Correction on the dates. Just got this from EA: Hitting App stores the 13th, Live on the 14th.
So late last week, we received an event packet from EA. And just moments ago EA sent out an email saying it was ok to release some of the info contained in that packet. And guys, I’m happy to finally be able to share some stuff with you…because I hate keeping secrets from y’all. So, with that being said:

ITEM LIMITS ARE INCREASING BY 1,000!!!! (from 13k to 14k)
From EA: “We know this has been long requested, and we are pleased to grant that wish!”
And now some other info I’m thrilled to finally be able to share with you guys…
The THOH XXXI Event is set to launch next week. With the files arriving in the App Store on October 12th (Monday), and the event going live on October 13th (Tuesday). Updating in the app store on the 13th (Tuesday) and going live on the 14th (Wednesday)

That’s about all I can share that this particular moment (I can share more on Monday…), but this looks like it’s going to be awesome!

I may have missed it since I try to avoid this place as much as possible….Patty…I don’t believe I’ve seen any inquiries regarding more land….nice to see item limits increased…any word on land? ….Mojumba?
Well. 1,000 item increase isn’t going to help me! lol. How about opening up some new land too. I really need more of both. I’m making so many unwanted changes to my town because I have to keep downsizing.
What happens when you hit the nuke button? Sometimes I just want to start over. But not at the expense of all my stuff. You keep it all right?

Maybe, but they haven’t in nearly 2 years so I wouldn’t hold my breath on it.
I never thought they’d do what they did with the Yearbook. So all I can do is hope!
P.S. some different colored ground tiles would be sweet! We could really pull certain themed areas together and it’d be easy to do.

I came here to say the same thing! Never thought I’d miss the long events! I actually miss having multiple things to do, like when you’d have to hunt all through your town and tap things in addition to sending people on tasks and crafting things!
I love Simpsons Halloween, but the last few years they seemed to go down hill.

I’ve always enjoyed the Halloween event. But I don’t think I’ll continue playing because I’ve run out of land to purchase and I can’t get any tokens for free land. If I play, I have to store everything. Why wouldn’t they want us to continue to play?
Check back here for Black Friday or Christmas, maybe EA will offer Golden Goose Realty again.
1. Roaming NPCs to crush (not gonna happen)
2. Crafting (yea I know people hated it in the past)
3. Wheel-of-horror (everyone hated the wheel in the past, what’s Halloween without a little torture thrown in ???)

I would really like to go back to grinding and mini games and several currencies. This format is way too simple. I barely open the game anymore.

Haven’t played since Feb, I’m willing to come back if there is a format change. If there isn’t why even bother carrying on? At least go back to year 1 or 2 when it was popular if they can’t think of anything else. The game is dying unfortunately.
While I agree with the current event format being changed or at the very least tweaked to make it more interesting, I don’t agree with you that the game is dying (the only time I might’ve agreed with you on this was when there was the lull in spring last year) since there is still new and old content being released. There are also new updates every month (the only time there isn’t anything released is in the downtime between events which is usually a week). TSTO is also 7 to 8 years old and there is still plenty of content available to be released from new and classic seasons of the show so content wise the game is far from dying.
I have been playing for years and my inventory is full of stuff that cannot be sold and not used. How about a inventory sale to have a good clearance. Prizes in the mystery box are so repetitive, please, please add some different prizes it’s getting so boring. I need something different. Still love the game though.
To avoid players complaining that they accidentally sold a premium item, EA has made it impossible to sell premium items.
Patric must be over joyed with an item limit increase.
Looking forward to the Halloween event. Hopefully you’ll be able to share who we should keep free for the event. I may be starting a brief temp job next week and that info would be very helpful.
We will definitely share that info with you. What I can say is the same thing I say every event, keep the usual suspects free (the characters even new players at lower levels would have access to).

And when in doubt, keep ‘em free.
Clear tasks the night before.
Go to bed withOUT assigning any character to do anything.
Or you can just realize that you’ll have plenty of time to finish the event and send them all on the tasks that you would normally would.

Was considering installing the game again. Is it still the case that you can only buy land with Land Tokens? (that was the deal breaker for me)
Yes and no. There’s some land available for cash, and some for tokens only. Depends on the land tiles you have available.

Well, I’m probably one of the few long-time players who -isn’t- near the item limits, but bonus points to EA for finally listening to everyone else 🙂
What I am hoping to see is some items from last year in the vault or yearbook. I haven’t had a yearbook or other boxes of older items for a long time.
As for the event, It will be great to see what they are offering, now many acts there are and so on.
Upping building limits is great.
