Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

I also got a little freaked out by Imgur… When you sign up with Twitter, it asks you to give permission for the application to “read tweets from your timeline”, “see who you follow, and follow new people”, “update your profile”, and “post tweets for you”. Umm… that’s a bit creepy. I get the post tweets for you bit, cause lots of sites have “tweet this” quick clicks, but the rest sounds really weird. Is it a program reading my tweets? Would I be choosing who I follow from the Imgur site? Or is it just random people being added? Why would they need to update my profile?
Big Brother technology is creepy. Sometimes, I miss the simplicity of the floppy disk, dial-up age… I don’t miss having to wait 6 hours for a song to download on my iPod, but at least back then I didn’t have to wonder whether my music application was stalking me. At least, with new tech we get games like tsto 🙂 And digital or HD everything… I don’t know how I lived 18 years with a rabbit ear TV 😝

Did not work with paper tape. Punch cards, check. Tape (magnetic) reels, check. Cassettes, check. Floppies that were floppy, check. Huge hard drives (multi-disk platters), check.

You would be surprised how long technology has been used by governments to spy on their citizenry! Anyway we’re not supposed to talk politics here so I’ll say no more on that.
Speaking of dial up internet, first time I downloaded a song it took all night, so 6-8 hours, can’t say I miss that either.

So I got Mona in the mystery box and she didn’t have a quest that came with her. I looked it up and apparently she does have a quest, so is there anything I can do to trigger it?
Maybe put her in storage and then take her out.
Nope, apparently her quest was directly attached to an event in 2016 so she just doesn’t have a quest if you got her later. Also apparently there’s items from that event that directly effect the task list and her questline and I don’t have those either. She also has a side quest with ghost Maude but I don’t have her either so I got nothing.
any one else having problems with the park engineer? he only has 4 or 8 hr jobs now. he just started sticking out when I send everyone on a 12 hr job
I noticed that his 24 hr job was missing…happened with this update, I think.☹️

In the past month it’s occured to me how much the cumulative effect of buying multiple Burns’ Mystery Boxes works out in the LONG-run. I’m only at 503% bonus now but have gained 70% since November ’18.
It hurts SO much to pay out donuts on repeat but it can work out well.
I always stop after winning 30 Bonuts though, even if I spend 60 to get there.

Fyi,.,,What really helps with the Springfield Portrait is sending it to a 50 inch TV. Many ways to do this..Much more detail then on your phone or laptop screen.
I won Mona Simpson from the Valentine’s day box. I think she was a free character a few years ago.
However She had no jobs or tasks appear. Only tasks that started were for Maude Flanders ghost.
It started with Maude saying “it’s nice to see another ghost in town” Followed by 4 jobs for Maude’s ghost to complete. Mona had no jobs to start?
I assume I haven’t unlocked something to her trigger tasks?
I really, really, really wish they would get rid of the mountain side that divides Springfield and Springfield Heights. It makes no sense to have it there. And please expand Springfield Heights area vertically. ThankYou
I have 30 Springfield Heights buildings gathered in a corner out of the way in Springfield. Just to have their bonus applied.
Fancy side of the mountain is full already. No way to fit them all over there without it looking like a mess.
I do find it strange that they have not expanded SH with Token Land Tiles, but I sort of like the separation. It allows me to feel like I’m not placing things in Springfield that should not be in Springfield. For example, I used it to make my ISL. (I could use more ISL land.)
Love the screenshot feature. It’s helping me redesign a bit. I wish the characters showed up a bit better; I’ve worked hard at setting little scenes in my town.
Quick question for anyone. I’m still at a loss on how to get the last task for Santa’s little helper? I thought it would open after awhile but it hasn’t happened. Thx.
It only unlocks when Marge and Maggie are driving the sleigh. So send them and then you can add slh

