It’s everyone’s (well almost everyone’s) favorite time in TSTO, the annual Treehouse of Horror Event! Yes, Halloween in Springfield has always been big deal in TSTO and this year is no exception! Also always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…
The 2020 THOH Event follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it. This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting just over a week (10 days) and taking us through a new part of the event!
For Act 2 we’re tasked with collecting Cursed Scrolls! Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the second part of the story. So let’s take a look at the details behind Act 2 and the Turbo Tappin’ Version for Hell is Other Students…

Thank you, Patric for posting regarding Network Issues (this is a continued problem with EA regarding every game platform – Console, PC, Mobile – and it’s global, but not all at once). 👍🏻
There are issues regarding an existing Network being upgraded (ie which can affect those of you and your internet access, too), and / or down for maintenance. Sometimes the weather can affect your access to the internet (it can also affect EA’s Networks). 🤔
I have mentioned before that just about every Game under EA is no longer using Origin Accounts (TSTO is one of the last to still use it). They are implementing EA Play and EA Play Pro (who knows if TSTO will switch to this, or Ride it out on Origin to the end). 🤔
As for Device issues? We’ve had some great Posts in the past regarding what could impact your gameplay – low RAM (at least 3GIG and up is preferred), low ROM (this Game App does take up a lot of space) – but we’ve also dealt with the OS being a problem (old Amazon Kindles don’t seem to work well, older Android Devices using OS 7.0 Nougat and older aren’t going to be supported, some older iPhones and iPads no matter if the OS has been upgraded …. they’re having some problems, too). most would agree there comes a time when your Device is obsolete, so if you manage to get in contact with EA Customer Support? they’re going to inquire about everything above (you will either gain a solution, or you will be encouraged to get a newer Device). 🤔
Please don’t let anything discourage you from Tapping, just be aware that this Game App is not 💯 perfect (no Game App is, but TSTO is still one of the top Games of its kind available – World Building, Simulation). 👍🏻
If you visited the official TSTO Facebook, you would see both compliments and constructive criticism regarding everything mentioned above (ok, there are also complaints regarding “connecting to the game app issues”, too*). 🤔
I tend to do both – thank EA when they deserve it, call them out when it’s not – but I am polite, and encourage everyone else to do the same (mean people get flagged, rightfully so, because it’s just bullying). 🤔
Tokens are an example – great to obtain if there’s Content inside a new Mystery Box for a Tapper (worthless if there’s no Content for you, because you already have it!) If EA is seeing to it that Tappers can obtain Tokens for 🍩’s (or for real 💵), that seems fair to me (trust me! if there was new Content worth the real 💵, I’d pay EA and say thank you!) 👍🏻
You can still Farm for 🍩’s, or you can still pay EA real 💵, or do neither and still play this Game App (there is no right , or wrong way, to Tap in this Game App). 👍🏻
Act 2
there are some Prizes that are FUN (HELL LABS Building, LISAFER Character Skin!); because there are Questlines and / or Visual Character Tasks with them that are rewarding ….
there are some Prizes that are CRAP (Decor that’s Dumb, Decor that’s the same Dumb format, and there’s too much of this!) because it doesn’t offer anything ….
Did I miss an explanation of why there is no token for the mystery box in the prize track for Act 2?
No explanation. There just aren’t.
5 new prizes on each track from here out. If you want tokens you have to buy them
I’m guessing someone at EA might’ve read a couple of your musings posts about the tokens as prizes and made the change for this event to 5 new prizes per act. I personally don’t mind the mystery box tokens as prizes as long as I have items in the mystery box but the tokens could’ve also been included with the not so great prizes in the event.
Hi, isn’t there a difference between memory and storage.
Defo reboot the device. Try and find a memory testing app maybe.
So, when I first started act two, the over all cards needed for part one was stated as 125 needed at the time.
Then, the next day, after completing the task one time, it jumped to 150 needed.
I’m guessing this was just visual glitch, but I figured I’d mention it anyway, incase it happens to anyone else, or happens again going forward during the event.
Hello, I’ve been playing for years and suddenly had a message today saying my device doesn’t have enough memory. My phone has 20GB of free space though.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still getting the same message. Any ideas?
Free up more space on your phone. Larger events like Halloween and Christmas require a ton of free space. You can also try clearing your cache
Thanks Alissa, I’ve got 20GB of free space though. And have tried reinstalling, clearing cache and doing a soft reset of the phone. So I’ve raised with EA.
