Well, it’s the Wednesday after a multi-event ended…so it must be mini-event update time in TSTO! Yes, an all-new mini-event has hit our games, so let’s check out what’s in store for us this time…
Sorry guys I was out running errands and didn’t get a chance to post this when it went live!
It’s after 11am here on the East Coast of the US, so Pride 2020 is officially live in our games! Remember to download the app store update if you haven’t already done so. You won’t see this mini-event until you’ve downloaded the update. And if you don’t see the update available try these steps: Hard close your App store, clear your cache, restart your device. When it reboots, open your app store and search Tapped Out.

Pride 2020 Mini-Event Ends June 3rd
Things kick-off for Pride with some dialogue about Alternate Springfield Pride…
KentBrockman: Kent Brockman here live from the Alternate Springfield Pride where Mayor Quimby will kick off a first-of-its-kind pride parade, that’s not a parade at all. It’s a race! Think track and field but with a very big twist, which is that all the contestants must be in drag. A drag race, so to speak. Where they came up with that we’ll never know!
Quimby: What a great turn out. I never knew there were so many of you proud people. Thank you again for being here, and I look forward to leaving.
Lisa: This is truly beautiful. The gentle simplicity of people loving who they want to love.
Homer: Aww honey, that’s too bad.
Lisa: Dad, you’re not even listening to me!
Homer: I meant too good.

Did anyone else notice the job Attend Coffee Meet-up for Retired Homer disappeared after the update? I kinda like having him and Empty-nest Marge together during my 4 hour jobs. Especially since they are 2 of the few people who do not have the job Drink and Babysit.
Another pride event….another year without John Waters and his camp vintage store. Im excited to get more rainbow balloons though!!!!🎈🎈🎈
Why would they include J. Edgar Hoover? It was never actually confirmed that he was gay and he actually threatened people that accused him of it. The story about cross dressing wasn’t confirmed either. Either way, even if he was gay… he was far from proud of it.
I updated the app , but weirdly the event won’t start for me. I’ve logged in and out. Restarted iPad. Homer and Lisa both free from tasks. Any ideas?
I have an iPhone and can’t get the game to update. I’ve tried clearing the cache, hard closed the game and the app store, but the app store “open” button just takes me back to my game with the wrestling splash screen. Can I uninstall and reinstall without losing anything? My iPhone says if I delete the app I will lose its data. Help!
If you have an EA account you should be able to do a uninstall and reinstall without losing anything.
You should not lose any data. I’ve deleted the app on on several devices & had no problems.

I must confess when I heard the return of a Pride Event even a mini one, I started to draft a Musing Post, but after reading the top warning, I guess it is still to soon to dive into the possibilities of other probable skins for the next time the Pride Event occurs (I was just going to stick with all the “Drag” and hints there of regarding the main cast of characters.
Tempted to just list them in a reply.. but if this, nor that list appears I completely understand.
Oh the Possibilities of other skins they could have used for this update (Examples):
Homer dressed as Marge a few times, including wearing her wedding dress and Sunday Best-Outfit along side of Ned wearing Maudes Sunday Best-Outfit both mowing eachother’s lawns.
Bart imagined needing a crowbar and a cocktail dress to free his mother from prison; and in “Homerphobia” he and Mulhouse were Jumping on the bed wearing drag. Bart also had a pink skirt and pink socks (I think it was “Two Dozen and One Greyhounds”) and also Bart and Lisa accidentally had their clothes in an episode.
(We already have the Lisa skin from “Girls Just want to have Sums” episode)
(Actually I’ll exclude noting the skins we already have of others in drag, but there is a handful)
Yes there are other Martin Prince probable outfits including being dressed as Lindsey Borden.
But Abe Simpson has some interesting skin possibilities, such as an undercover cabaret dancer during WWII, and him having a dream as if he was a saloon girl with two cowboys fighting for his hand in marriage, maybe even the time he was in “A league of their own” parody with Jasper ; and let’s not forget what happens to Abe when he runs out of his pills.
There is Patty in her white tuxedo when she was about to get married to that woman (not going to spoil it, if you hadn’t seen the episode).
Barney at one of his lowest drunken moment as he was dressed as Marge, (I’m not going to include Homer’s “think unsexy thoughts moment” while in the elevator with Mindy.

I’m sure there were plenty of other drag moments. But besides the stuff we already have in our game those moments came to mind as a possible Drag/skin event (but I guess EA wanted to make this event short and didn’t want to Drag it Out). :p
And on a side note (not to do with Drag per se, if we had John in the Pride event that would have been Devine 😉

Really want more of the Drag characters to be in the game, like Barbara Streisman, Fiona Adams Apple and Queen Chantè.
3 updates in a row I had to delete the app and reinstall it to be able to open it
I hear you. It just took me an hour from first tap on the icon to open the game to actually getting characters to collect wigs. During this time I’ve restarted my less than 6 month old device, disconnected and reconnected the internet connection, and finally uninstalled and reinstalled the game. They are called Electronic Arts after all, surely they could figure out how to stop the game crashing, or “fail(ing) to connect to server” every time the provide an event update.
This… I mean I know it’s a mini event, but 0 new characters and Hoover doesn’t even help with the event in the slightest? It’s basically “Decorations/Skins: The Eventening”.
Great a new update. Glad to play it. I’ve been playing since this game came out. My base is massive and lm having to squeeze my stuff together as we can’t use our money to buy land 😡. I have 2 land tickets but very little space. Tons of land to get. TSTO please let us use Money for land. Land tokens don’t help with these mini quest that we get and all new buildings. And what do l do with my loot from game ? Lvl 889 🤔. And can’t sell things we don’t want 😢. Do with that said …..let the games begin. 😬
You have plenty of suggested Game App changes needed I agree with …… an I encourage you to bring them up at the official TSTO Facebook Page (EA does take notice of good suggestions offered up in a good way).
100% agree we need that “vacant space” next to Springfield Heights available (as well as Item Limits increased). There are numerous items I have Stored that I wish we could just delete – I don’t care about getting 💰 back for it).