Hi all. Having a decent week I guess. Dealing with some Kidney Stones now and that’s always no fun. So not sure how I feel about the event. It’s actaully way too easy(prob the easiest event I’ve played my time with TSTO), the prizes are just weird to me as well…very nonsensical. I guess we will have to wait to see the next three events. Anyways hope everyone has a great week.
So for the spring cleaning quest, I didn’t unlock Alice before it ended, but it still let me unlock her after. However, she doesn’t have ANY tasks available; all are locked behind a quest. Any idea if there is a way to make her do anything in my town?
Try storing her and then pulling her out…it might trigger her quest (which will unlock her tasks). Good luck😁.
Thanks Ebron, I have the same problem and EA were pretty useless in terms of helping with this issue. I will try what you have suggested.
This happened to me with Everyman back in September or October. It took ages for EA to fix it – at least well into the Halloween event. There’s probably nothing to do but wait, they will catch on eventually. Reporting it to them might make that go quicker! (I personally didn’t)
Question about nuking — the land that I have opened is very un-geometric. If I nuke, does the land stay as is or does it get converted to land tiles which I can then reshape? Thanks and hope everyone is having an awesome Sunday!
It stays unlocked as is. You don’t get land tiles in lieu of them re-locking those unlocked land tiles.

Seems to happen more often during major events, I guess more people must be playing the game at those times.

Pretty happy with the prizes in this act, particularly the school and observatory are nice buildings.
Free landtokens from GGR is allowing me to speedily develop the new area at the bottom right of my world ( South East corner ? ) which I had started with the land tokens from the Christmas event.
I can sympathesize with Amazon Kindle users receiving poor service as it seems to be a common theme for the Kindle platform to be treated as the Cinderella of the mobile operating systems, with updates and bug fixes coming later than with android and iOS.
Placed the new school this morning…the playground from the previous event looks like it was made for this building…lucky us!

I love it! My playground has been through several trials and always ended up back in inventory. I also have the too many schools to find places for dilemma. Think I’ll scoot to your town to see what you did with the Childrarium.

I play my game on my Huawei P20 which went off for repair with a fault with GPS. Got it back yesterday so I obviously reinstalled my game on this device to find I now have the zoom issue. So frustrating as my old Samsung isn’t suffering with the issue but its so slow I haven’t the patience to tap my whole Springfield. Just SO FRUSTRATING GGGGGGRRRRRRRR

I’m very sorry to hear that the camera is zoomed on your Kindle Fire. I completely understand where you’re coming from. Unfortunately, this has affected a lot of players that are using Kindle Fire, and as of now, there are NO PLANS TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, I’m afraid. You should be able to manually zoom out a little bit. There is not much more I can offer you, sadly. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

So very frustrating. Considering this zoom issue, I actually have a much better zoom on my kindle fire than my new IPad. The downside is the Kindle is very, very slow. Would love to have the best of both worlds.
I play on a Fire tablet too and I thought for sure they would fix this problem. You can not design your town at all. All I can do is “dump” the new buildings on free land, it’s impossible to do any designing! I sure hope they reconsider their plans to not fix this issue and FIX IT!!!!!

I left this comment on the buy thread, but I’m adding it here as well. I contacted EA about the zoom issue and was told they are aware of it, but it is a ” manual ” issue and not something that can be ” fixed”. Like we all forgot how to zoom out!! But I was offered 10 donuts if I agree that it’s me and not them…. I’m going to keep writing and hope for a different answer, and suggest other fire tablet users do the same, I can’t help but to be optimistic that we get a real Fix.

Finish act 1 this morning, not excited about this event, was to easy, i need to create new areas, need the land on Springfield heights to open up, lots of building i havent placed properly yet, all in all not very good.

So many buildings that clearly belong in SH. So little space. Sigh.
It made more sense to me to move all the upscale stuff out of SH and start a Cypress Creek section (that can be expanded) on one side of my town. I turned SH into an Effcot/Around the World/Movie Production area instead, since that stuff is pretty well static now. Seems to be working well…just added more event stuff to Cypress Creek (after opening up a few more land tile there) and there’s room to grow.😁
I concur. I’ve been saying for years they really need to open that up more.
Why keep the SH buildings in the allocated SH space? I have many of them in the main part of my Springfield, though I still have a bunch of the ugglier SH buildings bunched up in a corner of the SH area.
