Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
New Feature Alert!
Tapped Out is a game we’ve all been playing for years, but how well do you really know the game? Can you guess buildings/characters/items based on sound? Or are you like me, and play without your sound turned on so you don’t have a clue which sound goes with what? Well, we’re about to find out!
Each week we’ll be bringing you a Name that TSTO Tune game, based on an era of TSTO of our choosing. Each sound effect for the week will all be from a certain time period in the game/event, which we will disclose to you, so base your guess off of that knowledge.
Now without further ado, let’s get to the inaugural Name that TSTO Tune game!
All questions from this week’s game are based on the initial release of TSTO. So content released via Levels 1-20. Try not to cheat, see if you can guess the sound purely on your listening skills alone.
Need a refresher? Our Walkthroughs Page has you covered!

Hi Everybody! It’s been over a year, I think, since I last played TSTO, and I’m thinking of getting back into it. How is the game going? Should I bother, or is it not worth it anymore? What’s changed in the last year plus?
Welcome back, nothing has really changed here on TSTOAddicts but it has been an interesting year in TSTO with features, event structures and content. There is a lull in the game which has been around since April 24th which was when the last “update” ended and before that was another 2 week lull.
Very long comment alert so you can skip to the last paragraph if your not interested in knowing some of the features and content added to the game.
The features we got over the last year were:
* Krustyland was moved to Springfield and depending on how much land you owned in K-land you get compensated in land tokens (if you had all K-land land then you can get 100 land tokens).
* Group Storage which allows you to store designs as a group in your storage.
* A building was released that generated donuts (Lard Lad Donut Factory) during Black Friday, 6 donuts every day which cost money to get.
* Another building was released (Golden Goose Realty) which gave out land tokens (1 every 12 hours) at the start of this year but its no longer available.
* Town Portrait was added which you can use to take and save a panoramic picture of your whole town on your device so you don’t need to stitch photos together of your whole town.
* The Sky Finger Monument was added that cleared all buildings’ (not characters’ completed jobs) income once a day.
* Finally, the Yearbook Mystery Box (YMB) was added that included up to 737 items in it including permanent and limited time content at the price of 30 donuts per item.
During Christmas and Valentine’s Day, it used a different structure than mini and major events called Multi Event which is like a 4 week mini event that removed crafting, tappables, neighbour actions etc. from major events with each week containing a new story from a character like Willie, Bart, Snake, Marge and others that brought content (prizes, premiums, new and returning) every week and allowed you to get all the prizes throughout the entire update (if you were still working on prizes from week 1 then you can still do it on week 4 along with prizes from weeks 2,3 and 4) plus it added several land tokens on the prize tracks.
The major events we had in 2018 were: Itchy & Scratchy Land, Moe’s Ark or the Zoo update, and Halloween. Prior to I&S Land was The Springfield Jobs and Bart Royale.
The mini events in 2018 were Who Shot Mr. Burns Pt. 3, Poochie’s Dog Dayz, Super Powers and Thanksgiving. Before WSMB was Homer vs. 18th Amendment (St Pats update) and The Buck Stops Here. In 2019, there was Not Yet Spring Cleaning, State of Despair, and A Classless Reunion.
We also had some episode tie ins and week long updates in between them.
Characters we got over the last year included: Mary Bailey, Judge Harm, Alice Glick, Lewis Clark, Mr. Bergstrom, Samantha Stankey, Ned’s Parents. Chazz Buzzby, Don Brodka, Lee Carvallo, Young Marge, Barney, Artie and Abe, Moe’s family, some more universal monsters (Amenhotep, Werewolf and their wives), Everyman, Allison Taylor, Kitenge, Sarah Wiggum, Knifey Spooney, Poochie, Itchy, Scratchy, Tina Ballerina, Corporal Punishment, Ronald Reagan, Dave Shutton, Aristotle Amandopolis, the Pope, Guy Incognito, Mexican Duffman, Howard K. Duff, Meathook, Ramrod, Wendell Borton, Larry, Sam, Jeremy Jailbird, Birch Barlow and Rose Quimby.
Buildings that were around were: Juvenile Courthouse, Springfield Union Station, some Shelbyville buildings, Lil’ Vicki’s School of Dance, Box Factory, Springfield University, Toys B This, Kid First Industries, Circus of Values, Boat House, Uncle Moe’s Family Feedbag, Monstromart, Hellscape, Tweenlight Inc, Dracula-La Land, Odin’s of Shelbyville, Springfield Aquarium, Atlantis, Tower of Babel, Fireworks Factory, T.G.I. McScratchy’s, Itchy’s 70’s Disco, Springfield Shopper, Plunderer Pete’s, Westminster Abbey, Leaning Tower, Poppa Wheelie’s, Snuggler’s Cove, Outlands buildings, and some Capital City buildings. Along with a load of decorations, costumes, item skins, land and item limit increases.
I’d say if you prefer content over events then it is worth it to get back into the game especially since lots of the content is in the YMB at a very good price and some of the new features can make TSTO more enjoyable for you to play. If you prefer events over content then it isn’t worth it to continue playing since the most recent updates have been more shorter and have longer gaps in between each one when one ends and another begins. The game is also less demanding this year when it comes to doing tasks and events than last year so that is something to consider on how often you like to play. I hope this offers some advice at least to you. 😀
WOW~ Nice job!
you left out the current “Lulliness,” but otherwise, great recap.
Thanks Patric, I tried to keep it short by including some things from events and only included things that were interesting. I thought the lulliness was not worth mentioning but some people do like it and some hate it, I’m in the middle since I got yearbook items in my storage to keep me on TSTO frequently.
Wow man, thanks for the recap. I’m glad it sounds a little less “Addicty” I got sucked into MCOC, hard.
I mostly play with the sound down, so who knows…
The Lemon Tree?
Kwik-e-mart?
Chief Wiggum?
Androids Dungeon?
First Church of Springfield? 🤷♀️
As I wrote yesterday the 3 of you do an outstanding job of keeping TSTO entertaining unlike EA. Thank you for your time and dedication! CBCAB.
I hardly ever play with the sound on anymore. These are guesses based on what I can remember. 1. A, 2. B, 3. C, 4. B, 5. B
I’ll give it a shot
CBAAB
Not sure though
CBABB. Wasn’t sure on the 3rd one between CBG and Frink so I went with Frink but I will say it is 100% definitely Hank Azaria’s voice. 😂
Thanks for the post Alissa. I always like hearing sounds from buildings, decorations and characters in TSTO.
A, B, A, A, C ??!!!… lol I thought I may know a lil somethin’ Haha, I play without the sound, but i used to play with it… it’s fun just to guess and I like the entertainment too while we all wait to see what’s next!!.. right or wrong answers, IT’S ALL FUN!!! 😂😀😁🤗
CBCAB
I have already thanked Patric, but thanks Alissa for keeping us entertained while we wait for what’s coming 😊.
C/tree, B/KEM, C/CBG, B/Android’s Dungeon, B/Church…it’s like playing with the Farmer see and say toy. I couldn’t get any of the 3 guys to make that sound. It sounded like Cletus to me, but Cletus didn’t make that sound either so I went with the Comic book guy.
I play mostly without sound too. So here are my guesses:
A B C A C
1. C ( The Lemon Tree )
2. B ( The Kwik E Mart )
3. C ( Comic Book Guy )
4. A ( The Library )
5. B ( The First Church of Springfield )
C B A A C?
I always have the sound off, so I’m basically guessing.
C…B…C…A…C
I’m surprise lots of people don’t play it with sound, I think the sounds are the most fun out of the game next to task actions 😉
I think a lot of us tap in places where we aren’t supposed to…like work. No sound makes it more discreet.
So true
I like this game! However, being spoiled by instant internet gratification, I wish we could vote and get results like the trivia quizzes.
Just a suggestion/request, feel free to tell me to go Pick-a-Nose 😁

