Simpsons are all new tonight with a brand new episode at 8pm on FOX.
Thanksgiving weekend is nearing a close and so is Blargsgiving in TSTO. How was your Thanksgiving? (We fried our Turkey for the first time this year, it was delicious!) Have you enjoyed Blargsgiving? Ready for Christmas? Snow in TSTO?
How’s your Springfield design coming? What are you doing with your town? Share some photos in the comments below! Any weekend excitement going on in your neck of the woods? Holiday decorating? Our halls are decked, the kids fought over who got to put which ornament on the tree. They all ended up in one clump on the front of the tree… making memories. Of course I happily fixed it later in the day. (And they only broke one…)

Wow! So…what a Thanksgiving! Right??
So many new ways to celebrate, without actually celebrating, unless you did celebrate by ignoring common sense, which may or may not have been an actual edict in your hometown, or was just a guideline…which we all know means “do what you want, we have warned you!”
You may think I am talking about Covid regulations. I am not.
I am talking about the vast number of ways people celebrate a holiday which has one of the shakiest origin stories ever…in ways that may or may not actually be putting their lives in immediate danger.
And more to the point…In Which Thanksgiving Traditions do YOU partake, that could be considered “Outside the Norm,” (especially since Norm was not invited this year)?

This email came in from Blue Drogo about his thoughts on the current state of TSTO, from a long time Tapper perspective. I read his email and just thought it was well thought out and deserved to be spotlighted on the site.

I have been playing this game for 8 years now and I wanted to share my thoughts as an experienced player and how I think EA has been letting users down.

It’s finally Turkey Day here in the US! And you know what that means…Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Apple and Pumpkin pie, football, stretchy pants, and insane sales at the mall!
You may notice things a little quiet around here today (you can always check out the details of the Blargsgiving Event here, as we take the day to celebrate the holiday with our families. Although…..Super Safi will likely be lurking around the comments, as Canadians celebrated Thanksgiving last month. So like a lot of you, Safi will be working today too!
However, we couldn’t let a day dedicated to being thankful go by without a special THANK YOU to YOU…our AMAZING readers! We are so thankful for each and every one of you that take the time to read our posts and comment. So from Patric, Wookiee, Safi and myself…THANK YOU!! You guys rock and we couldn’t do this without you!
Here at Addicts, we’ve all been blessed in so many ways and we hope you have too! In this year from Hell all around the world, please take a moment to remember you are not alone and, despite what the world may be telling you, you have a lot to be thankful for…even if it doesn’t always seem that way.

It’s that time…calling all Addict Designers! We’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff, and this time around I want to see what you’ve done with the Blargsgiving/Thanksgiving (and Black Friday) stuff! With new and old buildings and decorations arriving with this event, show me how you fit them into your Springfield! So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
As always please remember to limit it to 1-2 of your favorite areas/photos…we can’t show your whole town, unless you want to send in your entire town via town portrait.
So use this time to polish up your town and show us how creative you can be! Send in your Thanksgiving-ish designs (by 8pm ET Tuesday, December 1st) and we’ll be putting up the Showoff post featuring your designs on Wednesday, December 2nd.
Remember, your designs can be anything and everything from Blargsgiving, Black Friday or Thanksgivings past, and how you worked it into your Springfield
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm ET Tuesday, December 1st, can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂
