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Apparently, Governor Bailey is trying to give Springfield the old boot! How will Springfield respond? Well, you have to read the dialogue and play along to find out!
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is your typical standard mini-event. Follow the questline to unlock prizes and call it a day…until the next event.

After (roughly) 7 years of TSTO, we finally were hit with an update today that brought a MUCH desired and requested feature to our pocket-sized Springfields! The “Collect All” is FINALLY here!
This comes to us via the Sky Finger monument…afterall Springfield knows who’s really in control of their town!
Let’s take a look at this new feature, including how you unlock it and how it all works…
The new mini-event is live in Springfield! Provided you’ve downloaded the app store update, that hit yesterday, the event should start up for you when you launch Springfield.
Things kick off by requiring you to build a Brown House. And then you’ll launch the mini event, with the first task requiring Homer to build a Mystery box, 4hrs. And you’ll need Springfielders to collect State Pasta.

A quick note about the start time. Totally my mistake guys I’m really sorry. I wasn’t thinking about time conversion yesterday, and saw 1400 and was like “ok that’s 10am et”. It’s not. Daylight Savings Time hasn’t started yet, in the US. It starts during this event (March 10th), so EA accounted for Daylight Savings in the start time despite it not starting yet. Which means, when this event ends 1400 UTC will be 10am ET, but when it started 1400 UTC is 9am ET. So what’s the point of this? Well a really complicated way to say I’m really sorry I screwed up the start time. And don’t forget, in the US, Daylight Savings starts on March 10th.
Note on the Amazon Zoom issues: Some players are reporting it’s fixed, others are saying it’s not. I think it depends on if you’re using Kindle or Fire and which version of each. But honestly, I’m not sure. I think if they fixed it on some, others may be following. If you can hold out a little longer…

So, we’re sitting here in a bit of a TSTO holding pattern. Nothing new has hit so we’re all just kind of waiting to see what happens next. Not much to do but plan some redesigns and work on older questlines you may have avoided.
For those of us who are, relatively, content with our designs and have finished any and all questlines available in the game, this downtime can be a bit boring. So I thought I’d bring a little excitement to our community with a bunch of Simpsons Trivia!
Over the last few days, I’ve be posting a series of Simpsons Trivia questions so you could test your knowledge of our favorite yellow family! We’ve now reached the final day of our downtime trivia challenge! As new content is expected to hit today, this will be the last day of Trivia for this round.
For those who’ve enjoyed the trivia, I’ll be doing what I can to make this a weekly/bi-weekly feature on the site. I really enjoy that so many of you are having fun with it, and this site is supposed to be all about the fun, right?! Anyway….time to brush up on your Simpsons skills because today’s trivia starts now!
Day 3 of our Downtime Simpsons Trivia is in the books, time to see how y’all stacked up with your fellow Addicts! Before we get to the leaderboard, I want to remind you that this is for fun. There’s no prize, other than bragging rights, for coming in first place with this round of Trivia. As we finish out the trivia I may use Random.org to give away a couple of (small) prizes, but that’s not what it’s about right now.
Right now this just something fun to keep us all entertained during the downtime and to bring the Addicts Community a little closer together. 🙂
Update: (others are saying this isn’t accurate, it’s still zoomed so 🤷♀️. I don’t own an Amazon device so I can’t check) Per Matt Goff in the comments, this update fixes the super zoom on Amazon devices!

So doing some checking of the files and an update has hit the files. Important to note there’s nothing to download yet it’s now live in app stores but there’s no change in the game right now. So if you download the update you’ll only see the splash screen change for now.
This is a MINI EVENT and will start tomorrow, February 27th at 10am ET (1400 UTC). It will run, just under 2 weeks. The end date is listed as March 12th (Tuesday), at 10am ET (1400 UTC)
I’ll peruse the files a bit and give you all some start time details as soon as I can. But an update is coming!
You can also get a glimpse of what characters are coming by checking the character collections in game. Someone Safi JUST asked for on the last Addicts Live…
And that’s it for now. Be prepared tomorrow for a mini-event to hit around 10am ET (1400UTC), and prior to the update the final round of Trivia will be up to keep you busy until this goes live!
Oh and keep Homer free. You’re going to need him for some 4hr tasks tomorrow….