lol i thought about that, but I like the suspense of having to wait to see if you’re right or wrong. We’ll see how it goes for a few rounds…
I will have to wait until I am in my home PC. Workers around me might think I am actually playing the game.. lol.
I like this idea as well, but I also have always played with the sound down. So educated best guesses for me, doesn’t make it any less fun. And Alissa….we can pick our noses and do this at the same time! Have a nice day everyone!
I don’t think you want to know what I originally wanted to write instead of that 😂😂😂
A,B,C,A,C would be my guesses. I also play generally with the sound off but not always. I went with where I would expect to hear the sound rather than any real knowledge of the sounds in the game.
C-B-A-A-B
Din’t see your answer Charles, but I said the same thing.
I always play with the sound down so I’ll just be guessing for the fun of it!😀
That is my list exactly! Every time I pass by them I have to tap at least twice. I would add “the improvised snare” but it’s more of an animation then sound.
Forget silly games just get on with TSTO.
Um…well we’d love to, but alas…WE’RE NOT EA. We have zero control over the game. So what would you like us to do while we wait for EA to do something? Pick our noses?

c,b,a,a,b
1.C. The lemon Tree
2. B. Kwik-E-Mart
3. A. Frink
4. B. Androids Dungeon
5. A. The Springfield Library
I’ll probably do horribly here but here we go
1.The lemon Tree
2. Kwik-E-Mart
3. Frink
4. Androids Dungeon
5. First Church of Springfield
I love the sounds from items, my favourite two are Homers Ballet and the Screaming Catterpillar 😀
Now this is a cool idea! I admit I mostly guess, since I play without sounds XD
If I were to guess, I’d say A-B-A-A-C.
Thanks a lot Alissa! <3