I really like the look of this update since I loved the last 3 pride updates in TSTO. I got most of the returning stuff in 2018 but I’m glad the rainbow and pride decorations have come back since I don’t have many of them. I like the look of the first 3 prizes and will probably redesign my pride area for a third time to add them.
The only disappointment I have is that I was hoping J. Edgar Hoover and Judge Constance Harm would’ve been in the mystery box instead of returning to the store full price (a rebate could’ve been nice as well).
The 2 outfits for Marge and Homer are nice since they both haven’t had one in a while. The Mysterious Waylon and Draggle Rock look cool since Smithers hasn’t had a new outfit since the pride update 3 years ago.
The Pride Car shaped like a missile is the only “meh” (it’s just dumb Decor Event that goes into Storage for me) ….. but there are plenty of “new things” (Buildings, Interactive Decor, Character Skins that are amusing) turning this into a Drag-tacular Pride 2020! 😀👌🏻🌈
Pride crosswalks are available for purchase every 12hrs at the ‘One Night Stan’s’ building, for $20,000 each. I have over 1000. They start out all white, so you tap one slat and it turns red. In 3 hrs, you tap the next slat, and it will turn the next color, which I think is orange. Repeat until all slats are a different color of the rainbow.

I got the pride crosswalks last time, and love them. I can make more at Stan’s but am too disorganized to make more roads.
Am tempted by the rainbow hydrants. Might try the new flags since they seem always unfurled in all their multicolor glory.
I like to keep Smithers roller skating, so am not sure about his new costume.
So if I dont have One Night Stans, then I cannot purchase the colorful pride crosswalk? Just confirming, thanks.

At the start of lockdown i nuked my town for a massive redesign which let me expand a lot of areas. I was struggiling to fill out my Pride area so had been hoping for an event with new buildings to add to this part of my town. Would have liked the Yupprechaun and Sham Rock Cafe to make a return at some point.
Plus other characters i am missing which have never return like Vicki Valentine and her School of Dance, Nikki McKenna and the Springfield Skate Park and Samantha Stanky and St. Sebastian’s School for Wicked Girls.
After this event I hope we get a event which gives us Seth & Munchie and the Groovy Grove juice farms(with pond for skinny dipping!) or a Mr.Burns event giving us Larry Burns and Mr.Burns’ mother!

Well, considering the fact that Covid-19 has canceled Pride 2020 for real practically everywhere ….. it’s great to get a Surprise Pride Update (the only thing that could make this Drag Race inspired Mini Event better is if we had a Rupaul Character Combo Gil Deal – but I’ll enjoy the new Content since I have 4,000 🍩’s to spend and J. Edgar Hoover is at the top of the spend sprinkles list!) 😁👌🏻

I’m having fun with this Mini Event – yes there are technical difficulties due to obvious reasons (so I rushed thru to the last 2 Event Prize Tasks + spent sprinkles on what I wanted + managed to 🍩 farm 1/3 back what I spent – that’s 3,300 🍩’s left to save for later!)

I have to admit that EA’s Networks are not handling the demands …. I did playfully heckle on Twitter @EAHelp until I got a friendly Tech Support to admit “yes we have issues” (I only Tap once a Day – if that – too many Bart Simpson Screens, even at 1 am – but this Mini Event is still funny!)

Even thought it’s always just a mini-event, this event is always the one I look forward to the most throughout the year.
Can you only have a limited number of Crosswalks? They aren’t appearing for me in the store.
the Crosswalks never left the Game App (they’re in the Decor section), but there is plenty of Content returning (needs some 🌈 trees or flags? they’re back! 🌈 fire hydrants seem new to me!) Dialogue is very funny as it seems the writers truly let their wit go full tilt for this!😁👌🏻
Same – I can see the normal cross walk fine but not the rainbow one. I’ve recently picked this up again and was jealous of the rainbow cross walks in others’ towns.
Is there a quest you have to complete first to get the rainbows in the crosswalk? I dimly recall something like that when I got them in a previous event.

The pride crosswalks are generate from the building ‘One Night Stans’. If you don’t have it, it’s available in the pride mystery box.
Tap on the building an select to generate sidewalks. After they are placed the colors appear every few hours by tapping a paint can over the sidewalk. Each time you tap the can, a new colored stripe is generated.
Not particularly thrilled with this event mainly because I think the majority of the prizes were an afterthought. The storyline might be good as I kind of like the play on words. Nevertheless, the prizes should fit in that area of my town.
That’s weird because I didnt update my game and it still showed up.
I don’t see myself trying to hard to get these prizes. Not because I have any issue with the subject matter, but simply because the prizes are rather lackluster – just skins for a few characters who already have many skins. I would have gladly dropped 150d for another one-off character, but I’m not going do that just for another skin. I give this update a resounding “meh”.
Hopefully, there is something bigger looming on the horizon. (One of these days, maybe they’ll finally get to Joey Jo-Jo Jr Shabadoo.)

Okay, so I bought the Draggle Rock and now the questline says I’ve got to buy Burns Mansion, which I’ve had for years. I go to the spot where my Burns Mansion is located and it has disappeared. It’s not even in my inventory! I assume Smithers is gone, too. Wtf, EALPs! Anyone else having this problem?
